One wifi spot my iPhone connects to wifi but not internet. All other devices connect to internet.

My iPhone connects to wifi just fine. When it does it connects to the internet just fine except in one location. My house. My MacBook Pro, my wife's iPhone and her iPad get on the internet there just fine. My Iphone's IP address it begins with a 10. At my house it occasionally will connect to the internet through wifi but I leave wifi off there because it is so intermitent.
Any suggestions?
I have not seen this problem addressed.

Can you ping a website using either Network Utility or Terminal?

  • My ipad2 has lost wifi connectivity at adistance while all other devices connect to new wifi.

After getting new wifi network, my ipad2 loses connectivity unless it is right beside the router. All other devices have good wireless connectivity.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

IiMac won't connect to the wifi anymore. All other devices still work with wifi any suggestions?

    Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number.  Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem.  unplug it for about 10 seconds.  Plug it back in.  Do the same for Apple’s routers.  Wait for everything to reboot.
    System Preferences>Network
    Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.
Research Knowledge Base for network problems that pertain to the OS that is currently installed on your computer.   See these basic networking KB Articles:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1401 AirPort troubleshooting guide

What other devices connect?  If not an iPhone, iPad or another iPot Touch then try here:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Otherwise, I wouldplace the iPod in recovery mode and then try to restore the iPod.  However, this will erase the iPod and make it unusable unless you can restore the iPod.  For recovery mode see:

  • I phone 5 will not connect to wi-Fi unless very close to router. It has I. The past. All other devices connect effortlessly

Hello.  My I phone 5 will no longer connect to my home wi-Fi unless very close to the router. No problems in the past. All other devices find & select wi Fi no problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

What you described sounds like a part of the iPod antenna system which looks like a gold ribbon.  I don't recommend that you try to effect any repairs yourself.  You would be best off taking it to Apple where you may be able to exchange it for an alike model. The price is 99USD for all 4th gen models, except the 64gb which will cost 199USD.

  • WiFi won't connect on iPhone but does on all other devices

So my wifi was working fine and 2 days ago it started to just not connect to my phone anymore.
It works on all my other devices but my iPhone.
I tried to reset my network settings, forgot the network and typed in the password again, nothing works.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

    Welcome to Apple Support Discussions,
Very helpful article on this : http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/97720

  • My iPod Touch 4G facetime with my specific iPhone 4 only works when I restore from an Apple Store...my PC (XP) iTune Restore will not let my iPod facetime (10 seconds connecting then hangs up)...all other device like my iPads can connect to my iPod...

So, I have an iPhone4 iOS 4.3.2 restored from Apple Store iTunes. I also have an iPod Touch 4G iOS 4.3.2. These two devices can facetime other Apple products, but not each other.
So when I discovered this, I restored both at the Apple Store iTunes and they worked for the first time!! The Genius Bar guys told me to just set my iPod as New Device to my PC then manual sync it. I deleted all my iPod backup from this one since they are all from fresh restore.
I did as directed. iPod does not want to connect facetime to my iPhone. I tried uninstall and reinstall my iTunes to the newest version. Still not working after a full restore. My PC is XP Service Pack 2 with Japanese setting. I wonder if my PC iTunes has to do with anything or my iTunes account...

    This is the iPhone forum
That said... PhotoStream is a stream of photos. The contents of the PhotoStream are not part of the backup. PhotoStream will hold the last 30 days of photos on-line. After 30 days, the photos are deleted from the servers. If they have already been downloaded from the cloud and appear on a device, they will remain there. However... if the device is wiped, restored, etc. or PhotoStream on the device is turned off then back on, ONLY the photos still resident in the cloud will download.
If the photos were over 30 days old, they are no longer in the cloud. If you didn't have them backed up elsewhere, they are gone.

  • TS1398 I am begun to experience problems with my wi-fi connection on my home router.  All other devices in the house work fine - but my iPhone 3GS seems to connect to the route OK, then loses the connection,  I have tried re-boot/network settings etc - no

As per my headline comment, the wi-fi connection (which before IO6) worked fine now problematic, and iPhone in serious danger of flying out of the window..is there an option to get previous IOS back on the phone?  I have tried the various "solutions" indicated in the chat forum but nothing helps..any ideas before I lose what little hair I have left?

If, as you suggest, you have iOS 6.0.2 installed in your 3GS, you shouldn't have. That OS is only for the iPhone 5 and Mini iPad.
Try rebooting the router. Any other devices working happily on it are irrelevent.

  • HT204409 unable to connect my ipad to my wireless internet - all other devices including another ipad, ipods, laptops etc.. connect fine?

Can't seem to connect one of my ipads to our wireless network at home - every other device in the house is connected?
    any suggestions?

Did it ever connect? How about to other networks?
    Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
    Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions).

  • SQLPLUS connects with sysdba but prompts for all others.

    Greetings,
If I launch sqlplus as sysdba {i.e.  sqlplus / as sysdba } It connects immediately.
If I attempt to launch using another user (i.e. sqlplus scott/tiger } I get an error message (ORA-01017 invalid username password)
After that it prompts me for a username and then a password and then it launches sqlplus. Now I'm connected.
How do I change this so that I connect with all other users as "sqlplus username/password" ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

Connecting with / as sysdba works only directly on the server.
If you connect as another user you usually need to add the database instance name or the service name from your tnsnames.ora file to the connect string.
sqlplus username/password@databaseYou can set the database instance on your machine (server or sometimes pc) so that it is added automagically. but this depends on your OS and other environment settings. You might want to check out the administration guide or the general forum for more detailed answers.

  • 5520 connected to network but not communicating with devices

I have a 5520 which worked fine for six months. Suddenly it's not working any more. I connect it wirelessly to our home network, it passes all the stages and prints off a test oage showing everything is fine. But when I try to print a page wirelessly from my Mac Mini the print manager just tells me that the printer is 'unconnected'.
Other devices (eg smartphones) can't find the printer at all, whether they are connected to the home network or using 4G, and I have downloaded HP's app just in case that helped.
I have tried returning the printer to factory settings but it doesn't make a difference.
Yesterday I noticed that the printer was showing up as a wi-fi network in its own right so I was able to connect to it from theMac Mini (but not from other devices) and print that way, although that was not great because I had to disconnect from the internet to do it. Today it's not showing in the wi-fi network list any more. Any thoughts woiuld be hugely appreciated!

    Hi @cadleigh,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that your HP Photosmart 5520, is not communicating on the wireless network to your other devices. I am happy to help you with this connection issue!
For further assistance, I will need to know the following:
The version of the Mac Operating System. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is able to make copies. Copy Text or Mixed Documents.
In the meantime, please take a look through this printer is offline guide. 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Does Not Print: Mac OS X.
Hope this helps, and hope to hear from you soon!
