One year limited warranty coverage

Does the one year limited warranty cover broken/stuck buttons?
My sound and lock button are both stuck and not in working order.
Will this be covered?

I received the same e-mail, but I have not responded yet because I wasn't sure if it was legit or not.  The primary reason I don't think (at least for myself) that it is legit is that there was an order number in the email subject, but it did not match my order number for my iPhone 4S purchase.  It made it very suspect in my mind...either that or something else is messed up. ;-) But the Apple Store has the same order number I have when I logged in, so I think the e-mail is suspect...not a problem with my order.
I figured that the phone is covered for 90 days and during that time we are supposed to be able to add the AppleCare to it.  I'll do so during that time.
I also purchased the iPhone 4S via the Apple Store App, but on my iPhone 3GS.
Sorry I'm not much help, but that was my thinking behind why I did not respond to it.

  • MBP - One Year Limited Warranty

i will be purchasing my first mac tonight, i just want to ask if the one year limited warranty is global coverage? [i will be living overseas next year].
    thank you!

i was at the stanford apple store and asked them the same question. they advised me to buy the applecare where i purchased the laptop and then take it overseas.
But this info on apple's site confuses me ?
Where can I purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan?
    * The AppleCare Protection Plan is available at the online Apple Store, Apple retail stores, and many Apple Authorised Resellers. Apple recommends that you purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan in your country of residence, because each AppleCare Protection Plan has terms and conditions specific to consumers of the country or region in which the plan is offered. Please see the AppleCare Protection Plan Terms and Conditions for complete details.
I think you should call the store closest to the place you'll be living to ask what the right thing to do is?

  • I'm buying a MBP from a non apple store, do I still have the same "one year limited warranty"? And is it international or not?

I live in Turkey and my father is bying me a Macbook pro from Dubai's airport, and I was wondering if I would still have the same "one year limited warranty" as if I bought it from an apple store in Turkey, and is the one year limited warranty international or not?
So can I return, replace or repaire the laptop in Turkey

If the seller is an Authorized Apple Service Provider, then yes.  Otherwise I do not know.
I do not see Dubai listed:

The Apple warranty is world wide.
    Ciao.

  • My iphone5s has been opened, could i get Out-of-warranty repair service? it is still in One Year Limited Warranty

my iphone5s has some problem with hardware. And someone has opened it for repairing. but he failed. Now, my iphone5s unable to boot. But it is still in One Year Limited Warranty. I am confused whether i can get Out-of-warranty service. Thank you!

No. Apple will never touch that phone again. Go back to the "technician" that ruined your phone. Maybe he will offer you "warranty" service and give you some cash that you can use in buying a new phone.

  • One Year Limited Warranty Question

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had to exercise their one year limited warranty with Apple. I won my iPhone 3G from work, and now I have discovered that it has a loose part in it near the earpiece. It sounds even WORSE when I take out the SIM card. I believe this is the cause of my random and sporadic problems where I'm prompted to power off the phone or when I'm using the phone no call it'll suddenly reboot.
Any ways, because it was a gift from work, do you guys think Apple will honour it?
If so, is it a straight-exchange over-the-counter or do I have to wait and what-not?
    Thanks to all that reply!

The written warranty states that an exchange under warranty will be a new or refurbished iPhone, so it will be either one. If you receive a refurbished iPhone for the exchange, you won't be able to tell any difference, and the exchange will remain under the same warranty.

  • If you lost your ipod touch does your one year limited warranty give you a new one?

i lost my ipod touch an hour ago. ive tried finding it with the locator but since it's offline it hasnt been of much help. ive come to the conclusion that somebody stole it because i lost it in class. so does my one year limited warranty cover a stolen/lost ipod?

No.  The warranty only covers manufacturing defects.
Lost/stolen devices are not covered, nor are devices with physical damage.

  • One year limited Warranty

Hi, I bought my Iphone last October in the UK. Does the limited warranty applies to other countries, ie Singapore? I'm asking this as there seems to be a problem with my Iphone 4 and I am currently stationed in Singapore. Also, I did not purchase the applecare. Any respond to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The iPhone warranty is not International.  It is only honored in the country where Apple initially sold the device.
The only exception is in EU countries where the warranty is honored in other EU countries.

My Apple Earpods messed up by unfair circumstances.they still work, but not too well frankly. The bass seems to be gone and the sound of the music when I tried them is diminished. Will I just have to by new ones or could I have them replaced?

You will have to buy new ones, user damage is not covered under a warranty.

  • Does 1 year limited warranty cover faulty back camera?

Does the 1 year Limited warranty cover faulty back camera when phone has a small crack in it. Camera stopped working I took the case off the see if that was interfering and dropped the phone.

Sorry, but dropping the phone is not covered by the warranty, so, if you visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider to get the phone serviced, you might have to pay the Out-Of-Warranty-Service fee to get your phone replaced:

  • Warranty - What exactly is one year of service coverage with Apple?

    Hey All..
My MacBook Pro is seriously playing up. I haven't purchased the AppleCare service additional to my computer as I wasn't sure I'd need it...Hmm. Anyways, I have 2 questions:
    1) I purchased my MBP on March 7th 2007 (11 months 27days ago..Eek!), is it then too late to purchase AppleCare with the fact my MBP is feeling a little shaky?
    2) What exactly does one year of service coverage at an Apple-authorized repair center mean? Does this cover me for any repairs that they do to my machine..or is that only covered in the 90 day of "Complimentary" support? I am confused to the difference between the 90 days and the 12 month support. Would love to know anyones opions on this as I have to move fast with a weeks vacation coming up next Friday...many many thanks..

The 90 days is if you want to phone someone up and ask them how to set up your email and that sort of thing.
The hardware warranty is one year, so if you have a hardware problem within the year, Apple will fix for free.
If you have a software problem, then that is not something they'll fix - they give you the Install DVs so that you can get it back to the state it was in on day 1 if you want to.
You can buy and register AppleCare as long as you do it before the warranty expires.
If you paid with a credit card, sometimes they double your warranty for free - so check with them in case they did.
    Good luck.
PS - For AppleCare, check out eBay and CompUSa - might be cheaper.

  • My refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?

Hi, my refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?
I just discovered today that my MacBook has a "stuck" pixel. I read that the display has to have at least 5 dead/stuck pixels else Apple is not going to repair it, is it true? My warranty expires in 1 month so I can't really wait for 4 more pixels to die or get stuck.
    Temporary fix:
I know that this is something I can't really repair myself, but I tried some things such as changing the display resolution to it's "Full" 2880x1800 resolution and It actually reduced the size of the stuck pixel.
    Thank You,

    Hello etienne255,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with questions concerning pixel anomalies:
About LCD display pixel anomalies for Apple products released before 2010 - Apple Support
If you suspect your display contains a high number of pixel anomalies, take your Apple product to an Apple Authorized Service Provider for closer examination.

  • Why does my palm pre not covered under the one-year manufacturer warranty?

    Hello Palm,
I bought one Palm Pre last month for my brother in China who is a big fan of Palm devices. However, the second week after he got the phone, the phone got very hot once he switched on and he can't access the internet. He doubted the chip of the phone was defective which causes the heat.
I called Palm Pre customer service in California several times and finally connected to a lady. She said since the phone was used in China and didn't come with a carrier number, they can't repair it and she suggested me upgrading the system. I don't understand why this phone was not covered by the one year manufacture warranty. The lady was not able to give an answer. So I am asking here to expect to have a reasonable one.
I am really frustrated by this phone problem and need a positive feedback.
    Thanks

I think their "refurbished only after 30 days" policy is ridiculous. The phone is less than 2 months old, and now I have to settle for a refurb when there's more than one thing wrong with the phone. It freezes, turns off, and restarts even with light usage. It heats up to the point of turning itself off and not coming back on. the speaker just blew, and with the slider open and shut, it wobbles all over the place. This is a great phone, packed with features, although video and/or sound recording would be nice. It is a true all in one device, and does everything. It's just not well made, and the replacement policy stinks. Next time I want a used ph one, I"ll get one on craigslist. I had LG's for the last 7 years, and had a problem once, about a month before the warranty was up, and they sent me a brand new phone. can't see me sticking with palm in the future, unless they fix all the issues with this phone.
