One website I visit regularly opens in a strange format, but OK in Windowa Explorer

The home page of one website appears in a text type format, whereas it should appear with text and image. Prior to 2-3 months ago it appeared correctly, then changed. It only happens to one website.
The website is one I visit regularly and once I get past the homepage it is OK.
The website opens correctly in Windows Explorer, but I do not wish to use that browser.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".

One of the folders of Robo Help Project Manager is listed twice in Windows Explorer. One has all the subfolders and topics of it and the other has all the subfolders but not the topics. How did I get into this kind of situation? Why do I have two folders? Can somebody please answer on this?
Since my RH project is attached to Visual Source Safe (VSS), the same structure is mirroring in VSS.

After reviewing the image I see that what you might think are two of the same folder are two different folders similar in name.
One is named Advanced_Functionality. The other is named Advanced_Funtionality (note the missing C).
I'm assuming this is the folder you are referring to?

That is because whoever programmed the web site used Internet Explorer extentions. These will only run in Internet Explorer. So, use a computer with Windows to use that web site.

Why has Safari started to strikethrough links on websites I visit regularly?

I have a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5 and Safari 6.1.6 I have started to notice that on some websites the links are being displayed as strikethrough text. It doesn't do it on every site I visit but it is consistent on news sites I visit regularly? It is also doing it on my own websites too. Is it a Mac issue or Safari issue and how do I fix it? I did recently install SEOQuake but I can't imagine that is causing it. I've search the web for an answer but people are trying to use strikethrough in specific text documents. This is happening on websites that I am viewing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

     Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
     Turn those on one by one and test.

Photoshop CS5.5 - Unable to select Open With...Photoshop or Illustrator in Windows Explorer

When I am in Windows Explorer or just in a Folder and I Right-Click on say a .jpg file and select Open With... I am not able to select Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for that matter. I have Dreamweaver CS4 and that shows up as an option. I have gone through the process of trying to add the Adobe Photoshop .exe file, but it still doesn't work. However, if I open Adobe Bridge, I am able to select Photoshop or Illustrator to open a file. Is this connected to my install or is there something else going on? I did uninstall an ancient version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 that I've had for years, but that was prior to installing Production Premium CS5. Could that have caused an issue? I read that uninstalling an old Photoshop can cause problems like this.
If that is the case, how do I fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Production premium CS5 with windows7 64 bit system. On right clicking the file in explorer,I am able to choose my default programme in which the file is to be opened and it is opening accordingly.
I have Cs4 photoshop in another system with XP professional and here also the above option is available.I wonder how u will not have that feature or how it will not work inspite of having it.___Bosu Babu

I just recently upgraded my iPad and since then certain websites will no longer open up on the iPad but i can still access them on my mac pro laptop. WHY????? One of these websites is a work related website that i really need.

I can open some websites on my ipad but not all. The websites that are no longer opening were all working up till 3 days ago when I did the update on the ipad. The websites that I can't open on the ipad i can switch to my macbook pro and open no problem. I have tried to check all settings and just can't figure out what is going on. One of the websites I can no longer open is ikea and also a work related website. I can load the opening page but when I try to sign in it won't do anything including not even an error message. Please help..

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

One website (Dailykos) will not open

www.dailykos.com will not open in Safari. Have reset (including cookies), removed Safari .plist files, deleted the site from Top Sites, trashed all other files connected to this site in any way, etc. No avail.
Using Google have located a couple recent dailykos news stories. When I go to open them, I get a quick load of the site (less than a second) and then blank screen. All other websites are 100% normal.
Site works fine on my MacBookAir.
This one is a stumper. Anyone got the answer? Tks.

That site requires the Flash plugin. Just in case yours needs updating, you must uninstall your current copy of Flash, reinstall new, then this is very important. You must repair permissions after reinstalling Flash.
Go here and follow the instructions. Uninstall Flash
Install the most recent version of Flash here.
Now repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

After a crash all open tabs disappeared - but in the background one website with audio is open. I cannot close it, because it appears as if no tabs are open.

My browser froze & reopened with all tabs closed. I couldn't restore the tabs. Since then, when I open the browser, one tab I had with a video keeps playing - but I cannot see & therefore cannot close it.
I have tried restarting my laptop & I deleted all history/cookies/..., but nothing helped yet.
This is very annoy, please help!

When logging out of a website, a new tab opens to the closed page but the original tab is still open. How do I close first tab?

When I open a site, such as a Credit card website, after I logon, but when I try to logout. When I hit the logout button, a new tab opens and this page is now the logged out page of the website, but the original tab is still open and the page is still logged on. I have tried every possible combination of changes in the Tab Mix Plus but cannot get the right ones to fix this problem.

In safe mode everything works.
Without Zotero - everything works.
When the popup is loaded with Zotero, the tab shows a constant "Loading" with the circular in process icon.
The Zotero icon shows to the left of the tab.
If I right click on Zotero and close it, the close() js works properly
Is there a way to do a window.open() with:
A. no tabs -or-
B. block all add on's -or-
C. to kill an add on
before doing the close()?

Forcing link in one web based PDF to open link to another PDF in new browser window

We have created a form using LiveCycle Designer ES2. The form is found on our website and is used by faculty to submit proposal information to our office. Depending upon the answers to questions in the form if they say yes we had a link to another form that we would like them to complete and submit with the original PDF that they are working on. The problem that we are having is that when they click on the form it opens the new PDF and all the data that they had entered in the original PDF is gone once the new form opens up. Is there a way to force the new PDF via the use of some scripting that can go along with the link, or via the use of a button that can force the new form to open in a new browser window? It is impractical for us to expect 1500 faculty members to change their browser settings to open new PDF's in a new window. We have removed the links for now and have just put in text that says if they select yes they need to go out and complete the additional form.

The first three questions on page two where we reference the other forms is where we would like to be able to add the links to the new forms and have them open in a new browser window. When the form is downloaded and opened in Adobe Acrobat/Reader the links functioned correctly, it just did not function properly when it opens in a browser.

I used a button, removed the border/fill properties and underlined the caption to look like a URL.

One website is compressed vertically so I see the site but cannot rad it.

When I go to this website: http://www.500eboard.com/, the site appears and apparently connects. Problem is that the page is all sqeezed together vertically such that it cannot be read. I can make out buttons for selections and they work, but each page that comes up is in miniature. These teeny tiny pages are impossible to use. No other website has this problem. The eboard was chosen from my bookmarks; other bookmarks work correctly. Never had this problem. I cannot contact site because I cannot read contact info.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

I downloaded firefox,i cant get it to open, yet when i tried to delete it, windows explorer says firefox is running, even though i have no internet on

i was at a hotel using wireless, but suddenly my computer shut down, saying something about a blue screen, when i turned it back on, it wouldnt fully load the games i play on facebook, so i tried a lot of things, then i downloaded mozzilla, nothing happens when i click on it so i tried to delete it but my computer says its running and i have to close it first, but i cant cos i cant get it to open!!!!!!!

which infers the problem exists and seems to confirm the only way is to restart the machine.
Not being computer literate I cannot tell whether or not you can get around the 'lock/unlock' problem! What I need is an easy 'fix' but there does not appear to be one!!

For some reason none of the website I go to will display properly in Firefox but they will in Explorer and I have no idea what happened.

I am stumped and don't know what to do. None of my web pages will display any content only the bare bones of the webpage...or if I can get it to display content it's seems all garbled up. Help!

I don't know what will help at this point. You should never update a system that has problems, unless you're absolutely sure that the problems are caused by a bug that is fixed in the update. With your backups in an uncertain state, you should not update or do anything else except start a new backup.
