One touch email suddenly bugged on straight-talk E...

Ok so i've had this for for about a month i'd say and i do like it however this problem just started today randomly when i went to check email. I did the normal of pressing the mail button , it asking me which source to choose , this is where the problem occured;
1. Usually pick my home LAN or the tracfone internet, since i was to far away from home i chose tracfone.
2. it kept asking me to sign in to my gmail account which i did then loading , then asking again, loading , asking again till finally it showed this message server connection refused check you username and password.
3. once i got home i tried through my LAN and it went through fine but once i did it through tracfone same ordeal again
4.So i tried deleting it completely to make a new one, well now it wont go through at all because the only choice to start it is the tracefone internet atwhich it still will not for some reason connect to.
Really unsure of what to do i tried looking it up through websearches not much luck , i tried calling straight talk but i need to call through a different phonefor them to do it and i honestly feel majority of the time they have no idea what they are talking about.

I just knew it.
Spoke too soon.
Standing by for next update to fix this problem.

My One Touch III 600GB drive, external power supply, suddenly will not mount and is not recognized by the system profiler or Disk Utility, however, drive, connected USB, appears under windows XP.
1. Power cable and usb cable working.

4. Drive works on Windows, folders and data integrity ok.

First off what do you mean by "factory unlocked"?
Second, you need to use the microSIM removal tool, open the microSIM slot and put the new one in. Your kit from Straight Talk will give you more information.

Transfer HI8 to One Touch DVD, Need suggestions!

Hey everyone, I have a Hi8 Sony Cam that I have prob 60 tapes of home movies for (Yes I know my dad filmed everything)! I want to first tell you my ultimate goal is to transfer all of these tapes onto DVD's over the course of the next year or so. I want un compressed video and audio, I would like it to be in the same quality that it is on tape just straight across onto DVD. I would like to fit 60 or 120 min on a single DVD-R which I know a single layer can hold. All these movies have been recorded on HI8 or Digital 8 tape, all are 60 min long, and recorded in SP mode.
Anyway, I wanted to ask some opinions here, I just transfered the first tape, capture if you will into iMovie. It is 12G big, and is taking forever to convert as I am exporting it in hopes to burn it to a DVD. Isnt there an easier way? I found the One touch iDVD, and it says you plug your camcorder in, launch that and it transfers it directley to a DVD, that sounds right! But, what if I wanted to add some more footage after that, Does it finalise the DVD after its done burning? I have some family trips that are several tapes long 200 hours+ on some of them. I would love to fit 2 HI8 tapes totaling 120 min on one DVD R but if it finalizes the DVD when its done thats not going to work for me..
Does this make scene? I hope so.. I don't have any intentions of editing the video, I just want to transfer straight across to DVD. If someone could help me out that would be awesome!! Thanks guys!

As stated earlier I don't work with imovie but here are a couple of pages from the imovie 'help' menu:
"Saving your movie as a QuickTime movie"
When you save your movie in QuickTime format, you can play it on computers or publish it on a webpage, a CD, or your iDisk. When you export your movie to QuickTime, you can choose one of these settings:
Email: Best for sending over email.
Web: Best for playing on the web.
Web Streaming: Best for posting on a QuickTime streaming web server.
CD-ROM: Best for playback from CD-ROM drives.
Full Quality: Creates a movie with original quality, preserving the most data possible. Use for movies you want to import into other applications, such as iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, or Final Cut Pro, for further editing.
Expert Settings: Use when you want to customize your export or use other formats and codecs.
Important: The viewer needs QuickTime 7 or later to watch your QuickTime movie.
To save your movie as a QuickTime movie:
Choose Share > QuickTime.
Choose a movie format from the pop-up menu.
Click the "Share selected clips only" checkbox if you only want to share clips you selected.
Click Share.
Name your movie, select a location for the file, and click Save.
The time it takes to save the movie depends on the movie's length and the format you choose".
You want to save it as full quality movie for your purposes but by exporting via QT, you can take that version and later on send it out to web etc. by resetting the parameters but this way you have saved it in the best quality setting.
The Archival Grade is the best you can get . . not sure of the price but in not prohibitive, that's what I would use for your projects. But if too expensive, even the one grade down in the Taiyo would be fine. If you want to imprint the DVD itself, you need to buy the white im-printable version. I use an inexpensive Epson printer that prints the discs fine (don't use paper labels). I use a very simple program called Disclabel.

Straight Talk iPhone 5 4G LTE Not Available?

Hello Apple community, so I bought an iPhone 5 factory unlock awhile back and got the Unlimted plan from Straight Talk. The plan is great but something I noticed was that my 4G LTE service would disappear when I one time accidently clicked the "Update Carrier Settings" in iTunes and all of a sudden my 4G LTE became 3G. The strange thing is that in iOS 7.0.X I was able to reset my phone via iTunes and everything would be fine, but every time I opened iTunes with the phone plugged, I get prompted to update. This method of denying the update worked for awhile until iOS 7.1.X were released.
I called the Customer Service on Straight Talk and they confirmed that my service was still capable of running 4G but my phone only uses 3G speeds.

I too bought a new iPhone 5s today and has the same issue. It doesn't get to 4G LTE. I tried calling Straight Talk customer service and they did many setting but no luck. Has anone got it fixed?

E71 One Touch Keys

Just got this phone for little more than 24 hours. The one-touch keys were working fine when I started. Now all, except the home key, doesn't work any more. Sounds like a E61i bug that I recalled some users were having.
Anyone having similar problems and what's the solution?

I think I found the workaround.
I set the long press of my email one-touch key to create new emails. After I pressed this key to create emails, it causes all the other one-touch to not respond at all. The only way to get the other keys to respond is to remove battery and SIM card then insert again.
I have 2 email accounts on my E71, maybe that's why the "create email" command didn't work.
So I changed that long press to activate web surfing. It has been working like a charm since then.

Straight talk MMS will not work on iPhone 5 purchased from Apple

Just purchased an iPhone 5 from Apple and activated on Straight Talk. Used the BYOD ( bring your own device ) option and purchased a SIM from ST. Everything works fine except my MMS. I even went and purchased a nano SIM from Tmobile. I have tried every suggestion found on the nets but none seem to work. I have tried all the APN settings mentioned. Without the APN settings I do not have the option to even select the camera icon while in messages. After Imanually enter the APN settings I then have the option to select the camera icon to choose existing or camera to send MMS. Everytime I try to send one it fails. It seems the only reason I needed the Tmobile SIM was to open cellular data. Cellular data was already an option without the Tmobile SIM. Nothing ever loads in the APN with Tmobile SIM or ST SIM. Called ST and got no help because was told since I brought my own device there was nothing they could do and to contact Apple. I know Apple would not be able to do anything for this, because it is not a phone issue but a cellular issue.

I got exchange mail working. It seems issue is around "Push". I enabled "push", account verified & all worked well. After that I disabled push (I do not want it & to save mobile data use).
By googling, I found many have got it up & apple may fix it in it next iOS udpate.

How can I use a bad IMEI AT&T iphone 5 with straight talk ?

Someone sold me a bad IMEI AT&T iphone 5. I had an AT&T iphone 4 with straight talk prior to buying this phone. I didn't know the IMEI was bad so I bought the iphone 5 hoping to switch. I cut my SIM card and put it into the iphone 5. Everything worked perfectly fine so I went ahead and gave the dude the money. I went to sleep and wake up the next day and try to make a call and I get a message saying my phone has been blocked from the network. I contacted straight talk and they thought it was a problem of theirs so somehow they got my phone to work again. Everything was good , calls, texts , and data. 2 hours later, the same problem happens. So I call straight talk again , tell them the problem. They fix It again, 2 hours later , THE SAME PROBLEM. I gave up this time and began looking for answers. Is there any way I can use this iphone 5 with straight talk ? There was a comment I saw through my search for answers where if I get another straight talk sim everything would work again. Is this true? How can I use a bad IMEI AT&T iphone 5 with straight talk ?

If that IMEI has been blacklisted by AT&T, then it is blacklisted by all USA carriers, as well as several participating Canadian and Mexican carriers.
As of 31 October 2012, USA Cellular Providers are sharing a common IMEI/ESN database to ensure that phones blacklisted on one carrier can't be activated on another carrier. AT&T and T-Mobile are also participating members of the GSM-networks global shared blacklists.

Excel 2013 BeforeRightClick Event fails on Windows 8.1 Tablet (it's an Excel 2013 tablet touch screen interface bug)

I have developed customized table context menus in an Excel 2013 workbook on my Laptop. They work just fine on my laptop and my work desktop. But when I try to run them on my tablet PC the Worksheet_BeforeRightClick event in Excel 2013 never fires. Other
worksheet events appear to work okay. I have fully reinstalled Office 2013 Pro and that does not make any difference.
I have read other comments regarding this same problem going back to 2013, but have never seen Microsoft respond to this issue. Nor have I been able to find a resolution. Has anyone else run into this and found a solution?
Additional Discoveries: Testing on my tablet shows that adding one custom CommandBarButton to either the top or the bottom of the default "List Range Popup" context menu causes the Worksheet_BeforeRightClick event to fail. The basic context
menu commands still show up, but the default dropdown button for additional context menu commands disappears. The event is perhaps firing, but any customized code for the context menu is not being handled properly by Excel. This does appear to be a bug and
not a question of coding error. Perhaps someone else with a tablet PC running WIndows 8.1 could test this.

here this bug was introduced in Excel 2013 because others find the problem does not exist when using Excel 2010 on a tablet PC. Note that all the commenters on the linked thread that are experiencing this problem are using tablet PCs.
Update 3-13-15: I stand corrected. The Worksheet_BeforeRightClick does work on Excel 2013 Windows 8.1 tablets. I happen to own an Asus VivoTab Note 8, which comes with a Wacom stylus. If I use the Wacom sylus to right click on an Excel 2013 worksheet cell,
the Worksheet_BeforeRightClick event fires and modified context menu code runs just fine. But the code will not run if one uses their finger to right click a worksheet cell. This explains why this problem only shows up on tablet PCs. So the "bug"
introduced in Excel 2013 is a general user touch screen interface bug and not an Excel events programming bug.
Update 3-21-15: Switched to a Toshiba Protege laptop with touch screen. Same issue with finger touch screen interface on the Toshiba touch screen as with the Asus VivoTab touch screen.

As a workaround you can add a custom control to the context

Number one - that person has given you false information...the Apple store genius bar supports all Apple products whether in or out of warranty. Checking is free, service on an out of warranty item is not free.
Try a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignore the red slider if that appears.
Since you show that you have iOS 7.0.3 you might want to update that iOS to 7.0.4...plug the iPhone in so you are on a solid power source, then while on a WiFi go to Settings > General > Software Update and update to 7.0.4.

They're asking a question about carrier settings for their iPhone. I think that has everything to do with Apple.
Maybe they did already ask Straight Talk. I've called Straight Talk before... they're not too helpful.
You know, this forum would be much friendlier if people in this forum would quit squabbling, & posting comedic replies, not too mention name calling (like I did), when people are just needing some help.

To clarify for anyone who is still having any problems doing this.
1. Unlock your phone with the carrier ( I know the process will work if it is jail broken but I am assuming you dont want to void the warranty on your phone) NOTE: even if you purchased the phone outright at Wal-Mart it is still locked to ATT so you will have to unlock the phone. If it's already unlocked skip to step 2. This works and will work even if you update the phone.

2. Get a T- mobile SIM. Even if you don't want the service, if you feign interest, they will send you one for free or 99cents. If you need it now you can get one at a T-mobile store too.

Maxtor One Touch II Won't Mount

I'm running 10.6.8 and my maxtor one touch II won't mount all of a sudden? I've tried fire wire 400 and fire 400to800, restarting etc. The drive won't show up?
The driver update on the Maxtor/Seagate site opens up as code in a text edit file, it doesn't show up as the typical box to be unstuffed. Either way, it's an old update and I've been using this external drive for years. It's definitely spinning, but the computer just can't find it.

Can Disk Utility see it? If so try repairing the drive.
As it turns out I finally got the drive to mount, after several attempts. It was simply a matter of there being less than a gig free on the maxtor so it was having trouble booting up.

How can i get my iphone on straight talk to send and receive mms?

I have an iPhone 4 on straight talks network. I have never been able to send or receive mms messages to anyone other than a device with iMessage. How can I get it to work? I dont want to change to a Galaxy or any other kind of phone, but I will if this doesnt get figured out. Straight talk says its an issue with Apple products. Please help!!

First, I would go through these three steps:
Restart your device.
Update to the latest iOS Software.
If you are trying to send a message to multiple recipients and you type in each contact manually instead of using the contacts list, make sure you tap return instead of space to separate each one.
Then, if you still can't send or receive MMS messages:
To send and receive MMS messages on your iPhone, verify that your wireless carrier supports MMS2.
Ensure that MMS Messaging is turned on in Settings > Messages.
Verify that your phone is able to access cellular data.
Some carriers allow you to edit your APN (Access Point Name), which may prevent MMS from working.
If you are roaming outside your calling area, make sure you have Data Roaming turned on in Settings > General > Cellular to send or receive MMS content.
While on a phone call, you will be unable to send or receive MMS messages when using an EDGE, GPRS, or any CDMA cellular data network. After the phone call ends, you will receive any incoming messages. If you tried to send an MMS message, you may need to send it again.
If the issue persists and your wireless carrier has confirmed that your wireless account is provisioned2 for MMS, restore the iPhone.
