One photo into 2 faces

I have one image of two different people, and want to separate them into individual pictures of 1 person each

I don't know if this will help you accomplish what you want, and I am answering this assuming you don't mean the faces file within iPhoto.
I would open the photo, click 'Duplicate' in the 'Photos' pull-down menu. You will now have two identical images that you can crop and edit as you wish.

Why is a second image present when I drag one photo into iMovie timeline?

If I drag one photo, either from iPhoto or Finder, into the project library I expect a still image to be inserted into timeline for a default of 5 seconds. But the first two seconds of the still is another photo! I have no idea how this second image is showing up. The pics are regular jpegs, and open up fine in preview and iphoto. I can't figure out what is happening. If I delete the imported image and any connected transitions, then re-drag into iMovie, I still get a double image. Please Help!!!

To what codec, frame size & frame rate did you convert the files in Streamclip?

Help with import/drag one photo into iPod Classic 160

Hello - I could swear I've done this before --- I've got my iPod Classic 160 Gb synced to iTunes, and JUST want to drag one little photo onto my iPod (in the left column), but I get an alert & it won't let me do this. Can't you just add a photo by dragging it onto the iPod in the left column? I don't want to totally sync my iPod as I get a warning saying that if I sync for photos, it will replace ALL photos and music with what is in my iTunes library, and I don't have the entire contents of my iPod currently in my iTunes library. Can't I do a simple thing like add one photo? (It's a .jpg.) Thank you very much for any help.

Thanks again for your suggestion about taking the charger back to the store. We tried it there and the charger itself worked fine (shocker!) so we tried with a different Apple charger and my iPod. And it finally worked! The guy at the store tried to explain to me WHY the charger hadn't worked with my iPod (something about ampere or something) but when I told him that it in fact worked with my old iPod from 2007 he had to agree that it was very strange.
Anyway, they didn't have in stock that new slick Apple charger (small and thin compared to the big squared one I got first) so I ended up buying a Belkin charger that works great. So all's well that ends well!

I've got an almost perfect family photo that I need to swap one face in as my son was not looking at the camera and I can't redo the shoot. Anyone know how to take a headshot from one pic and swap it into another using Aperture or Photoshop? Thanks!

When doing this, I find it quite helpful to create an intermediate image with a transparent background that contains only the head to be pasted into the second image. First I paste the head onto this transparent background, scale it, rotate it or skew it to make it fit into the other image, adjust the lighting, then select it.
To be able to paste the head seemlessly into the second image (and without aliasing effects), I make the border of the selection soft (⌥⌘D); my Photoshop has a german interface, so I am not sure about the english localization, this command must be something like "selection -> modify selection -> soft border".
I would not bother to get the lighting and color excactly right in Photoshop, that is far easier with the "dodge" and "burn" brushes and color adjustments in Aperture.
To do this completely in Aperture, you would have first to combine both images into one (for example by creating a book page), then use the retouche->clone tool to stamp the head from one image to the other. I use this occasionally to stamp a face into a flower bud or for similar effects. However, for this to work you need a plain background and nearly circular shapes to be pasted.

I want a single photo to appear in more than one event. For example, I would like to be able to create one large event, (lets say for an entire trip), but also create individual events for each day of the trip. I cannot figure out how to get a photo to show up in more than one event.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Duplicate the picture is the only way to do this with Events. Events are a very crude way of organising. They reflect exactly the folders in the iPhoto Library on the HD.
Albums, on the other hand, are much, much more flexible. A pic can be in many, many albums and use no extra disk space whatever. So can create an Album for the trip, plus one per day. Just drag the photos to the to albums.
But even easier: Create a Folder - (File -> New Folder) and name for the Trip. Then a Smart Album based on date. So File -> New Smart Album: Date -> is -> Whatever. Then drag the Smart Album to the Folder. Repeat for as many days as you need. Click on the Folder, see them all. Click on an Album within the Folder for a specific day.

Does anyone know how to do a simple photo morph in Flash CS4? I have image 1 on keyframe 1, and image 2 on keyframe 25, but aren't sure what kind of tween is required or what to do with the tween.

You probably won't get what you expect (image morphing is not 'simple'), but... What you need to do is select each image on the stage and choose Modify -> Bitmap -> Trace Bitmap. The smaller you set the value in the panel that appears, to higher the image quality when it's done. Then you select the first and choose Insert -> Create Shape Tween.

Try this general troubleshooting procedure:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

In Editor, go to the expert tab.
Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from (face) to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer.

Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative.

I would also recommend to write the description into the meta data. This would allow to place a text frame above the image and it is possible to add meta information and file name automatically together with the image, when you place it or even in a prepared template.
Meta data information can be written easily in Bridge in the Meta File Workspace.

In iPhoto '11: Select the photo in the "Faces" stack, open the "Info" panel, click on the face name in the "faces" brick and then on the name below the face to edit the name.
