One report to check status of project/wbs(TECO/REL)+ available budget

Dear All,
Please advice. Is there any report (one for all ) which can show Status of project/wbs + available budget of a project. I tried cns43, cn41 and report s_alr. But it shows in different tcode/report. Hopefully there is a standard report that can show these in one report.

CN41 shows the Current Budget and not Original Budget.
If Available Budget in your terms means difference between Current Budget and Actual, you can include a column 'Difference' from menu.
Select the Column Budget 1st, Menu Edit>Comparison> Choose Actual Cost.
The output shows the difference and percentage. Problem now is you can't view the status.I can't think of anything standard which exactly gives the ouput columns you are expecting.

But KOSRLIST_PR will show (if you have valid entries) the settlement receiver something like below with WBS element information and settlement details:

In my testing I find that only realesed (I0002) project travel througth the master system into the host system. Someone knows or has a list about the status of Project / WBS that the IDOCs takes to transfer by the master system???

Is there exist report to check the job start date restriction calendar ID?

In SM37, there are many jobs list there. If we choose one job of them, and click Jobchange, then we access in the screen for change the job status. Then click button Start condition, and there is a dialog which name is Stat time will pup up. And click button Date/Time, there will be a new button appears in the bottom. Click Restrictions, You will see a new dialog box which name is Star Date Restrictions. There is a field which name is Calendar ID in selection portion Factory calendar.
Is there exist one report to check all the jobs calendar ID instead of to check one by one?

Is there any standard report to check Requesting co.code and company code (assignment tab) by project and wbs. I tried CNS43 but there is no requesting company code.
Can we use SQ01 to create this one ? Any one can advice me how to make query for this concern.

Hi,
Report (S_ALR_87013542) is most effective report for projects as planned cost / actual cost / Project profitability will be obtained from there.
Planed cost of the project will be obtained from the report. E.g. if you are doing project costing through Cost elements, in the mentioned report, all the cost planned through various Cost elements will be obtained. After posting actual cost to project, there can be comparison of planned cost Vs actual cost.

Is there any way or standard report to check standard WBS (cj93) link to standard network/activity (CN03).
Normally we create project by using template existing, we would like to check the structure. Is there any way to check the standard template for it ( WBS template link to network/activity template).

Please try this:
1. Tcode : CN41
2. Change database profile: In that in the origin check mark the Standard structure. Continue..
3. At the bottom of the selection screen check mark the standard structures.
4. In the selction area for the Project hit F4 and select the project based on the standard WBS Element.
5. Exceute the report.

status of Project Definition or WBS element and also update
JCDS table data?

We have tried the given BAPI, but it is only used at WBS level.
our requiremnet is that when Project definitions system status is changed, then it should chg the system status of WBS as well as Network.. We got the BAPI for this named"
BAPI_BUS2001_GET_STATUS.. this is used to chg the status of Project and corresponding WBS but does not chg the Network. but in this BAPI also we are passing following
project but we are getting error like
Project _def: 40co-9001937
undo_system_status: DLFL
when execute, it given error like Error in processing FM was not executed.
can any one tell me why i am getting this kind of error
and also other BAPI name which will chg the status at all 3 levels like Pro Def, WBS and Network..

Commitments check before making project status TECO

Hello PS Gurus,
I have a requirement In projects. As per standard system, when we change the status of the project from TECO to CLSD the system checks the commitments, balance as well as actual cost, if all these conditions are fullfied the system allows to change the status or will not allow.
If this same check i need to apply at the time of changing the status from REL to TECO. Is it possible? If so how can i do it?
Either by User status ?

Go to BS23 transaction, look for CLSD transaction and then look for business transactions that are allowed and not allowed for this system status. After yoiu take note of these business transactions, for the user status you have created, allow and disallow the same business transaction. This takes care of the requirement.

Set WBS status in Project System from CRM Status

I am figuring out a solution for how to influence WBS element status in Project Systems in ECC from the campaign/Marketing plan status in CRM. Has anyone done it before or is there any BADI for it.

Changing the dropdown values for one of the fields in CHECK STATUS query

We are on SRM 7.1.
In the CHECK STATUS transaction,in the selection screen(QUERY),there is a field called "ROLE" which has teh dropdown values of "APPROVE BY ME","REJECTED BY ME" and "GOODS/SERVICES DELIVERED TO ME".Is there any way some of these drowpdown values can be removed?

Has anyone Connected a Crystal Report directly to a Microsoft Project file (MPP)?

Iu2019m aware I can save Microsoft Project Files (MPP) to an Access Database, Excel document etc. and there are ways to connect to a Microsoft Project Server.
I wanted to know if anyone has managed to connect directly to one though. Currently we use MPPs to report project status and other deliverables, and itu2019s been an annoyance to have to save the project file then export the data over into a new excel document when ever we have changes (since not all users have project or need all the data in the file).
Preferably, a user should be able to save that project file and anyone that has the Crystal report should be able to run the report against the MPP file. In addition to this, it would be extremely helpful in getting a formalized and nicely formatted report when running reports against rational and MMP files, thus giving an alternative from SODA reports in Microsoft word, which doesnu2019t always work well.

Ok, I answered my own question on the connection issue, but I'm having issues with the predefined fields that enter into the report. The Database Expert shows the correct table names, but when I select them and look at the fields, they are all showing fields that are part of the "Project" table. when I use "Add Command" and use SQL to do a "Select * From TableName" ,where TableName is the name of the respective table, I get the data I'm looking for. Has anyone else run into this error? Is the error on Crystal Reports side or the Data provider's OLE DB driver? Has anyone with a fully patched system encountered the same errors?
Current SetupCrystal Version: 11.0.0.1282CR Professional; Product Type:FullOLE DB Driver: Microsoft Project 10.0 OLE DB Provider
I have pasted my findings below, hopefully other people won't have the same issues I did trying to find this information. if anyone else wants to test and see if they get the same issues I did it would be greatly appreciated.
Connecting a Crystal Report XI to a Microsoft Project File (MPP)
Prerequisites (as I know them)
- Have an installation of Crystal Reports on the machine (a given)
- Have Microsoft Project 2000/2003 installed OR the Microsoft Project OLE DB provider which is installed with Microsoft Project (NOTE: Microsoft 2007 supposedly no longer supports OLE DB and requires an OLAP cube be made or a SOAP connection be used, which I donu2019t deal with personally)
Creating the connection
Start Crystal Reports
Click u201CBlank Reportu201D on the start page
in the u201CDatabase Expertu201D window, under u201CAvailable Data Sourcesu201D, Select u201C+u201D next to u201CCreate New Connectionu201D
Select the u201C+u201D beside u201COLE DB(ADO)u201D
If a u201COLE DB (ADO)u201D window does not come up, double click u201CMake New Connectionu201D
In the u201Cprovider:u201D box Select the u201CMicrosoft Project 10.0 OLE DB Provideru201D
The name may be different depending on the version of project you install and the patch you have on the machine
Select u201CNext >u201D
Under u201CDatabase:u201D copy/paste in the path and project file name
I donu2019t believe the other fields u201CData Source:u201D, u201CUser ID:u201D, or u201CPasswordu201D need to be filled out, and in fact, I got an error when entering in data into them
Example: u201CC:\Projects\Project Name\Current Schedule.mppu201D
Select u201CNext >u201D
In the Advaned information window, verify the project Name is the path of the project.
I have not found the use of u201CEnterprise Modeu201D (default: 0), u201CAlways Loadu201D (default: 0), u201COLE DB Servicesu201D(default: -5), or u201CEnterprise RUID Listu201D (default: blank), removing them or changing them did cause errors though.

Adding in Tables and extracting data
You now have a connection to the project File you listed. There is an issue Iu2019ve found though that all the tables you see listed are filling their fields in from the u201CProjectu201D Table, rather then their respective tables (Example: u201CAssignmentsu201D is pointing at u201CProjectu201D rather then the obvious connection u201CAssignmentsu201D). You can, however, use the u201CAdd Commandu201D and select the table you want with just a little SQL code:
Select *
From Assignments
After creating the command, highlight it and hit u201CF2u201D. You should be able to edit the name and change it from u201CCommandu201D to something more meaningful. At the current time Iu2019m unsure if the issue with the default tables all pointing toward the project table is an error on the provider side or Crystal Reports end, and if one of the new patches will fix it. I will update this document accordingly when I have more information and do more testing. I will note however, there is no way to change which table these preset fields point to.

Need to Create a Check for Plant in WBS & Plant in Network

Dear Guru's,
While creating Project (CJ01) my users are creating in a Plant, and while creating network for the same project/WBS, they are using different Plant Code.
Since my Profit center is related to the plant in CJ01,
and because of wrong Plant in network, all my PR/ PO is going in a different Profit center, which is creating a huge problem while auditing.
I need to Create a Check for Plant in WBS & Plant in Network...!!
Kindly suggest me the ways to do it and how to do it...

The Check you are trying to create between Plant defined at Project def and network level that should be same can be achieved through validation at the network level by using a user exit at network level.
                While creating the network you can change the plant value not equal to the value at proj def/network profile may be one of the reason is since the network type is defined for more than one plant (OPUV).
                While creating validations at network level we do not have the option of setting the prerequisite/check using WBS or Proj def fields (i.e. PROJ-, PRPS- fields)    so we need to create a user exit at the network level.
I am not sure but logically u can have a user exit for both prerequisite and check steps of the validation.
You need to create the user exit in program ZGGBR000.
Please take help from your Abaper for the same.

If Proj Profile = u2018XXXu2019 and Network Profile = u2018XXu2019 (or as per your logic if need be use a exit)
CHECK.
PROJ-WERKS = CAUFVD-WERKS   (This logic needs to be defined in user exit and set the same user exit at the check.)
Once you define the user exit in ZGGBR000, it will be available in the tab u2018exitsu2019 at the Prerequisite and Check levels.
The name of the form pool (e.g., ZGGBR000) that contains your user exit must be stored in table T80D.
It is important that you make declare the code generation program for your user exit; how many and what type of parameters you are using for the user exit. You do this by entering your newly defined user exits in the form routine GET_EXIT_TITLES. Found in program ZGGBR000.
Check with your Abaper to check on all the aboveu2026
