One problem about ECL Viewer options

We marked the checkbox - Greyscale 24bit(for TIFF) to get a better picture quality in ECL setting(options->colors), but seems the ECL-Viewer cannot memorize this setting when closing the document and reopening, the viewer still has bad quality again and the user has to set the checkbox again and again,
1> Is there some possible ways to let ECL remember and load the setting everytime when the document opened???
2> After debug, seems when marked the checkbox Greyscale 24bit(for TIFF) the sap run below codes, but when open the documents for the 1st time, below codes are not readed, so if it is possible to add below into program when 1st loading??

I would recommend you to install the latest available ECL Viewer version 6 which offers a better display quality of TIF files from the beginning.
At the moment the ECL Viewer version 6.0 is not put to the SAP Service
Marketplace. Please use the following link to download the installation
files for ECL Viewer 6.0:

Before you install the latest Viewer version please uninstall the
current version 5.1.3. To check if the ECL Viewer is un-installed please

moment the ECL Viewer 6 is only available as a stand-alone installation
and therefore please check if you do not install any former ECL Viewer
version by the SAPGUI.

please check if you have installed the ECL Viewer properly. Please see the SAP note 1083901 and install the latest available version 6.
Before I would like to ask you, to uninstall your former ECL
Viewer before you installed Version 6? To check if the ECL Viewer is

Problems using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFF Files

Hey there!
Maybe someone here may have a good hint due to our problem?
The Situation as it is:
We are using ECL Viewer to display multipage TIFFs.
The Process looks like following:
The first step is to show a list of files situated in the user's personal folder(Network-Share).
Then the user selects one of these Files through a mouse-click -> The File is displayed via ECL Viewer.
Now the user selects the personal-Id where this file should be connected to and selects "SAVE".
The Programm closes the Viewer and saves the Data in SAP Archiv.
>> Everything works fine till here.<<
But now the last processing-step would be to delete this file from the user-folder.
(So next time the users starts it there will be only files he/she has to work on...)
Here an error message is telling us that the file can not be deleted because there s some kind of file lock set...
This problem only occurs only during processing multipage-Tiffs after paging down (swiching to page 2,3,4...) once at least.
Any Idea what's the cause here - or how to get through it?
We are using a CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER objekt as base -> hooked on that is a CL_GUI_ECL_VIEWERBOX and the TIFF itself is displayed wit an I_OI_DOCUMENT_VIEWER objekt.
Maybe we get confused while destroying the "Connections" to the FIle oder something with Automation Queue Handling is not implemented right?

Problem with Ecl Viewer

Hello friends,
                    I am working on a program for 3D image rotation. The .stl file is opening properly and I am able to rotate it.
                    Now my problem is when I use the redlining feature,I am able to add a comment on the image but when i click save button provided in the toolbar the file gets saved with .xxx and .vpl extension.
                    What i want is when i add a comment on the image and save it,the comment should appear again when i open the file next time,but currently this is not happening.
                    How to do this ????

Can you upgrade the ECL viewer to version 6.0 and check whether the same problem still exists? you can download from service.sap.com

Problems with "show view options window"

In Snow Leopard when I click Finder>View> Show View Options. The window that pops up looks different form what is supposed to be, is like this.There is no "use as default" button. I tried everything, restarting in safe disk mode, deleting all .DS_Store files, deleting the com.apple.finder.plist form the Preferences of the User without any success. Can anyone help? Am I left with just having the re-install the system?

Although the Desktop is sometimes treated as if it were a Finder window, it is a special case. And, in this case, the View Options window for the Desktop (which you have depicted) will not display the "Always open" choice, since Icon view is the only view for the Desktop; hence, there is o Save as Defaults button for it either.
However, if you open the Desktop in a Finder window, such as by clicking the item Desktop in the Sidebar of a Finder (folder) window so that the Desktop is replicated in a separate window, you can open the View Options screen for that 'folder' and have those settings available.

Problem about blank enumeration option in xsd

I have xsd schema with an empty enumeration option.
I use this schema to generate webservice
When I test the service using the empty enumeration option, it throws

Actually I have used EDIT_MASK to rectify filter problem by passing conversion exit.
But for those fields which are not having any conversion exit, the filter problem still exists.

ECL Viewer + JT causes SAPGUI crash

Hi Guys,
we want to view JT-Files in SAPGUI640 but it will not work on two special machines. On those ones, you can choose a JT-File and while open it the whole SAP GUI crashes without any further error code or information.
These are WIN XP SP2 machines with additional Sican V7.0 R3, Walter TDM Stand 30.09.2003 2.4.0.0, AutoCAD Mechanical 2005 N.63.0, Acronis True Image 11 installed on them.
We did following steps to solve the Problem:
Update ECL Viewer to 5.1.3.
Reinstall ECL according to Note: 1097432
Updated GUI to 710
But after all, we always get the same phenomena. Could you please help?!

ECL VIEWER and AUTOCAD 2008/2009

Is the ECL VIEWER 6.0 (last version) compatible with Autocad 2008 e 2009? If not, when SAP will release a new version compatible for each one.

Go to Settings>General>Usage, and under iCloud, click on Manage Storage>click on your device, then under Backup Options, turn Photo Library off and then back on. See if that clears it up.
If it does not, reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, see if the issue is resolved.

The problem is that program does not see isocp.shx and simplex.shx files
These files holds font data for CAD files
I downloaded these files from internet
The question is
How to instal it to be visible for ECL Viewer??
I got also another problem
ECL Viewer does not hold user settings for colors
can somebody help me these issues??

Hi Damian,
As a solution you can think of the possibility to use an external DXN Viewer. Therefore you have to maintain the parameter %AUTO% in transaction DC30 for you DXN Workstation application. This parameter will call the external viewer
which is maintained in the Windows folder options for format DXN.
ECL Viewer does not hold user settings for colors

When you click options button in ECL viewer, under the toolbar tab, you can tick:

[ ] Previous Page
[ ] Next Page
[ ] Last Page
After ticked, the button will shown on the screen. The problem is I need to do these settings in very PC, is there any ways I can make it default in SAP? so that I no need to set in every PC

Some questions about view options for single folders

hi,
I'm trying to customize the finder a little, but I'm running into some troubles. It seems that finder is not capable of saving view options for single folders, is it? What I mean is: For example I want my standard view to be "column view, sorted by name". But one specific folder I want to open in "list view, sorted by date modified". I can't get finder to do it.
In View Options, there is a checkbox "Always open in XXX view". But it only seems to work if I cmd-click that folder so it opens in a new finder window, but not if I stay in the same window, which is really annoying.
With file-sorting, it seems as soon as I chose "sort files by date modified" finder does this for ALL folders, not only the one I'm currently in (regardless of whether I use View -> Arrange By or View -> View Options -> Arrange By)
Ideas? I can't believe that those basic features are actually lacking in finder.

well, I think I see what the problem is.
I usually use column view. In column view it is enough to single-click on a folder to open it. When you do that, a new column with that folder opens. When I double-click on a folder on the other hand, it behaves the way I want it to be (opens in the view I set for it). So it seems like I will have double-click every folder in order to behave it the way I want (annoying as well, but I guess there is no other solution).
Btw, if I create a new folder on my desktop and change it's default view it works, because clicking on a folder on the desktop is pretty much the same as opening it in a new window.

edit: ok, seems I was wrong. it worked for the desktop-folder, but doesn't seem to work for any other folder (it DOES work when cmd-double-clicking it though). strange.

ITunes Show View Options - Display an option for all playlists in one go??

Ive got about 200 playlists and need to show the same option for each (BPM).
How can I tell iTunes to display the BPM in ALL playlists in one go?
I can't manually select it from
View
Show View Options
Tick BPM
Close Show View Options
on all 200 playlists, it would take far too long.
Any help?

iTunes does not provide a way to do that. When a playlist is first created, it inherits the "View" from how the Music library is set at that point in time. From then on, changes to its View settings are independent of all other playlists.
There may be a script somewhere that helps. Otherwise you have to do them one at a time.
It can however, be done with fewer clicks than you state. Right-click any column header (preferably the one to the left of where you want BPM to show) and click the item "Beats Per Minute."

I don't know whether there is a button in the dialogs, but you can change your settings using the about:config preference editor.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''security.warn''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Bold items have been customized, and non-bold items are the default settings. I think the one you are looking for is '''security.warn_viewing_mixed'''.
If you change the value and test on a real web page, does it do what you want?
