One of my email passwords refuses to be recognized. why?

Are you using the mail application? 
Keep in mind, all your computer does, it forward the settings you have input into the application, to your email server.  Your email server must verify that you infact have provided the correct information.  If it tells you that something is incorrect, this message is coming from our email provider, not from Apple or your computer. 
Try this.....
Go directly to your mail servers web site.  For example, if you have a Gmail email address, you would go to Gmail mail sign in on the internet, and try to sign in there.  If you can sign in with your user name and password, the we know we must check the settings within the mail application.
If you can not, then you may need to reset your password, as this would be the underlying issue.

    Can anyone explain why iCloud keychain and my email preferences refuses to save my primary email password? I keep having to type it in and yes I do click it to save, but it does not becaus the next time I open my email app, I have to retype it. It saves all the other email passwords just not the ME or iCloud password.

    I have thread on this already, and no resolution as of yet.

    iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
    Delete and recreate your email settings.

    I have tried repeatedly to add a 4th email account to Thunderbird. It is a GMAIL account. I know the password and username are correct, but it won't accept it. Anyone have a clue why?

    Go to gmail and read about their Less Secure Apps option. This is the usual problem with gmail.

    Yesterday I had to change my one of my emails password because it was hacked into... And it was the primer email for my bb 9330.  So I rest the password on the computer and went to my phone, and it say to verify the email..... So I did and it said failed.  Wrong password or incorrect email.... But its not.... So I had to delete it and make my 2nd email my main prim, and did an upgrade, thinking it would take... Nope saying my email and pass aint correct... Help

    Are you able to login to your email account successfully via PC? If so, what type of email address are you using? If its a webmail account such as Gmail, you may need to Unlock the Captcha before adding it to your BlackBerry. http://bbry.lv/vxI1I6

    You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

    Every time one of my email addresses doesn't work on my mail app, due to wrong password or whatever, it deletes all of the contacts form my phone.  What can I do to stop this from happening?
    I have tried deleting the account and it deletes all my contacts.  I have verizon and even using back up assistant, it says the contacts are there but they aren't.  The only way i can find a contact is if I start to type a name in and new text but once i sent the new text, the name disappears and it just shows the number.  Siri nor the address book don't recognize any contacts at all.

    I cant find any reciept in my email or in my husbands email.  I am going to attempt to call and speak to someone who can help me because this was not my fault except trying to be normal and update my phone!

    That's probably because it's been sent out to a Bcc'd mailing list and that's the name on the main version. This is so that you don't see the other names.
    If it doesn't come from something @apple.com then it's spam. Even if it appears to it's probably spam. If you want to change your password go directly to http://appleid.apple.com - do not follow any links in the email (even if they appear to lead to that address.)

    Are you leaving the box unchecked to Manually manage music & videos? You don't need to to add anything to the iPhone.
    Simply drag the playlist to the iPhone to manually add it.

    Click the Show Detail button. A drawer opens. Click Check Again and post the text that appears. Anonymize any personal information before posting.

    Same here! Happened yesterday to me on New iPad and iPhone 4S. On iPad I managed to correct it by removing the account and activating it again as an Exchange account...I have mail and calendar OK!
    On the iPhone nothing seems to  work!
    Facts:
    1. everything worked perfectly for years!
    2. I have the 2-step authentication deactivated  on my google account so it cannot be this one.
    3. On desktop everything works just fine, on iPad everything is OK with Exchange account added (after Google removed support for Exchange account access I CAN ONLY HAVE ONE DEVICE with Google Exchange account, so doing the same on the iPhone does not work!)
    4. Tried to remove and add the account again - no results.
    5. Tried to remove and add as Google, as Exchange, as Other account - I get calendar but no mail!!!
    6. Tried to reboot between remove/add accounts - no results.
    7. Tried to ("reset settings") reset the device - no results.
    8. Tried to add as POP account and I it worked - I get mail but I do not need POP as I am using zounds of mail with labels and need to be working on an IMAP account
    9. To make things even more complicated...I have another account which works perfectly!!!!!
    Anyone out there having a clue?

    I had to change my password for one of my Email accounts ([email protected]) and now I can not get the mail to go into Mozilla Firefox and I don't know how to change the password in Mozilla to get the mail into it.
    I looked at how to change my password but the options you told me to use were not available. I clicked on tools then options but there was no sync tab or manage accounts either.

    The login.salesforce.com website is using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
    You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

    you haven't told us what "Park" the "merry-go-round" is in
    tell us what actions you take to get Apple not to recognize your email address...
    Are you formatting it correctly? - username @ someDomain .com <- NO Spaces (I did it so the system wouldn't make an email link out of it)
    Tell us what happens when you realize  that Apple is "not recognizing" your email. What message do you get, exactly? Take screenshot of the entire screen for context
