One of my contacts just recently went from an older phone to an iphone and my iphone us still sending text messages rather than imessages. How can i fix this?

I have tried switching the contact from mobile to iphone. I have also tried deleting the conversation from the message screen but nothing seems to be changing my messages to that contact to imessages.

Changing the label for the cell phone number has no effect on this.
You are certain this contact has registered iMessage on their iPhone and has iMessage turned on?

I need help!! My iPhone 4s lost contacts in messages after restore! How can I fix this?

Earlier today I turned my phone off and back on...then I noticed that my contacts in my messages were not showing up, only the numbers. I tried to do a backup restore-- didn't work. I tried adding a +1 in front of all my contacts, that didn't work either. My contacts are still there, they are just not syncing with my messages. How can I fix this?

You would need to make sure you're accessing the Computers icon. If you are under the Music icon, that will be accessing the cloud and only show iTunes purchases (unless you subscribe to iTunes Match)

I have recently had to install itunes and it won't sync with my iphone 4s even though I have signed in to my apple id, how can I fix this?

My laptop needed wiping and rebuilding. I built it up and re downloaded itunes. However it will not sync with my iphone. It is not devices, it is computers only. You can have up to 5 computers authorized with the same iTunes account.
The computer you are using is not activated with your iTunes account with iTunes? If not, is a computer available that is activated with your iTunes account? You can deactivate all computers from one computer that is activated following by activating the computer you are using now.

I just upgraded from version 3.6.17 to 5.0 and ext. tells me Roboform and Constant Guard Protection offered through Comcast are both incompatable. How can I fix this or should I just go back to 3.6.17, which I liked better anyway?

On another problem, I upgraded against my better judgment because I like 3.6.17 better, but it kept crashing a couple of times a day. You don't mention what function you want the AirPort Express to accomplish.
If you are trying to configure it to "join" your existing wireless network, you need to know the exact type of security that your wireless network is using fo you can use that same information to provide the correct settings to the AirPort Express.
You may be getting a message that the settings have been stored successfully, but unfortunately the settings that you have provided to the Express are likely the wrong settings.
The only way that you really know if the settings that you entered were correct is if you get a green light 20-30 seconds after you click Update. If you don't get a green light on the Express, the settings that you provided were not the correct settings.
When you click Update, the Express will "disappear". This is normal. Up until the time that you click update, AirPort Utility is communicating to the Express on a wireless network with a name like Apple Network xxxxxxx. As soon as you click Update, the Express switches (or tries to switch) to another network, so of course it will disappear from the AirPort Utility window.
As soon as you click Update, close AirPort Utility. There is no reason to keep watching a window when the Express will never appear.

I started the CC (PS & LR) for Mac in October. LR keeps disappearing from the CC Apps group and shows up as "Install" in the uninstalled apps section. How can I fix this?

I started the CC (PS & LR) for Mac in October. Twice now the LR shows as "Install" instead of being one of my installed apps. The first time I spent 3 hours on the phone with customer support. He finally recommended deleting the app from my applications and then installing again. This worked for awhile but now LR no longer shows up as one of my apps. LR is on my Mac though and I have been able to use it, although I'm not using all it's features. Any clue as to why LR keeps disappearing form my CC apps?

Try a Safe Boot by Restarting and holding down the Shift key between the startup tone and the Apple logo w/pinwheel. It will take longer to boot up in Safe mode. If successful, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk > select your OSx disk and restart.

I've had my mac for less than a month and for the first time I put in a disc. I can hear a laser sort of noise as well as the disc flapping about or a motor sort of sound? Sounds really bad to me :/

Sounds like a hardware issue.
Did you buy the system from Apple? If so how recent is recent? If it is new you have 14 days to return it, not sure what the situation is with refurb systems. If it is over 14 days you should still have warranty support make an appointment at an Apple Store or contact Apple support.
If you bought it from someone other then Apple you will need to contact them.

As for iMessage, you do Settings -> Messages (scroll down) -> where it says iMessage, turn the switch to off.
As for pictures, you do Settings -> iCloud -> Photo Stream -> My Photo Stream -> turn switch off.
As for apps, you do Settings -> iTunes & App Stores (scroll down alot) -> Music, Apps, Books are all swtiched off.
If you want to the delete the music, you go onto the music app and slide your finger from right to left on the song.

You do NOT need to restore your iPad.
I believe that the problem is that there is a disconnect with your iTunes account and your iPad. What you are experiencing is a somewhat common issue after you sync your iPad, update your device - it could be a number of reasons that are causing it. the recommended fix is to download another app in order to "reconnect" your ID and iTunes account to the iPad.
You can read more about it here. You will need a WiFi internet connection in order to fix it - or you have to be able to sync with your own iTunes library.
