One Song Out Of Sync

Hello this is weird - I think!
There is one album on my iPod where Track 15 has become Track 1.
Now, easy you think, its got the wrong track number or the ID tag is incorrect - but it isn't I'll try and explain as best I can.
When I sync the iPod, and I look at the music thats on the iPod through iTunes(the songs that are greyed out when you look at your music) the songs on the album in question are fine, listed as 1 to 15 and in order on the iTunes window.
Remove from the docking station and go into the iPod itself, track 15 is now track 1.
But on iTunes, its fine, track 15 is showing as track 15.
Any ideas what I've done wrong? Thank you for any help you can suggest.

I guess it dosen't really matter, as long as you put in the song info, then you'll know what song it is, right? theo

  • Change of Video Frame One Sample Out of Sync with Correct Point on Timeline

Change of Video Frame One Sample Out of Sync with Correct Point on Timeline.
It has been found on the author's PC that, in Audition 3 in Multitrack View, a video file displayed in the video window will change its frame one sample later than it should do with respect to the correct point on the timeline. This has led to extra work having to be done by the author, as detailed later.
    To demonstrate this issue:
Create a new multitrack session. Enable the Time and Video windows. Enable only 'Snap to Frames'.
Using an external program, render a two-frame video clip at 25fps. Let the first frame contain the letter 'A', and the second frame contain the letter 'B'. Making sure that the Display Time Format is set appropriately, in this case at 'SMPTE 25 fps (EBU)', lock this clip on the multitrack timeline, ensuring that the clip starts at time 00:00:00:00.
Create a mono audio clip of silence at 48kHz 32-bit that is two frames long. Lock it on an audio track, ensuring that the clip starts at time 00:00:00:00.
Place the cursor at time 00:00:00:01 and create a cue marker at this point by pressing F8.
Zoom into the timeline so that approximately twenty samples are visible, with the cursor lying on the cue marker in the middle of the screen. The Time window should display 00:00:00:01. The Video window should display the letter 'A'.
Move the cursor back in time (leftwards) by one sample. The Time window should change its display to 00:00:00:00, whilst the Video window should still show the letter 'A'.
Move the cursor forwards in time (rightwards) by one sample, so that it overlays the cue marker again. The Time window should change its display back to 00:00:00:01, whilst the Video window remains showing the letter 'A'.
Move the cursor forwards in time (rightwards) by one more sample. The Time window's display should remain at 00:00:00:01, but the Video window should now display the letter 'B'.
As can be seen from the above steps, the video's change of frame content occurs incorrectly one sample later than it should; the change of video frame content should occur simultaneously with the change of the frame number displayed in the Time window, which is at the point that the cue marker has been placed.
The practical effect of this issue is that it has caused the author a huge amount of extra work on an 89-minute long soundtrack-for-video timeline. There were over 1100 changes of shot which the author wished to mark by placing cue markers at the beginning of every shot. This should have been a quite simple process of enabling 'Snap to Frames', stepping through the video, and laying cue markers down by pressing F8 when the shot was seen to change.
Because currently the Video window (referencing the cursor laying over a cue marker
i that has been placed on the timeline using the 'Snap to Frames' option
) will actually display the end moments of the previous frame rather than the beginning moments of the current frame, laying down a cue marker when the shot is seen to change will actually place that marker at the beginning moments of the second frame of the new shot, not at the beginning moments of the first frame of the new shot, i.e. the cue marker placed will be one frame later in time than it should be. If it is wished for the cue marker to, as best it can, represent the beginning moments of the first frame of the new shot, it has to be manually repositioned so that it is at least a sample later in time than the time at which the shot has actually changed, in order for the Video window to correctly display the content.
The author had to manually reposition all 1100+ cue markers.
Ideally, the Video window should display a change of video frame in synchronization with the change of the frame display in the Time window, which occurs at the position of the 'Snap to Frames' point.

  • How can I get one song out of an entire concert w/o losing the entire show

I have edited an entire concert, 2 hours, and have uploaded it to Youtube but I also want to get one song out that to give to the band for promotional use. How can I get that one song out of the entire show and still keep the entire show intact?
If I cut the song out and delete the rest of the show, I would have the song that i want but then how do I get back to having the entire show back on the timeline as I want to make it into a BluRay too.
    Thanks

Thanks Steve.. just so i am understanding correctly, I would save as and save a copy of the entire concert and then i could cut out all but the song i want and edit that song and when it is done i can save it so that later on i can re-render it in High Rez or for YouTube or whatever? and my original concert is still accessible for re-editing or re-rendering?
    Thanks again

  • One song will not sync...

I have close to 20k songs and one song isn't syncing to my 160 iPod. I can see how many songs I have on itunes, and it's one higher than what I see in the Ipod. Any way to easily track that song down?

    Does it play in iTunes?
Is there something different about that song like different source or format?

  • One song is not syncing with ipod touch - help!

it has synced the other songs I downloaded, but this one will not sync even though it is checked to sync, and appears in the playlist in iTunes. I've reset the iPod to no avail... it's an ipod touch 2nd gen.  I've also removed and re-synced the entire playlist and it simply will not put this one track on the iPod.  HELP!

I am having the same problem as well.  One song, purchased from iTunes, will not sync to my iPod touch.  It was on it last week, now it is not there.  When I plug the iPod into my PC, the song is in my library and it shows it in the iPod playlist when connected to iTunes...but it is no where to be found on the iPod.  I have tried to delete it from the playlist, and put it back in the playlist and re-sync, but it still is not there.  It plays on my PC in iTunes.  Any ideas out there for this one song issue?  Thanks all.

  • My calendar is one day out when synced from iPhone to imac

I have an iPhone 5s.  I have just bought an iMac 21.5inch.
When I connected my iPhone to the iMac to sync it, the calendar events all came over, but they are one day behind.
I am very new to iMac.
If anyone has a suggestion - I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

    Hi ellie,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  If your iPhone's calendar events are one day behind when synced to your iMac, check the date and time settings on both devices.  Here's how:

    http://support.apple.com/en-is/HT203483
Ensure that the version of iOS on your device is up to date.
If the option to enable date and time automatically is available, turn it on. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.
Note: The option to set automatically might not be available on all carriers in all countries.

  • TS1424 i downloaded an album off itunes and one song out of 11 does not play? what to do?

I bought and downloaded an album off itunes and all only 10 of the 11 songs play.  One song will not play, it gets skipped right over.  How do it get that one song to play, how can i re download just that one song?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • One song out of my 3,589 songs won't sync.

I have the iPhone 4s and 3,589 songs in my itunes on my macbook pro and when I sync it the number of songs on my phone is 3,588 not 3,589 which means that one of the songs is missing and I have no idea which one it is or how to find it let alone if I do find it what the problem its having with syncing. I have googled it and no one that I have found it having my specific problem, they are having similar problems but not the same. Any ideas on 1: how to find the problem song then if I need it 2: how to get it to sync?

    Does it play in iTunes?
Is there something different about that song like different source or format?

  • Number of songs out of sync

I have a 5th generation Ipod and I am having a problem where the iPod shows 2740 songs when I shuffle all but shows 3140 in I-Tunes. I checked to see if some of the songs had " do not include in shuffle" but this is not the case.I can not understand why there is approx 300 songs missing in shuffle mode.Any ideas?

How many songs are on the iPod total? You said iTunes has over 3000 songs, but that doesn't mean they are all on the iPod.
On the iPod, Main menu... Settings -> About and it will tell you all about your iPod including the number of Songs, Videos, and Photos.

  • Calendar one day out after sync

The calendar on my iPhone has decided to move all my appointments back a day. This has happened recently, but Outlook still shows all the correct information. My date and time settings are all correct as UK and on the right date. How do I either 1. Bring everything to the correct day or 2. Delete the calendar information from the iPhone and then sync again to try to resolve the issue?

I think this probably relates to an iTunes 9.1 update. See this link

  • Out of sync exports

    Hi,
we have this recurrent but intermitent problem:
When exporting (sharing) in Master File mode, Apple ProRes 422 with Roles as Multitrack (8 mono tracks), some of our projects are out of sync by a frame.
This we can see with a one frame 1khz beep set at 9:59:57:00 in the leader we use. On the export the beep ends up one frame early and the the whole export is out by a frame.
Most of our material is mxf wrapped xdcam hd or sd edited directly in fcpx using Hamburg Pro Media mxf plugin.
But the out of sync exports happen with other material too.
The problem is not constant as sometimes, after a few attemps we get a correct file.
We've tried rebooting fcpx, rebooting the whole machine, ditching render files, none of this guarantees us a perfect result.
Our leader is made of a Generator created in Motion for the slate, followed by a clip of Bars and Tone followed by more of the same generator followed by a self contained countdown built in Motion.
As Generators in Motion are sometimes buggy we suspected this as the source of the problem but we've had the same out of sync experience without using the leader...
help would be welcome as we can not accept a one frame out of sync master file and we need to have absolute trust in the exports we produce.
    thanks

Did you talk with AJA before upgrading? What do they say are the most current supported versions of OSX, FCP & QT?

  • Quicktime .mov is Out of Sync on My Flash Drive

I have a 8GB HD Quicktime .mov file on my desktop that plays perfectly fine.  However, every time I transfer that file to my 16GB flash drive and play it back on the flash drive, the movie is about one second OUT OF SYNC.  I have tried this three times with the same results.  Would appreciate any help anyone could offer.  Thanks.

what is in an audio layer?  if there's a sound attached, then its sync property must be set to stream if you want the display and sound to sync.
have you changed all your sound's to stream and, if so, has that solved the sync problem.

  • IPhone-only play one song then quits. After update

My Phone seems to have a problem where it only plays one song out of a playlist and maybe 2 seconds out of the next song and it quits the program and goes to the home page. The audio books don't seem to remember to start where they quit also. Worked fine before upgrade. Haven't tried to reset phone yet. Thanks for help.

Upon resyncing with my laptop this am the bug seemes to be gone and both problems have corrected them selfs. All songs play like they should and the audio books do remember where they stopped at.

  • Ical out of sync

I have been using ical on my icloud page on safari web. When I enter a new event for eg monday 24th, it appears on my ical on ipad and iphone as tuesday 25th - one day out of sync. I have checked that the time zones on all devices are the same. I have tried to reset, reboot, but the new entries are all a day out

I have since discovered when creating an event the default time is set to 12pm - this then for some reason translates to the following day on other OS devices. If it I change the time of the event to 12 AM it shows up on the correct day.  How can you change the default time for an event to be 'am', or 'all day'?
Further info: my computer is OSX 10.6.8 which wont sync with icloud ( I am scarred to update because of conflicts with Final Cut Pro) so I am using ical directly on web icloud.

  • HT1209 My Itunes Library and iPhone have fallen out of sync on music over the yearsare - how can I compare my itunes library with my Iphone  to see what songs are missing from my library so I can then bring my Library up to date

My Itunes Library and iPhone have fallen out of sync on music over the yearsare - how can I compare my itunes library with my Iphone  to see what songs are missing from my library so I can then bring my Library up to date

    Hello Solid Buck,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone.  I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.
