One workflow to join docs and pdfs to one big pdf

Hi! I've been trying to do something that, until now, just hasn't worked.
I have a bunch of word docs in a folder and I want to convert them to pdf and join them together. I have no problem with that. But, can I use the same workflow to join pdfs together that were not word docs to begin with? An action to "ignore the conversion" if the file is already a pdf.
Furthermore, can I grab a bunch of docs and pdfs and join them in one giant pdf so that the docs will be converted and then the multiple pdfs joined with just one workflow?
If so, how?

I am having the same issue, I have tried repairing the installation and it did not work, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled and still no right click options. I have 3 computers with this issue and each of them when you right click will not show any of the acrobat options, but they do have a blank line (no text) that when clicked will open the combine window. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

hello there i was very happy untill this morning with my new bt infinity package which was installed last tuesday.i have only just realised with horror that i have taken delivery of the wrong tv box.we have chosen a humax youview box when we should have opted for a bt vision+ box so we could receive the extra 18 channels and sport.we ordered over the phone and i was told it was just a matter of paying a £10 fee to get espn and i didnt realise the extra channels i was paying an additional £12.50 for was the six packs add on which is completely different.anyway i rang up this morning and was told it would cost £199 to change boxes!!!!!!.is this correct??.if so ive got a year with a useless box with next to nothing i want to watch!!.what are my options please.
on the plus side i am delighted with the phone and broadband!!

stuart can you give me a bit more info about the schedule for the humax box being enabled?
It is scheduled for the summer but lime all schedules it could slip. It requires an update to the software
They are currently working on delivering this service to those who have the existing boxes ie the Black Vision Box. The two separate platforms will disappear in time with YouView being the future. Have you checked to see if your exchange is multicast enabled

The system is not setup to provide that kind of sservice. If making certain purchases it does ask for an answer to one of your security questions, so that provides a little more security for some purchases, just not all.

HT201250 Can I partition my external hard drive and use one partion for time machine and the other one for data that i may want to use in different computers?

I have this doubt. I've just bought an external drive, especifically a Seagate GoFlex Desk 3 tb.
I want to know if it is recomendable to make a partion exclusively for time machine and let another one so I can put there music, photos, videos, etc that I should need to use or copy to another computer.
May half and half, 1.5 tb for time machine and 1.5 tb for data.
I have an internal hard drive of 500 GB (499.25 GB) in my macbook pro.

As I said, yes. Be sure your Time Machine partition has at least 1 TB for backups.
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to two (2). Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.

Just bought a new iPod Nano. Still have a working older version of same. I'd like to synch the new one to my entire library and the old one with less memory to a subset of that library. How can I accomplish this?

Afterwards, your device should be displayed if connected:
We'll want to click on it, and choose the Music tab at the top. Let's make sure "Sync Music" is checked:
Afterwards, you'll have the option to sync either the entire music library (for your first iPod), or "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" (for the secondary device). Upon selecting this option, four larger option boxes will appear allowing you to pick and choose what content will be synced. For audiobooks, you may need to do the above in the "Books" section. Scanning several docs and emailing to one addressee

I want to send several items to one addressee.But the nachine (Photosmart 5520) seems to limit me to one document per email. Shouldn't it ask, after I have scanned one doc, if I want to scan any more, so that I can send say 10 or 20 together?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I see you would like to be able to add multiple pages when using the Scan to Email option on your HP Photosmart 5520. Now because the PS 5520 uses the Scan to Email application this is not a feature of the app. With that being said you are still able to do this using the HP software on the computer as opposed to the front panel of the printer.

Once on the page, please select the How to Scan with HP Software and click on the How to Scan to Email option and complete the steps listed to add multiple pages to one email.

What program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager?

If you have not already done so, configure the AirPort Base Station not connected to the router to "extend" the wireless network created by the other AirPort Base Station. Read this for a more thorough explanation:

Take note of the following in the above, which I recommend:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.

The physical location of extended Wi-Fi base stations will vary according to the building environment and may require some experimentation.
If feasible for your installation, a "roaming network" is the ideal configuration, and precludes the need for experimentation.

Joining head- and item- records during data-staging

I've got the following scenario:
I get data from 2 datasources, one (myds_h) provides documents-heads and the other one provides document-items (myds_i).
Unfortunately the myds_i-DataSource does not contain the head-fields (but foreign-key-fields with the reference to the head).
For the reporting I'd like to provide item-level data containing the document-head-information as well.
Which point of the data-staging in the BW-system would you recommend for doing this join?
Maybe some options:
a) I could enhance the myds_i-DataSource and do the join in the source-system.
b) I could enhance the item-data using the transformation between the item-PSA and an item-ODS.
c) I could enhance the item-data using a transformation between an item-ODS and an additional item/head-ods
d) I could enhance the item-data using the transformation between the item-ODS and the final InfoCube.
e) I could use an Analysis-Process-Chain and an InfoSet instead of the above mentioned transformations.

In your solution a) to d), you will have some delta pb. If header data modification can occur without any modification on the items, you will lose some header modification in your item DSO.
The easiest solution will probably be to handle the header data as a masterdata (header data as attributes of this masterdata), Header data will then be available with your item data. This solution may cause some performance problem if you have a lot of headers.
Another solution will be to build a transformation between you header DSO and your item DSO (every header modification will modify all items of the header). This will bring some ABAP

Create a activuty step. ( In general we need to create a task here )
Add/ paste the workflow template number insead of creating the Task.
Make the required binding.

Two Apple IDs one one computer sharing music files and want both to have iTunes match for iPhones

My wife and I share one windows computer. We each have our own iTunes accounts but share the music files. We want to both use iTunes Match but I can't turn that on on both accounts. Any thoughts?

You want to use iTunes Match on what devices? As you are aware it is not possible to have iTunes Match enabled for two iTunes Store accounts on the same computer, since any one device can only be associated with one Apple ID every 90 days. This applies to iOS devices as well as computers.
iTunes Match is designed to be a single-user service that is never signed out. So there are no easy solutions to your situation. If one of you enables iTunes Match on one Apple ID and the other re-downloads anything from your purchase history or has an automatic download happen that will initiate an Apple ID re-association for the device and will lock out the other account for 90 days.
On iOS devices, it can only be signed into one Apple ID every 90 days for same reason. At this time you've really only got a couple of solutions: Abandon one iTunes Store Apple ID and only use one for all devices; or, purchase a new computer and have separate iTunes Match accounts.

Back up to one Timecapsule at work and a different one at home- automatically

I want to have my computer back up to one Time Capsule at work and a different one at home - Automatically. I would like to find some way to have it sense the different network or different time capsule and automatically switch between the two so I don't have to switch and switch back

Sorry, but you'll have to open Time Machine Preferences to manually reset Time Machine each time that you change networks.
