One Position - Two Employees (Persons)

SAP recomends that you have one person attached to one position.  However, some times you need to change this so that two people occupy one position i.e 50% each.
Using this scenario, how does this effect MSS with things such as Workflow and Viewing Positional Data for that Position?

    I am sorry I am reposting this question but my previous question was locked and could not reply on the same. Want to thank users for their replies.
    The system at present allows you to hire 2 persons on one position I want to disable that feature so that only one person is hired on one position.
    One of the answers provided mentions
    Edit the relationship of 008 to 'Error" in table T77VA (field '100% check') . I will restrict the employment percentage to 100%. If one person has 100% it will not allow another one in that position to be attached. However when I do that the system still allows me to hire another employee on the same position. Is there any other standard SAP menthod to avoid this.
    Also while hiring the staffing percentage is always 100 percent.
    Folks any help provided will be greatly appreciated.

  • Assign One Position to More than one Employee Subgroup

    Dear Gurus,
    Please is it possible to assign one position to more than one employee subgroup?
    Secondly, I have a case here where employees in a particular cadre called Junior staff have different leave quota based on no particular criteria. This means that two people can be assigned to one position and have different leave quota based on Union agreement. If I create one employee group for all those positions who fall in this particular cadre, it would be difficult to generate their leave quota since I can only create generation rules by Seniority and age. And if I decide to create all the groups there are by the leave quota each group can get, I am still constrained by having 2people assigned to one position yet entitled to different quota. Please how do I go about this?
    Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    as to your second point: a solution for this was delivered as part of the SAP customer connection program,e last year in note 816423
    This allows you to manually influence the grouping of the employee to have an additional criterion to determine leave entitlement.
    AS to your first point: I can't quite see, what the purpose could be. Sure, you could change time dependencies accordingly, so more than one EE Subgroup assignment could be captured. But the field is setting the default value of the same field in PA, IT0001. If there is more than one value, it cannot be decided, which one is to use. So, in that respect, it doesn't make sense. Then it's easier and better to just leave the field empty in OM and have it filled manually in IT0001.
    most comoanies don't used that field in OM anyway.

    assume PA define one position can be occupied serveal employees proposal.
    if this configuration will effect time management(PT) and payroll(PY) ?
    because I use positive time management,I will use shift planning and time evaluation
    and IT2011 IT0050? so I worry about  the proposal "one position can
    be occupied serveal employees" will effect PT module.

    No effective of PTM or PY. However, when you extend HR to ESS/MSS or use workflow to automatically pick supervisor, remember that, as per system, all Persons assigned to one position will have the same supervisor.

    When i am transferring an employee from one position to another i am not being able to do so. This position is visible in HRP10001.

    Hi All,
       I have requirment like one perticular PERNR i have one Org unit position costcenter and personal area. I wanted to move this PERNR position ,personal area and costcenter into new Org Unit.
    I mean The PERNR  Org unit needs to change with out changing the position personal area and costcenter.

    I am able to assign many holders to one position, within same validity intervals and 100% assignment,

    also what is the differnce between holder, person and user object types in OM?

    Hi Kavita,
    It is technically possible that more than one person can be doing the same job 100% of their time.
    SAP permits more than one person on the same position.
    However, as an SAP Best Practice advice, you should always assign only one personnel to one position as rationally a position refers to the place that person sits in the organization and should be unique to the personnel.
    All business partner, central person, person and user can be assigned as the holder of a position. Person is the employee and user is the SAP user name maintained thru SU01 (in case you might not have implemented PA module).

  • Assign Positions to Employees

    Dear Experts,
    I would like to know how i can assign the same position to several employees (for example in my company I have 80 Salesmen, and I don't think or believe that I should create 80 positions in Organizational Management, one for each Salesman)
    I tried to assign a position to 2 employees in OM, but the system requires that each of them should have a fraction of the 100% , which means that one of the 2 employees should work 40% and the other 60% !!!
    would you please help me with that, im totally unconvinced  that a separate position should be created for each individual employee in a large enterprise with 10000 employees for example !!!

    You can Asign more than one employee for one position. even with out changing the Percentage.
    But as best practice says it is fair to create one position for one fulltime employee as recommended.
    The solution for the query do  settings as below in mentioned path u can solve.
    Maintain/Change the time constraint as 3 (three) instead of 2 (two)  in the below path
    IMG ->Personnel Management ->Organization Management ->Basic settings ->Data model enhancement ->info type Maintenance->Maintain Subtypes
    In this path
    Select the relationship A008 Holder and change the Time constraint for object Position (S) Mark as 3(Two)

    Thank you for your subscription.  If you are Acrobat Plus subscriber then you can extract the pages from the PDF file using Tools> Pages> Extract pages.
    You can find "Tools" at right top once you open your PDF file in Acroat.
    If you are subscriber to PDF Pack then please download Acrobat XI Plus from www.adobe.com.
    PDF Pack service offers "Convert to PDF", "Export from PDF"(to Word/PowerPoint/Excel/RTF formats so that you can edit the exported files) and "Combine Files" (combine your files into a single PDF file).

  • I used to be able to download a lot of cd's, now I cannot download more than one or two cd's at a time. I am told that my 'cache' is full and I need to re-start iTunes to clear some of the 'cache' memory. What is the cache and how do I resolve this?

    Final Cut is a separate, higher end video editor.  The pro version of iMovie.
    Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow.  It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them.  You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
    When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
    Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
    Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
    Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
    Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process. 
    To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
    Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
    The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version).  Personal preferences showing here.

  • Work Items to PR Agents (Only one of two agents received)

    Dear all,
    I am facing a problem like this:
    In my PR Workflow, the task TS00007986 is assigned agents by position. There is one position applied for a particular release strategy and there are two agents under this position.
    Now, there is one PR created, it went to the correct release strategy and thus sent to the correct agent. However, only one of the agent is receiving that work item while the other don't. In another words, instead of sending to both the agents, only one received.
    In SWEL, the possible agents are showing both agents' names, but the icon "In User's Inbox" is only appearing on one of the agent.
    I would like to know, what would be the possible error for this and in such cases, how could I trace the errors?

    Here's an update on this issue:
    For example, the two agents are Agent A and Agent B.
    I think Agent A and Agent B both received the work items. However, Agent A executed the work item but later canceled the action without processing the work item (approved or rejected the PR). When Agent A executed the work item, the same work item would be removed from Agent B's inbox, but it is still in Agent A's inbox.
    The problem is, the work item has yet to be processed. In this case, how this issue should be solved (only processed work item is removed from all the agents' inbox)?

  • How to add a new custom field to one set of employees within one country?

    I am thinking of a scenario where a new custom field is dispayed in PA30 for IT0006
    only for one set of employees in US (such as for a employee group or employee sub group).
    Other employees should not have this custom field.
    All employees in this scenario is for US country only.
    Is this possible? Do we need ABAP for this or only IMG will do?
    Any details on how to implement this etc..

    I really liked the decoupling infotype solution.
    However, since some work has been done in the old way, I will try to describe the problem in detail.
    Our ABAPer already created a new screen 0200 as a sub-screen in ZP000600 module (I am assuming it is a module pool) using PM01 and assigned to 2010 screen; an alternate screen specified in IMG for country 10 as key (instead of standard screen 2000 for IT0006).
    This new screen 0200 is assigned to 2010 in PM01 transaction.
    These steps displays the 0200 sub-screen with added fields to all the US employees hiring in the respective personal action.
    I want to create a new scenario to suppress these additional fields for some US employees (say company code BKUS)
    I placed a new entry in T588M for module pool as ZP000600 , key is 10, alternate screen as 0200 and hide all the fields
    But, these additional fields are still displayed always for US employees for whom I want to hide.
    Did I miss any thing?
    I do not want to hard code in ABAP whom to display and who not to.
    Is there a IMG way to do this so that I can change the criteria later as we go.

    You don't learn much about coding if you don't write any code. Without seeing the code that was written it's very difficult to assist a person, since your solution may not be anywhere close to their solution. If the poster just wants the code to hand in or use as is then there is no learning happening.
    So, step 1 - post your code, step 1a - ask a clear question.
