exchange 2007 SP3
windows 2008 r2
we have one user who unable to login to owa with error -"The user name or password that you entered is not valid. Try entering it again."
we checked mailbox feature in EMC and owa is enable
checked adsiedit - looks good
we checked allow inheritance - checked
we reset the password and try to login to owa from exchange server , no luck
user can login to her computer and outlook without any issue
we also moved her mailbox to another server
user facing the same issue from office and VPN
any suggestion ?

when user unable to access webmail with error "The user name or password that you entered is not valid"
will it generate any event id on exchange server or domain controller ?
in our case we have mailbox and CAS on different servers
any suggestion .

I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
1. Open IIS Manager, click Default Web Site -> Authentication, make sure that Anonymous Authentication and Windows Authentication are enabled.
2. Click Default Web Site -> SSL Settings, check "Require SSL" and click Ignore.
3. Click Default Web Site -> HTTP Redirect, check Redirect (enter your
https://URL), check "Only redirect" box and Status code Found 302.
4. Expand Server Configuration -> Client Access ->double click owa ->Authentication tab. Check the Basic Authentication and check the Use forms-based authentication button Logon Format: Domain\user name.

Weblogic User Unable to Login to BIP

Hello Guru's,
I came into a shop shortly after that had installed and configured both OBIEE & BIP. Our version is 11.1.1.6.2.
We can log into either OBIEE or BIP successfully with out own usernames, all of which have administrator rights. However, with the "weblogic" username, we can only log into OBIEE and not BIP. If we try to access BIP content from the OBIEE catalog it prompts for a login, and will not accept weblogic.
HAs anyone run into this before an/or does anyone know what might be happening? I'm relatively new at the security side of things, so even if you can point me in the right direction of where to start troubleshooting that would be greatly appreciated.

Access RemoteApp error: The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in

I have couple of users in MYAPPS group that is a part of Collection.
Only me (domain admin) and other domain member user can access the app from RDWEB.
When an other domain admin and an another domain user try to access the app (from different machines) they get:
"Access RemoteApp error: The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in"
RDS is Server 2012 R2 clients W7, W8.
I found all kind of troubleshooting for Vista and W7 non RDS scenario.
What it could be? A bit confusing... one admin Yes another no. The same for regular domain member

Checked Event. There were errors indicating that default profile files cannot be copied to user_name profile.
One of them:
Windows cannot copy file

DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
After doing more research I found a suggestion that actually fixed the problem instantly:

I did check KB2919355. It looks like pretty important...
All future security and nonsecurity updates for W8.1 and 2012 R2 require this update to be installed...
So how to deal with this thing?
May be somebody from Microsoft will see this post and can suggest other workaround instead of removing the important patch.

Getting error The user could not be registered at this time due to an internal error in R11

We created new Organization (that had alpha numeric value e.g. 7777A) using Customer Online to be used in iStore i11 version.
The user account and password was also created for the organization. When we tried to login to istore the first time the registration screen (jtftmplh.jsp) was displayed. After filling the needed information and submitting we get the error:
"The user could not be registered at this time due to an internal error Please contact the system administrator if this problem persists.
Note to System Administrators: View source for more information about this error."
But if we created new Organization with numbers only e.g. 7777 we don't have the issue. Yet we already have large number of organization with alpha numeric and they work fine. (believe they were pragmatically loaded).
The profiles "HZ: Generate Party Number" and "HZ: Generate Party Site Number" are set to Yes.

I think you misunderstood the solution proposed by frederic, what he is suggesting is that the error doesn't come from your code but from the user account
have you tried with another account ? (maybe the one you are using to log to your environment)
With this information, it will help us to know if the problem comes from your code or from the user account

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

While running eBusiness HRMS Terminated Reconciliation, OIM picks the Users End Date and if that End Date is passed, the user is Disabled. I think the connector should behave this way. Pls correct me if I am wrong.
But, what's happening is, when I run the eBusiness HRMS Terminated Reconciliation, I am getting the below error and in the recon manager I can see the End Date as earlier date but the user is still Active. It is not changing to Disabled.

Error in RFC: Name of password is incorrect

Hi All,
I am using GRC AC 10.1 with SP06 and came across with one issue and so need your help to rectify it.
I have created one cross system groups for all deveopement clients (SAP_DEV_CG) and put all the D-clients for all the landscapes.
While running the risk violations reports on user level, i get to see the violations along with an error: "Risk analysis finished with error. Check log for details". SLG1 reports indicates that there is some issue with the RFC: Name or password is incorrect.
The error is quite clear and self explanatory that there is some issue with the RFC; but my concern is that, as I have put multiple development clients to this group so how would i know for sure that SLG1 indicates the RFC (password/name) issue to exactly what system. It will not be feasible to go and see all the systems one-by-one. I checked the logs in detail, navigated through all the technical information but not really able to see the particular system name where the real issue is there.

SM21 results are as below, But I don't see any hints on the connector which is causing the error with RFC:
Exeuting the jobs for each connectors or checking for each connectors one-by-one to investigate with the RFC issue is one option as I had already mentioend in my original post, but that would take quality time to come to one conclusion.
Do we have any way out here to get this sorted out for the connector causing the error.

I have a problem when transfer file to IBM AS400 system. This is the scenarie:
1) PI take the file
2) I have a JavaMapping(change the filename to long 8 with 3)
3) I use "create a temporary file"
4) The file is create in target, but this have the name "XI_FTP_2.TMP"
5) Finally, the receiver comunication channel launch the error : "Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: An error occurred while connecting to the FTP...(the number of FTP server is erased for publicated here) 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unable to do a lookup on the file name specified.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor"
I check the permissions of user, directories and file.
In the log of communication channel the error say :(the number of FTP server is erased for publicated here)

Time Machine Backup error - The backup disk image "/Volumes/Data/Extreme.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error -1).

I am getting a Time Machine backup error "The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Extreme.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error -1)."
Then a Finder window pops up with the backup directory in it. When I open it I see all the backups that were completed successfully and then the one there is simply always shows the data and .inProgress. I thought that maybe if I could delete the one that is perpetually in progress it would start a new one and run fine, but I won't let me delete it.

It's in your Keychain on the computer you usually use to connect to your network - the "kind" will be "AirPort Network Password".
Your Keychain can be opened by using the Keychain Access program. It is in your Utilities Folder.
Open Keychain Access, and type airport in the search field. You will see a number of entries. Choose the one with the name of your wireless network, open it, and check the box next to "show password". Before it reveals itself you will be asked for your login password - the one you use to log in to your MacBook.
The network password will appear in the box.
Quit Keychain Access.

My old PC crashed and died, and I am unable to deactivate the licence of Photoshop Elements 7.
I re-installed Photoshop Elements 7 via a trial download from Adobe website onto my new PC, Windows 8.1 single language.
My serial number is not accepted.

Photoshop Elements 7 also does not support activation so there is no risk that you were unable to deactivate the software on your previous computer.
I am showing the serial number under your account was provided from an equipment manufacturer. It is possible there may have been a customized installer for that version. Have you contacted the computer manufacturer to obtain the installation files for the copy of Photoshop Elements 7 included with your computer?
Since you did not migrate/transfer over any files it is unlikely there is a software issue preventing the installation. You can try running the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure that no corrupt licensing files may be preventing the installation process.
