One way to use Gmail contact via EAS airsync.

As the Gmail provide Exchange service, we can use EAS airsync on iPhone.
1,If you contact is in you SIM card, you should import you contacts inti iPhone then use iTunes to transfer your contacts into Gmail contact. We can register a new gmail account for empty contact.
2,edit your contact in new gmail contacts.
3,export the contacts as a file, and import it into your using gmail contact. Note: the iPhone only sync "my contact group" in gmail. we can set other contact we do not want to sync in other group.
4, add exchange account in iPhone, server:m.google.com Accont:[email protected]
5,when you open contact sync, select "delete your phone contact".
6,you can also open clendars sync as well.
7,check your contact on iPhone, you will found "google cotacts" in group, this is same as gmail contacts "my contacts" group. and you can search all gmail contact in Global address list.
Have fun with it.

If the support isn't there, you can't add it yourself.
However, you could try the Gmail Java app to read email:

  • Synch Gmail Contacts via and Lotus Notes Contacts on BES

I currently use Wireless Synch to synchronize my Lotus Notes Contacts to my Blackberry Bold 9900 via a BES.
In addition to the LN account, I also have a Gmail account active on my Blackberry; however, the Contact Synch and the Calendar Synch features are both turned off (for the Gmail account) at present.
I would like to synch the Gmail Contacts and Calendar to my BB, but I am unsure whether this would impact my Lotus notes Contacts Address Book or my Lotus Notes Calendar. I have already had one incident where my Gmail contacts were intermingled with my Lotus Notes contacts and I want to keep them separate.
Can someone please explain what behaviour I should expect if I enable synch for the Gmail Contacts and Address book? Will this create separate, new address book and calendar (i.e. separate from the Desktop ones used with Lotus Notes) or will it merge the Gmail contacts and calendar with Lotus Notes contacts and calendar?
Also, please explain the differences between the Contacts synch and Calendar synch in the built in BB Gmail application and Google Synch App. Why would one use the later?
Note: In case this is relevant - I also have a Playbook with O/S 2.0 that is configured to access the Gmail account in fully synchronized mode. At present, the LN account is only accessed via BB Bridge on the Playbook.
    Thanks!

The exact error message on the mobile, after sync, is:
"Data transfer not possible. Check data connection"

  • How to one-way push automatically from Contacts to Google Contacts

I use Yosemite's Contacts. I need to push these contacts into Google's Contacts so that they can in turn populate another 'cloud' SaaS application. How do I make that happen? I don't want to sync because there's a lot of excess in Google Contacts that I don't want to deal with in Contacts.

    Hi Steven,
To set up the syncing of your Mac's Contacts application with Google Contacts, use the steps in this article -

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Any way way to use Migrations Assist via USB?

Trying to suck stuff from drive from a dead PowerBook (drive's fine) to new MacBook, and of course
only option is Target Disc Mode by FireWire.
And only way I have of connecting the old drive is by USB. Bet not.
Guess I'll just create a partition from unused space on the HD, clone the old HD over and Migrate from there.
    Never mind...

    That's the ticket.

  • Import Export of contacts via ASCII CSV file

Hi all. I have a 9300 Curve. This is my phone. I had a workphone which was a 9900 Bold. I backed up the Bold when i left the job. I want to import the contacts from the Bold back up into the Curve. If i export the Curve contacts to a csv file. Then import the bold contacts from restoring just the contacts list.... so far ok, bold contacts in, curve contacts overwritten but they are in a file as csv. I then try to one way sync the curve contacts back in.....the csv file has removed all the zeros from the start of every number. If you "edit" the csv in notepad they are there but when you look via excel...they are not. If i sync back in....the zero's are gone. I do not want to sync with windows live or anything like that as it will import a whole heap of **bleep** i dont want as well.
    Any clues?
    Thanks

  • Using Gmail Aliases with iOS 8 Mail App

I'm wondering if there is any way to use gmail aliases with the default mail app. I've already tried the methods listed on these two sites:
    http://www.nathanpjones.com/wp/2014/01/using-gmail-aliases-in-ios-7/
    http://tbb.co/sending-from-a-gmail-alias-on-ios-8/
I can already send from a few different aliases with the default mail app on Mac. I have two step authentication setup on on my gmail account so I've these methods with both my normal password and app specific passwords generated by Google. Is there something that I'm missing?

Seems to work properly for me. Are we looking at the same place? to instruct it to Delete instead of Archive:
In Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (select account) > Account (select your e-mail address) > Advanced.
Mailbox Behavior for Deleted Mailbox: Trash.
        then
Move Discarded Messages Into: Deleted Mailbox.
It wasn't this way by default.  Move Discarded was Archive, and it gave the results you described.  Changing that to Deleted works for me.
I set the Swipe left-to-right to Archive.  So now one swipe will Archive, the other will Delete.
oooh... p.s.... this seems to work as well:

  • How to use gmail with JavaMail

JavaMail 1.4 is capable of sending and reading messages using gmail.
All that's required is to properly configure JavaMail. I'll
illustrate the proper configuration using the demo programs that
    come with JavaMail - msgshow.java and smtpsend.java.
Let's assume your gmail username is "[email protected]" and your
    password is "passwd".
To read mail from your gmail Inbox, invoke msgshow as follows:
java msgshow -D -T pop3s -H pop.gmail.com -U user -P passwdBy reading the msgshow.java source code, you can see how these
command line arguments are used in the JavaMail API. You should
first try using msgshow as shown above, and once that's working
move on to writing and configuring your own program to use gmail.
To send a message through gmail, invoke smtpsend as follows:
    java -Dmail.smtp.port=587 -Dmail.smtp.starttls.enable=true smtpsend
-d -M smtp.gmail.com -U user -P passwd -A [email protected](Note that I split the command over two lines for display, but you
should type it on one line.)
The smtpsend command will prompt for a subject and message body text.
End the message body with ^D on UNIX or ^Z on Windows.
Gmail requires the use of the STARTTLS command, and requires a
non-standard port, which the smtpsend program doesn't have command
line options to select so we set them as System properties on the
java command. The smtpsend.java program uses the System properties
when creating the JavaMail Session, so the properties set on the
command line will be available to the JavaMail Session.
Again, you can read the smtpsend.java source code to see how the
command line arguments are used in the JavaMail API. There is,
of course, more than one way to use the JavaMail API to accomplish
the same goal. This should help you understand the essential
configuration parameters necessary to use gmail.
And no, I won't send you an invitation to gmail. Sorry.

  • 2-way sync with Gmail

I am trying to establish 2-way sync between my Gmail account and iCal and Mac Address Book on my computer. One way synch from Gmail to the Mac works fine, but changes made in iCal or Mac address book do not sync to Gmail. I set up the sync on the Mac in iCal and Address Book using Preferences/sync with Google. Many thanks.

    Hi gjrc,
The address lookup feature is only available when using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. If your company has switched to GMail for their mail service, they would not be using BlackBerry Enterprise Server anymore.

  • Any Update on one-way sync with Nokia Suite?

    Hi,
I've found several threats discussing on one-way sync capabilities.
I recently upgraded Outlook to 2010, PCSuite seems not to work with Outlook 2010. Therefore I moved to Nokia Suite. As I just lost 823 contacts, I'm really disapointed about this product.
In my case one-way sync to my divice would perfectly work, as I'm just using it with SIM access mode in my handsfree... no updates will ever be done in this phone!
I just updated my firmware (without backing up my phone before) and thought, I can (like in PCSuite) just do a one-way sync of my contacts... big mistake. As I've sync'ed my contacts before with Nokia Suite, the sync machanism though, I've deleted all my contacts in my phone (what actually the firmware update did) and deleted my contacts in Outlook as well...
Lucky my second device still has all relevant contacts. But I don't know how to bring these contacts back to my first, flashed device...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure, but this sounds like a question better posted in the MobileMe forums.

  • Import GMail Contacts? How to?

I'm a new Mac user and would like to sync my many GMail  contacts with Apple Mail. The aim is to be able to start typoing a contact in Apple Mail and autofill the rest of the e-mail address that I have had in Gmail.
Right now that isn't happening. I looked around in Preferences and noticed my 2 Gmail accounts are ther but Enable this account is not checked. I AM getting all my Gmails downloaded so I don't want to fix something which isn't broken. What does checking that box accomplish?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mark

In Internet Accounts System Prferences, Gmail, select the Contacts box. Your gmail contacts will now be part of Contacts along with your iCloud and/or ON MY MAC contacts.
I don't use Gmail contacts, but I don't see why that wouldn't work.

  • Can I use gmail instead of yahoo in combination with Adobe Reader

Adobe Reader has the ability to attach a pdf to an email. It is defaulting to Yahoo mail. I have changed the default email in firefox to gmail, but that does not seem to impact anything. I have also tried to change the email client within Adobe Reader, but couldn't do it.
Is there a way to use gmail as the email client?

I realize it, but is sending me now to yahoo.com. Why can I not sent it to gmail instead of yahoo.
Also, if I were to use outlook how would I set that up? I cannot find a place anywhere to make changes to the email client Adobe Reader is using.

    b)     If not please provide me the references for achieving ldap authentication from Oracle database server with OID 11g as ldap user repository.
    c)     As per task1 > step3 For the first time oidctl command is used to connect & start the instance before starting services using opmnctl. What is the procedure to do the same in OID11g?
    2.     Wallet certificates in my environment OID & Database server status shows “Ready”

Is it possible to get an answer on this one from someone who knows?

In WLS 6.0 I was able to configue the server SSL protocol so that when
accessing the server (web application) from a web browser over https, the
browser showed a list of matching installed client certificates that the
client can choose, but the client could choose not to present his/hers
certificate and still continue to access the requested resources.
In WLS 6.1 I have not been able to repeat this behaviour, even if the SSL
    configuration is exactly the same.
The project I work in wants to have both one-way SSL (using only username
and password for authentication) and two-way SSL (using both
username/password and certificate for authentication) in the same server.
Is it possible to configure the server the way I want or do we have to
configue two servers; one that does not require mutual authentication, and
    one that requires this?

You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device.
