  • STO One Step Movement Type Configuration

Currently,we have a scenario where we want to configure a copy of movment 645 (one step) to use. The reason is we have follow on processes that are conditional and the stock transport is a logical move for business reason.
We are able to configure the copy of the original movement. However, what we are not able to do is change the subsequent "101" follow on movement.
We would like to change this. Can someone give some advice...

    Hello
Stock  tranport  order for 1st step  Plant to plant 1 step  has movement type 301 and there is no need to do GR.
The quantity of the stock transferred is posted immediately from the unrestricted-use stock of the issuing plant to the unrestricted-use stock of the receiving plant
Kindly recheck your scenario or provide more details to check how it can be done.
    Awaiting your kind reply.

  • One Step Movie - Burning Errors

Can't perform one step dvd. Keep getting error messages at the end. I know this vague but any ideas? Can i change my settings, optimize them?
Or anyone know of any good Troubleshooting sites/literature?

Try bringing the tape into iMovie HD and send it to iDVD. Basically the same thing.

  • Using "One Step DVD from Movie" on my IMac 10.8.6 using Verbatim DVD-R ("Life Series") 4.7 GB 16X 120, I get a wide angle version of my two minute story rather than the 3X4 standard aspect ratio that I normally get and want.  Help!

While using "One Step DVD from Movie"  using DVD-R Verbatim ("Life Series" 4.7  16 X  120 min) on my IMac 10.6.8 I get a wide angle aspect ratio on the DVD not the standard 3X4 aspect ratio.  The Quicktime Movie is is standard 3X4 aspect ratio and the video video footage is standard 3X4 aspect ratio?  Advice will be greatly appreciated.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
    3 -  reboot.
4 - launch IDVD and try again.
Personally I would not the the one step method but create the iDVD project  from scratch so you can make sure the widescreen option is not selected in the preferences and you can follow this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Movement types used in STO one-step process

    Dear all,
Presently the one-step STO process in my system uses mvt 645 for Good Issue and mvt 101 for goods receipt. I need to have it use a custom copy of mvt 101 for goos receipt.
Does anyone know where this setting can be changed? Can it be changed?
    Thanks

  • Need help bringing movie into One Step DVD

I am trying to do the One Step DVD with i-movie. I have done this before, but for some reason I keep getting the error message that there is no movie on the tape. I know there is. It rewinds the tape and then pauses when it tries to capture it. Can someone help me on this? Thanks! Kelly

Any time code breaks on this tape whatsoever? Did you try Restarting your mac and the camcorder as well?
If that fails, then let's try a different approach. Let's burn a one step dvd from a movie or QT folder. Let me know if this works for you or not.
Burning a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk
You can burn a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk, skipping the creative process involved in creating menus, modifying themes, and so on. When you insert the burned disc into a DVD player or a computer, the disc plays automatically.
To burn a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk:
With iDVD open, choose File > “OneStep DVD from Movie.”
Locate the movie you want to add in the dialog that opens, then click Import.
Insert a blank DVD disc into your computer’s SuperDrive or an external drive when you are prompted to do so.
A progress dialog indicates how far along you are in creating the DVD. You can click the Cancel button at any point before the burning stage to quit and leave the DVD disc untouched.
iDVD burns the disc in whatever format (NTSC or PAL) you have specified in iDVD preferences, regardless of which format the video is in. If the formats are different, iDVD warns you before burning, because some visual distortions might result in the burned DVD.
NOTE: After burning, to eject a disc from your computer’s internal disc drive, press the Media Eject key on your keyboard, if there is one. On keyboards with no Media Eject key, hold down the F12 key until the eject icon appears and your disc is ejected.

  • I movie : add several clips in one step

    Hello,
how can I add several clips (which are still on my iphone) in one step to a new i movie project?
    best greetings
    Heike

To make them "fly" you have to keyframe each clip; inserting a keyframe where you want the clip to "take off" and inserting another keyframe where you want the clip to "land"
After you've set the keyframes you have to go into the Motion tab and adjust the settings how you'd like them for both the "take off" and "land" keyframes.
Or you can go to the frame that has the keyframe on it then in the viewer you can move the clip to where you'd like.
I do stuff like this all the time. Here's an example:
    Jacob singing about 7-11 Hot-Dogs
    And here's another one:

  • One step DVD unable to capture video

I have made many movies using one step dvd in the past. For some reason, now I get a message "Nothing Captured" "No video has been captured" when I try to create a new dvd from my video camera. I used the same camera and connection cords on another apple and it worked fine. It worked fine on this computer in the past. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Bengt;
Good ideas but I have checked each of those items. My camera is set to play, the tape works and I am using my firewire cable. The strange thing is I did everything exactly the same on a different apple computer and it copied the tape to the DVD with no problem.
Thank you for thinking about my problem.

  • Trouble positioning a stepper motor accurately (to one step)

I'm using a PCI-7344 with an MD7506 motor driver from RS. I'm testing angle sensors whose voltage output is proportional to (you've guessed it...) angle.
I'm stepping the motor round by one step, checking that it's got there by reading the encoder, measuring the sensor voltage and repeating.
My problem is that the motor sometimes 'hunts' around the target position. In closed loop (with an encoder associated with a motor) this results in sometimes not being able to reach the target exactly with the pull-in moves.
Using open-loop and reading the encoder directly I get better results because I can loop more times, but the motor will still 'hunt' around a target point, changing direction a few times as it over
    shoots by a step.
As there are a million MAX settings for this I won't list them all here, but I'm checking for a move complete when the InPos flag is set and I have a deadband of 0 steps too. I'm only rotating at 120 step/sec with a 10ms pause between steps.
Do I have to accept that stepper motors are only accurate to +/- 1 step or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
Maybe other people will have better suggestions, but in my case I can advise to either:
    1. increase the number of pull-in moves,
    2. increase the microstepping of your drive,
2a... together with a higher precision encoder...
Other than that, the accuracy is advertised to +/- 1 step, so maybe you would like to consider a stepper with more steps/rev.
Good luck!, I hope other people will give other suggestions.

  • Outbound Delivery Document Flow (One-Step procedure) Goods Receipt

I am trying to extract the Goods Receipt status of Outbound Deliveries which are posted using One-Step procedure.  I can do this one delivery at a time using VL03N.
Some sites (plants) are configured with One-Step procedure and others are configured as Two-Step procedure.
Document flow of an Outbound Delivery is extracted from table VBFA.
For the two-step delivery process (Movement type 641) the Goods Receipt is recorded in table VBFA (Subs.doc.categ. / VBTYP_N = 'i').  Therefore, I can easily extract the goods receipts for these deliveries.
However, for the one-step procedure (Movement type 647) the Goods Receipt does not appear to be recorded in table VBFA.  Does anyone know which table the Goods Receipt is stored for one-step procedure?
Using transaction VL03N we can view the document flow.  It appears that for One-Step procedure the Goods Receipt is held at item level.  By highlighting a delivery line in VL03N and viewing the document flow we can see the goods receipt for One-Step deliveries (therefore, the data must be held somewhere).
I understand that by using One-step procedure the goods receipt is posted automatically, so we can assume that there should never be outstanding Goods Receipts for One-Step sites.  However, I have been tasked with the job of reconciling all deliveries for the past 12 months.  I need to prove that a goods receipt has been posted for every single delivery.
    Any advice is much appreciated.

Thankyou for the advice.   I will proceed with your recommendation.
However, the query is inefficient since the link between LIKP and MKPF does not use the primary key (Article Doc. / MBLNR).  We have almost 7 million records in MKPF table.
Is there any intermediate tables I can include between LIKP and MKPF so that only primary keys are used for the joins?

  • DVD stops at burn step during One Step.  Why?

I am burning to DVD home movies from mini DV tapes using the video camera.  Using iDVD and one step DVD option.  It begins ok but stalls and ejects blank DVD at the burn step.  Why? and what can I do to finish.  I am running OS 10.7.5
    Thanks for your help

It's hard to say with the step one process.  A better workflow, IMO, is to use the regular method, create a project, add media, etc.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
This way you can trouble shoot the encoding process separate from the burn process.
However be sure you're using good quality disks and burning at the slowest speed possible as mentioned above.

  • One-Step iDVD

I have several tapes I recorded on my new Canon HV20 dvd camcorder. I connected it with the accompanying firewire to the iMac and set it to VCR mode as directed by the One-Step tutorial. When I click onto "OK", it does nothing. Am I supposed to load the Digital Video Software disc that came with the camcorder first. I restarted the computer and repeated the process and I received a message stating "You inserted a blank DVD. Choose an action from the pop-up menu or click ignore." The pop-up options include OPEN Finder, OPEN iDVD, OPEN iTune, OPEN Disc Utility. When I select the OPEN iDVD option, it takes me back to the beginning, telling me to connect the camcorder to the computer with the firewire, insert an blank DVD and select "OK"......and, again, nothing happens!

    .....and, again, nothing happens!
That's because iDVD One-Step doesn't support HD content. Sorry.
From http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6757.html ; If your camera records video in the high definition HDV format, you can’t use the iDVD OneStep feature to transfer the footage to a disc. Instead, you must use iMovie HD to capture all the footage from your camera. Then, within iDVD, you can add the movie to a project, just as you do with all standard iDVD projects (projects that are not OneStep DVDs or Magic DVDs).

  • ONE STEP HELP

I started to do a One Step From my DV Cam to DVD. I thought i had enough space on my HD but evidently that was not the case. I got a disk full message so i hit the stop button on iDVD. It did not stop so I had to Force Quit. iDVD seemed to have used up to 5 gig of my Hard Drive and for the life of me i cannot find the iDVD One Step DVDPROJ on my drive. I did spotlight.. and nothing. Any Idea on where the file might be/

OK. Normally iDvd does generate temporary folder for One Step. But I found a work around. I did some testing of my own within One Step iDvd to see if there is a way to tweak iDvd'08 to create a captured folder to the desktop. To my surprise, the answer is Yes ... you can do this under "Advanced" preference settings apparently. But you cannot address these preferences within one step itself or while One step is actually launched. However, you should be able to address these advanced preference settings while any of the other types of Dvd's are selected or launched. Quit iDvd and then launch One Step again. It will make a QT file ... Should generate a .mov to the desktop that looks something like this:
I took pictures of my desktop during the entire process in a step-by-step procedure that follows:
Click on "change" and set the location to the desktop.
(It's worth noting you can address multiple copies of a 1 step w/in iDvd itself after the first copy is completed/burned).
Hope these steps are helpful but if not just come on back. And Good luck!

  • Odd One Step DVD Burn

A friend of mine wanted me to make some DVD copies of a couple of his mini dv tapes. Each tape has 2 videos each taken on different days. Instead of using Magic Movie, I opted to burn using One Step. I burned 2 DVDs for each tape and didn't bother to watch them on TV to see if they burned OK(I will from now on).
My friend has just told me the DVD for tape 1 turned out good, movies 1 & 2 burned onto the DVD. The 2nd tape burned as movie 1 and movie 1 instead of movies 1 & 2. The odd part is the other DVD copy of tape 2 burned as movie 1 & 2.
Anybody care to take a guess as to why one DVD has movies 1 & 2 and the other has movies 1 & 1?

OneStep DVD "loops" movies since there is no menu to exit to. That's how it works.
So, my guess is that tape one was a good tape and OneStep did it's job.
Tape 2 may have had some sort timecode problem or it may have been damaged in some way that OneStep thought the tape was over.
What you saw on the second tape was OneStep's looping feature.

  • Sound missing from half of One Step DVD

I have tried a couple times to make a one step DVD directly from my mini DV tape camera. I've done this plenty before and do not know why, but this time the sound is missing from the last half of the DVD. It is on the tape, but not the DVD.

    Hi
    My list on this.
    *No audio on DVD disc.*
    Most common origin.
    1 Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
    • Use this in Your movie project
2 Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
3 Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In
    4. Ed Hanna
Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple Disk Util tool
    • OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it
