One SAP system in two MSCS clusters for R/3 Enterprise

Is the one SAP system in two MSCS clusters architecture supported on R/3 4.7 ( WAS 6.20), with SAP CI on one MSCS cluster and MSSQL on another pair of database MSCS cluster ?

I don't think so. The supported architecture is SAP CI on one node and SQL Server on the other node.

If you say the material master is available in the 1st system (where you create the order), then the material number in the IDOC may not match with the material number in your database.

I see that using PU12 you can export only PCL2 Clutsers. Are there any ways to move the other clusters like PCL4 ?

As far as data transfer, If have all normal configuration settings in your targeted system you can use LSMW (Use T.code AS91 in LSMW for recording) to transfer your data in your both cases.

How to transfer JPG/JPEG from one SAP system to another?

I am not sure this is something that is easily possible, if even possible, and can't find anything about it.
Does anyone know how to transfer a picture (JPG/JPEG) from one SAP system to another (both 7.00+)?
Scenario would be something similar to uploading a photo into one SAP system, then having it pass it to a central SAP system.
Any thoughts about how or if it is possible would be helpful.

I can think about at least two ways. One way is using web services or RFC. You can create a RFC enabled FM which would return a string of bytes (type XSTRING) for some particular ID. It's pretty easy to expose RFC enabled FM as web service. Consuming web service from ABAP is easy as well. Another solution is using REST based interface. You would write a HTTP handler which would return a jpeg image for particular ID. For example URL would look like http://<hostname>/image/?id=ABC and client would just call GET request for this URL and response would contain jpeg image.

Define the logical system names in both the systems.
Logical system names :SAP001
SAP002
SAP001 FOR 001 CLIENT
SAP002 FOR 002 CLIENT
These two logical system definitions should be present in both the systems.
Assign the logical systems to the client. (in both the systems)
Assign SAP001 to 001 CLIENT
Assign SAP002 to 002 CLIENT
you can See these in transaction SALE.
After this define the rfc DESTINATION IN sm59. (in both the systems)
In 001 client create the RFC destination name SAP002
In the tab log on security, give the user name and password and client of the 002 client and save it.
Similarly do the reverse in the 002 Client.
In 001 client create the port.(Transaction WE21)
Specify the RFC destination name as SAP002.
Now you can define the ports, (both the systems)
Create the partner profile for partner(ie gve logical system name of partner) , so give as SAP002.
partner profile in both the systems.
Now create the distribution model in BD64 and goto edit>model view>distribute.
The same model view will be visible n distributed to the partner system also..which in this case is sap002.
U may trigger the idoc from we19 and chk its status in we05.

hi,
the technical system describes the physical view and the business system the logical view, respectively.
So in most cases you must define both but while a technical system can only link to one WEB AS, more than one business systems can link to the same technical system.
But one Business System can have only one technical system.
Logical system for senders and receivers in XI can be defined as business systems which is associated with technical systems. You may req to create BS for identifying individual senders and recievers. Technical system is gateway having the technical details and it is in the ID we designate it to be either a sender or a receiver.

Yes - The BPM process will complete immediately.

Yes - But in this case the BPM process will not complete, it will wait until it receives the second message. Also it depends how u define the condition in Fork step.

If you want to migrate closed SOs..then first consider why? and from what date i.e how long back?
Following are the considerations:
1) You can't get the creation date same as your previous system dates--this might lead to incorrect reporting. So you'll have to check if its really worth?
2) You might want to have a reference no somewhere in the new transactions from the previous system.
3) If you want to migrate the deliveries, invoices then you've to consider also GL migration as well as payments.

Can we able to connect one Business System with two Integration Server?
I have one Business system (ECC 6.0 with the client 900) and it is already connected with PI 7.0 system.Can I able to connect the same sytem (with same client) with PI7.1?
I want to do the HTTP Connection for ABAP Proxy for this two XI system with one business Sytem ?
Is this possible ?Is there any work around solution there?

I want to connect same ECC system via abap proxy with two different PI system .One is PI7.0 and another one is PI7.1 system.
Is this possible if i use Application Server 7.1 or Application Server 7.0 SP14 ?

Redirect EDI PO's from one SAP system to another

Hi Guys,
I have a requirement wherein we have to redirect EDI PO's from one SAP system to another. What should my approach be? Since both the systems have the PO's setup, how can I differentiate the logic in such a way that latest system where we're migrating the code behaves in a same way as it is currently doing in two systems. I might be not the only one unable to understand the question - what are you asking exactly? To my knowledge, it's not possible in SAP to simply route the IDocs from one system to another - you'd need to map your EDI middleware to the correct system. But migrating the code is something completely different. So what is the question?

Maintenace Plan - Scheduling Impact - Migration one SAP system to another

I need a small help, we are migrating from one SAP system to another and will be creating maintenance plan (counter, multiple counter and time based) as a 1:1 copy of the source system in the destination system,
1. I have a requirement that all future schedulling orders (schedulled but not created) that are visible in IP24 in source system with a future date should be also visible when the new plans are created and migrated in the new sap system with a same date.
Can some one suggest the way to go ahead on this?
2. Also if in a source system we have a maintenance order open (follow up of a plan) how do i create it as an open order following up from the maintenance plan in the new SAP system.

Hi,
For this to achieve you need to schedule maintenance plans in new system with completion date / Plan start date of last completed call for cases where Completion confirmation is checked / Not checked. This is for plans with single package.
If the plan is of multiple packages, then you need to perform start-in-cycle using the last completed package and the dates as mentioned above.
Permutations and combinations keep on varying if the plans in old systems are counter based, multiple counter based, cycle sets with different dimensions are used.
You need to work out the schedule dates for each combination.

You need to Download the Program first in to Local desktop then upload the same to another server, we can not move the code directly from a server to another server without a Transport request.
but you can call the program from other server using RFC destination, create a RFC for that server and create a function module in the server which the program is there and use the SUBMIT statmet in that function module, then from the other server call this function module using RFC destination
