One page website trouble.

I created a simple one page website for a friend of mine and it looks and works how it should in the preview but when I uploaded it to her website all of it got messed up. The All of the backgrounds that were supposed to be 100% aren't, the tabbed panel is overlapping? in a way, and the slideshow doesn't work. Is there something I did wrong? Or is anyone else having similar problems?

To achieve this you can create manual menu. You have the option for creating manual menu in Muse. Check this :
Later when you have created the menus, you can create anchors for different sections of the site where you want to direct the users when they click on one menu item and then link the menu item to those anchors.

If I made a 'one page website' can I refer directly to a sub page

I am currently designing a new website and are considering a
Spry style 'one page website' vs. a more 'traditional model' with
individual pages that includes content for header, menu etc. via
server side includes so they can be executed in there own right.
I love the snappy smooth user experience that I would be able
to create but I am wondering how I could send someone a link to a
particular sub section (ie. currently I would sent

and it would work nicely. In the 'one page website' the sub pages
only get fully formatted if loaded into the panel.
What I would like to do is to create a similar direct
reference capability. Have anyone done something similar. I was
thinking of perhaps having a parameter on the url:
http://www.domain.com/index.html?about_us.
This should then set the content of the panel on load.
If anyone has done something like this, I would greatly
appreciate it if they could share technical details. This seems to
be the last large barrier for me before going to this approach.

there are someway to do this
1.you could use old JS trick to hide & show element based
on element id (in your case maybe hiding a big div that hold 1
page), example :

2. second way was to call Spry LoadUrl() function and give
the callback, you don't need actually request anything using this,
you can use this to load
All the elements(DOM) on the page you request and set the
callback for it

3. third way was using spry tab panel widget, you can
re-style the CSS so it seem seamlessly integrate into your page :D
4. last but not least, using traditional iframe should help,
but notice this could be problematic if you use Session/Cookie for
your page

viewing the page source and CSS. Another really great tool to
have is
Firefox's Web Developer Toolbar. Can't live without it.
In answer to your question. Frames are one way to do this
(but not
optimal). A scrolling division is another way to do this. But
I have to
tell you that having lots of scrollbars on a page is annoying
as hell and
not very user friendly. People who can't use a mouse for
whatever reasons
won't enjoy your site much either.

One Page HTML Folio - navigation and analytics?

Hey there.
I need some advice. My company is thinking about making a folio but all done in HTML. So it would essentially be a one page website with multiple "articles." All of the navigation would be done in HTML.
If we did this:
1) would we be able to tap into the native navigation (when you tap the screen and the top & bottom nav comes up - you can scrub through articles or skip to a specific article)
2) could we have the folio shoot off all of the same analytics we would have if we built it the regular DPS way.

1. AFAIK, tapping on a web area does not bring up the nav bar. I'll leave that to someone else to answer
2. With Site Catlyst Analytics(JavaScript API) yes, its possible to capture all of the individual tabs/HTML analytics. The default Analytics would only report as web content

Embed pdf in website, show one page at a time, with forward and back controls?

Not sure if this is possible (or if this is the right place to ask), but I need to take a multiple page pdf, embed it in a website so its on the left half of the screen, have it only show one page at a time, and have the forward and back page controls.
Is this possible, and if so, could someone point me in the right direction?

Typically you would save it to a JPeg and post those on the web site. Expecting a PDF to show up depends on the client computer configuration and browser. This is too risky, unless you don't mind getting nasty little notes that it does not work. If you do it with JPegs, then all the browsers I know of can handle it. Then simply put the PDF separately for those who prefer to download the PDF and look at it separately.

Having issues with one page of a website when viewed on the iPad?

We recently created a 6 page website through Adobe Muse. When we view the published website on our desktop, everything seems to be working fine. However, when we view the website on our iPad, one of the pages (the "about us" page) seems to be "left aligned" while all the other pages seem to be "centered", which is the way we want it. All of our page properties are the same and I have checked for any objects or materials outside the white canvas. We cannot seem to figure out the issue in regarding the website on the iPad. Why is there no option to go back multiple pages when browsing a website? it is annoying thet there is no option with the back/forward one page button.

When browsing a fashion or shopping website, you often look at an item, then browse the colour choices, you have to go back multiple pages, before you can look at the next item. Where has the back multiple pages arrow gone?

To go back (or forward) more than one page, click and hold the mouse button on the back (or forward) button for a few seconds and a list of recently visited sites will show. The down arrow that used to be next to the buttons to view the list was removed to add more space in the toolbar.

One-page scrolling website not displaying correctly on Dell computers

I am having issues with my current one-page scrolling website displaying correctly on Dell computers. I am able to view it perfectly on a MAC. How do I make sure the website will open correctly on different screen monitors? My current page properties W: 1020 H: 31281. Do I need to recreate the document with a smaller page width? Some of my images within the website appear larger on certain screens and smaller on others. Is this common?

Firefox 4 deleted the feature to the right of the "go forward one page" button" that showed all the websites I'd visited in the chain from Home to the present one.

There was a little arrow in Firefox 3 to the right of the "go forward one page" arrow that I could click and it would display a list of the websites I'd viewed since I left "home". That is missing in Firefox 4. It is very tedious to have to "go back one page" over and over until I finally get to Home [or another earlier website]. Some websites won't even let me "go back" beyond their own websites, so I have to close Firefox altogether and start over, to get to a previous website. I really miss that little arrow!!

Click-hold the unified Back / Forward button, or right-click it to get the Back / Forward history for that tab.

No. But you can create a second site with those photos, protect it and link to it from your public site.
You can even have the page of the protected site appear in the navbar of your public site this way:
1 - create and publish the protected site
2 - in your public site create a blank page and name it for the protected page.
2 - add an HTML snippet with the following code to the blank page:

When a visitor clicks on the link in the public site they will be immediately redirected to the protected site/page. You can add a similar blank page to the protected site to send visitors back to the public site.
The Contents page of my demo sites (3 of them) are setup that way. I only have to edit one page (in the Contents site) instead of the Contents page of each of the three demo sites. Go to this page in Demo_1 (Embedtests) and click on the Contents link. Watch the URL field as you're taken to the Contents page.

Incidentally, your <!DOCTYPE> declaration specifies xhtml but your code isn't xhtml, which has various strict requirements about lower casing all your tags and attributes, and many other arcane things. I suggest using an HTML doctype instead. The most modern one is the simplest:

Most browsers are pretty forgiving of wrong doctypes, but just in case.

One page of my website ranges left

One page on my website runs down the left habd side in a line, the page functions as it would normally in that the slideshow works when clicked on and the menu work when clicked i seem to have tried everything, redoing the page etc. It happens on the latest version and the older version

It happens in firefox and only when I it says Ads or Advertisement in the menu (I know it sounds implausable but i have done many times) you can see it in the menu i have tried in the example i have created for you this has happened in all the versions of muse
