One static IP can reach FTP server. Other static IP can't...
you are trying the same FTP client and the same user/password on both IP addresses?
Just thought i'd throw it out there, pick everyone's brain. Here is the base problem.
2 Static IP'sStatic IP #1 can't reach the FTP server, when you go to log in, either through IE or cmd it prompts for the un/pw and when you enter it in, it doesn't take, just cycles back and asks for the un/pw.. (yes, the un/pw is correct). Everything else works i.e. you can get to the internet and anything else. Just the FTP sever can't be accessed with static.
(This FTP server is a a remote FTP of a mutual customer)Static IP #2 is all good can access the FTP and its business as normal.We've TS with the support team for the FTP server and they claim all is good on their end. If static #1 can go everywhere else accept this FTP sever, then there has to be something on the FTP servers end, right? I feel like i may be missing something, thought i'd throw...

One business system and two FTP server locations
Hi,
We have one business system and two FTP server locations related to it. We have to send two different messages to this business system.
It has to be send to both the ftp server locations.
How do we configure the receiver determination and receiver agreements ?
Do we need two receiver Business systems for this?
How do we configure the receiver agreements especially?
Urgent
Regards,
Johnhi
1) you must create 2 CC, each one to one FTP server.
2) how you send diferent message to each FTP yo only have to define 2 Reveiver determination, and two Interface Determination.
3)one sender Agreement
4)2 receiver agreement.
take in mind you only have 1 BS you must create 2 receiver determination, else if have 2 one receiver would be enouhgt
Thanks

Cannot connect to ftp server other than in safe boot
hello. After updating to 10.6, no ftp client in my use will connect or upload to an ftp server. Apple's finder (connect to server) shows the remote contents, but will not upload. Dreamweaver, FileZilla, Cyberduck and ClassicFTP don't connect at all. None of these occur in safe mode, which should indicate a conflict with third party software—however, which one could that be? I turn off all firewalls (including the system's); what else? I run Butler, no other third pary software. Anyone had that, or any idea?
ThanksCould it be a signal? Have a look here http://suite101.com/article/2012-end-of-the-world-predictions-by-nostradamus-a148071
On a more professional note, I think it is best to contact the host, he/she is sure to help you.

How to get file from FTP Server using File Control
Hi,
Any one did getting file from FTP Server?
Please let me know any one help me.
I would need to get file from FTP Server.
Thanks,
MadhuYes I have done that. But In FTP Server I cannt read file, because no previliges. Only I need to copy file from FTP Server to local server then only I can read that file.
I tried all options using FileConrol(getFiles(),read()).
getFiles() - It wont copy the file, it give information about file.
read() - I dont have previliges to read the file.
Please tell me any other procedure would be there for getting file from FTPServer.
Thanks,

How often syncs Firefox sync with the server were my bookmarks are storaged? Can I turn of the historical sync because one computer is at home and the other is at work. So I use totally different webpages and would like to have the history disabled.
OK, I found the part about history. It is just to unmark that.
But still i wonder how often it sync? Instantly? Or when closing FF? -
Can I set up an FTP server from a networked Time Capsule?
I've been looking around and can't seem to find this specific question addressed anywhere, so I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this.
I have a Time Capsule connected directly to my router. Other than its intended purpose, I would like to connect an external USB hard drive to it, and use that as an accessible FTP server for a select few.
To my understanding, port forwarding the router and giving WAN access would allow any user to see the entirety of the Time Capsule - which I do not want. I only want to share this one drive and have it maintained by an FTP login/password. I would then share this drive on the internal network.
Is this possible? Or will I have to run the FTP server off one of my workstations?
Cheers.Not in usable and reliable way no.. many things are possible.. if you have the (various bad words for foolishness or courage)... but it is too hard as there is no hacked firmware out there for a TC. It is a device intended for TM backups of laptops by wireless. Anything else is restricted strictly to what Apple want you to use it for. You can buy a cheap NAS, single disk unit will almost inevitably have FTP in them.. over network FTP is ok but remember it is not secure so you want SFTP for internet access.. And be warned.. FTP itself will be blocked from WAN on the TC.
There are severe FTP issues with the AE/TC.. the last couple of versions of the Gen1-5 firmware as well as the Gen 6.. See this thread.

https://discussions.apple.com/message/22927625#22927625
The last post in this thread by.. SBeattie2
I think will condemn you to replacement of the TC by a router that actually conforms to standards if you are trying to forward it to a workstation or NAS even.
SFTP might work.. see this thread.

This looks like FTPS which is not supported on the ASA. You can workaround it by trying to connect using Active mode from the outside instead of PSV.

ArjunHi Arjun,
Are you looking for external authentication(External ID option) in HANA Studio instead of logging by entering HANA User and Pwd(which is internal)?
You can look for the following Security guide which will give you some insight on this.

Can someone help me ue my ftp server
Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience using the built in ftp server. Heres what I would like to be able to accomplish and everytime I've tried in the past using it I fail. K, All I want woudl be to say, set up a file / folder that friends or say another person can download from my computer. Does this mean I have set up a new user account? Is the ftp server only usable for over local network, like in my house with other connected macs or windows. Can outside people access it or even myself from another computer. One more thing, I use DSL which has a firewall. I've open the ports for the main things I use. However how will this affect ftp server and how would this affect logging in. Hope to hear form someone.
NathanIn the sharing system preferences you can designate folders that can be accessed by FTP. When you're presented with a login/password request, entering your account password will give you access to all drives and folders to which you already have permission to access (basically, everything on your computer). If you do not provide a login name, the server will present only those folders that are accessible by "everyone" (you can set this in the permissions next to the shared folders you designate in the "Sharing" control panel).
The guest user is the user that's enabled when folks dont enter a password. This allows "everyone" to view folders you designate as "public" (by giving view access to "everyone" as I mentioned above). This user cannot log into the computer, but instead is reserved for network or remote access.
Anyone can connect to your computer with FTP (if they know the ip address) once it's enable, but only you will have access to everything on your computer. If someone enters an incorrect login name it will either refuse them or only give them "guest" access, which is restricted to the shared folders you designate as viewable by "everyone".
If you want guests such as your friends to be able to access files, just put the files in the guest-accessible folders such as the "Public" folder in your home directory. This folder by default is a guest-readable (only read...they cannot write to it) directory that's set up in the system preferences as such for FTP/AFP server access. -
UCS: Can't reach ESXi server
Hi,
i installed ESXi4 on UCS B200M1 Blade, after ip address Configuration is done isaw:
"Download tools to manage this host from
http://10.10.10.20/ (static)"
But i can't ping this Ip Address and i can't reach it by http.
I use the same ip address as KVM ip pool, i can ping KVM ip addresses.
I pluged and configured management ports only on UCS Fabric interconnect, i didn't pluged any uplink ethernet ports.
Did i miss something?
Do i need any uplink ethernet ports to reach esxi server?
thank youYou need to connect the uplink ports on your 6100's. The management ports are only for KVM or IPMI access to the blades. They will not supply connectivity for the vNIC's. Your ESXi install is attempting to connect to the network via the vNIC's. Also do not set the management IP for the ESXi host to match the management IP in UCS, this will cause a duplicate IP address on your network.

I have set up two email accounts on my iphone4, one with tiscali, my ISP, and the other on gmail. I am able to receive emails on both accounts, and can send emails from my gmail account, but am "Unable to Send Email" from my tiscali (talktalk) account. Java ftp server which can use LDAP, how to integrate with WLS' implementation of LDAP?
Howdy.
I'm setting up a java ftp server
(http://www.mycgiserver.com/~ranab/ftp/index.html) which is capable of using
LDAP for it's user security. I would like to integrate this ftp server with
wls' implementation of LDAP so I only have to admin one user list.
Does wls put it's user list in the LDAP or in it's own proprietary setup? I
tried playing around with it, but the users don't seem to appear in the JNDI
tree. Is this where the LDAP stuff is located? I thought it was in there?
If it's in it's own setup, is there a way to propagate the users to LDAP?
If these look like newbie Q&A, I guess they kind of are, I'm new to LDAP.
Thanks for any input you might have.Peter,
If you are talking about using the embedded LDAP server in WLS 7.0 for this purpose
I think you are going done the wrong path.
Look at the following URL on how to use an external LDAP server for your custom
application

Can't copy file from SAP-directory to FTP server
Hello,
I can't copy files from the SAP server to the FTP server. The file is created with OPEN DATASET and CLOSE DATASET commands and is placed in the SAP-directory S:\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMBGS00\work.
I can see and read the file with transaction al11, so I know it's there.
But the FTP command always gives the same error:
S:\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMBGS00\work\[FILENAME] errno 22: invalid argument
I can connect to the FTP, but the put command keeps failing. Somehow, the file in the SAP directory can't be read, it seems, even when
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
DaveOk, I found out that I have to use SAPFTPA as RFC destination type, instead of SAPFTP, otherwise the folders can't be located.
But with SAPFTPA I can't seem to connect to the FTP server. I've tested the connection with sm59 and it works, but for the FTP it doesn't work. When I use SAPFTP as destination type, it still works.
What can I do?
Thanks. -
Can a directory to be created if it does not exist on FTP server?
Hello SOA experts,
We are good with most common usage of all Adapters. But recently, I am facing a challenge when archive files on FTP server.
Archive files need to be placed into different folders for each month. For instance, ./archive/201308 for files archived in August. Next month, a new directory ./archive/201309 should be created, ideally automatically.
My question is, can I do through some configuration and properties setting to let SOA create a remote target directory when it does NOT exist?
We maintained multiple archive folders for different typr of documents. It is really a hassle to create them manually. And if the target directory does not exist, it would throw errors.
Thank you very much in advance.
Alena Li
CGIHi, After reading your post, I myself wanted to test this out. I thought that by configuring the following in the Adapter Wizard it would create the remote directory for me:
<adapter-config name="FW" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="FW.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
<connection-factory location="eis/FileAdapter"/>
<endpoint-interaction portType="Write_ptt" operation="Write">
<interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec">
<property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\Archive"/>
<property name="Append" value="false"/>
<property name="FileNamingConvention" value="%SEQ%\test.txt"/>
<property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
</interaction-spec>
</endpoint-interaction>
</adapter-config>
It failed on my BPEL instance however I could see that it was trying to create the file. When I created all destinations it was able to create it.
This is my recommendation from what I understand you'd like to accomplish:
Create the different Year&Month folders on your destination from Jan to Dec:
201301
201302
201303
201304
201305
201306
201307
201308
201309
201310
201311
201312
(You can actually create as many as you want going to 2090 if you want...
Add the below config to your JCA File:
<adapter-config name="FW" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="FW.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
<connection-factory location="eis/FileAdapter"/>
<endpoint-interaction portType="Write_ptt" operation="Write">
<interaction-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileInteractionSpec">
<property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\Archive"/>
<property name="Append" value="false"/>
<property name="FileNamingConvention" value="%yyyy.MM%\filename"/>
<property name="NumberMessages" value="1"/>
</interaction-spec>
</endpoint-interaction>
</adapter-config>
This will allow the files to be dynamically created in the correct directories.
This is a work-around and I hope this works for you.
