OneKey Recovery - backup fails in Windows 10

Using OneKey Recovery version 8.1.0.2619 on Windows 10 Home I'm trying to create a backup on an external hard drive and it crashes on the "Initializing.." phase with the error:
Exception thrown at 0x00007FFF6AB73B62 (SBREngine.dll) in OneKey Recovery.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000023B64880. Is there something I can do to make it work or do I have to wait for the next version? Thanks,
Adam Tal

Is it "symantec's netbackup"? I do not know that product and if it has an option to enter your own RMAN scripts. On the other hand, it should be able to create irman scripts according to your backup job definition.

  • G580 OneKey Recovery Backup Creating Problem

    Hello everyone,
I have a G580 laptop for almost two years. In this February, I had to send it to the authorized service and it came back to me with a new-reinstalled Win8 64-bit, like it had. Before I sent it to the service, I was able to create backup files in both default location and external hard disk. Since it came back to me, today I tried to create backup file for the first time and opened OneKey recovery. I only have 130 GB of data at most, so it takes around one and a half hour. When it reached up to almost 70%, it gave me an error saying "Cannot access the files" and the process stopped. I tried two or three times more after restarting the laptop, but the error didn't change. Then, I tried to create another backup file with the same name in the same folder after a failure, it somehow took about 30 minutes, which was supposed to be the remaining time when the error was given. And the backup was completed, it said.
Now, I have two questions :
Is the backup I could finally create reliable or not? Or can i restore my backup from it for sure?
    and
What is the reason for the error given and how to solve this?
    System Information (if necessary):
    Lenovo G580
    Win8 64 Bit SL
    Intel i5-3210
    4 GB Memory
If any additional information is needed, I can provide.
    Thank you !

  • Rescue & Recovery Backup Failing on T60

Hi all -- I'd appreciate any help on the following problem:
I've been performing regular backups of my T60 to an external HDD via USB for about a year now. I've been using Rescue & Recovery version 3.10.0022.00. Everything's been fine until a couple of weeks ago when after about 20 minutes into the backup, a message popped up that said "Backup did not complete sucessfully."
The R&R help files are worthless in terms of any sort of troubleshooting information.
I have 99 GB of space left on the external drive (at least according to R&R), and the HDD that I'm backing up has signficantly less data than 99 GB so I don't think space is a problem. (Curiously, before I ran the first backup that failed, R&R said I had about 110 or 120 GB free, and only after failing the first time and subsequent times did it say I only had 99 GB free).
I've read of people solving some of their R&R problems by reinstalling, but I'm afraid that the newly installed software won't recognize the backups already taken, and I'll be forced to delete them. I don't want to do this for several reasons.
    Can anyone help?
    Many thanks.

    Hi, eacuni.
I have no solution to this but am sharing your experience.
I am running Windows XP on a T60 FDG1951. Ever since I installed XP Service Pack 3 Rescue and Recovery has not been working properly while before that time I never had problems creating backups. Since installing SP3, Rescue and Recovery aborts backing up 100% of the time, showi ng an error message that simply states either that creating the backup was unsuccessful or - even more simply - that it was aborted. No explanation offered.
Uninstalling Rescue and Recovery and newly installing the most recent version (4.21.0016.00), as the IBM/lenovo helpdesk suggested, didn't help any, either. Nor can it be a problem of a lack of space on my hard drive: I'm creating (trying to create, that is) my backups on an external USB drive with a lush 220 GB free.
So can anyone of you out there please help poor eacuni and me?
    Thanks!
    Thomas

  • Recovery Backup Option for Windows 8

I have an HP Envy dv7 Notebook with Windows 8. This is probably going to be a silly question.
I am trying to find out what recovery media I need to create in case I need to recover my PC. There are 2 different places on my laptop where I created backup on a USB drive. The first one is under The Recovery Manager. Under The Recovery Manager and under "I'd like to take safety measueres, there is an option to Create Recovery Media Creation. That says it creates a set of media for your system. I went to that and created the media recovery on a US drive.
I then found another page located under the Control Panel.  Under the Control Panel, and then under All Control Panel Items, and then under recovery, there is an option that says "Create a Recovery Drive." Under that option it says Create a recovery drive to refresh or reset your PC, or to troubleshoot problems, even when it can't start. I clicked that and created it on a USB drive as well.
My question is are these both the same thing or are they 2 different ways to restore your PC. Do you need to create both of them to be used for 2 different ways to restore your PC or do they basically restore in the same way!
Also, even though I have Windows 8 I have a place under control panel, and under all control panel items, Windows 7 File Recovery. I'm not sure why I have that because my laptop came with Windows 8 installed. Do I need to do anything with it, or do I even need it at all. Theres options in there to create a system image or a system repair disk. I just dont get it becuase its under the Windows 7 File recovery and i dont have Windows 7. If anyone can kind of guide me what I need to do or any input on my questions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi markussukram,
You are wanting to get information on how to create a back up on your Windows 8 pc, is this correct?
Here are a couple of documents that will show you how to create Recovery Media as well as backing up your pc data.
This first link gives information on how to create Recovery Media in case the operating system becomes corrupt or unresponsive.
This link gives step-by-step instructions on how to back up data using on a Windows 8 pc.

  • Backup failed for Windows 2008 R2 error code 2147755009 event id 19

    Hi Guys,
I'm doing Windows server backup to a NAS drive via iSCSI target, and everything works fine until a few weeks back where my backup started to fail with the above event ID and error code. Description provided by Microsoft doesn't help either as it simply doesn't
    explain much at all. (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc734218%28v=ws.10%29.aspx)
I updated the firmware of the NAS drive, make sure iSCSI connection wasn't dropping, and i even manage to do a backup manually via the "Backup Once" action. But when it comes to scheduled backup, it keeps on failing. I'm pretty sure the NAS drive
is working fine as well as iSCSI connection since i can do a backup manually.
    Any idea guys?

    Hi,
Could you please provide more detailed information about the error? You could refer to the article below to check if it helps:

    Hi
We have a Windows 2012 server with Exchange 2013, all is working fine except now i am getting issues with the backup.
'Exchange - The application will not be available for recovery from this backup. the consistency check failed for the component Microsoft Exchange Server'
I have checked the database all is fine, i have created a new db and move all mailbox;s over and then removed the old db, i have enabled circular logging and then disabled it, it seems no matter what i do i cannot get a full backup!
i did have to restore the server once and the backups still worked for about 4 days after that and then stopped, i have also tried to remove and re add the backup role!
i am stumped, any advice would be great!

    Hi
Ok, i created a test db and tried to back it up right away, it failed, i did not add any mailbox's to it either. i got quite a few events in the windows logs, as well as the same event above i got the following:

  • I uninstalled Lenovo OneKey Recovery program windows 8 (64 bit)

I don't care about my back up file, I was planning on making a new one anyways but I can't find any way to download it. I tried getting the Windows 7  64bit version but when I install it it's an entirely different icon and when I open it it says "driver installation failed
    please reinstall application"
    I already have though.
can anybody help me by giving me a safe, working download link.

  • IdeaPad U330 shows a blue screen and then shuts down while trying to Backup using onekey recovery

I have a brand new Lenovo IdeaPad U330 2267-58U preloaded with Windows XP Professional. After I installed some application software I tried to use the Onekey Recovery (from the Start menu) to create a backup of my system partition (C drive) for the first time. For backup mode I chose "Full backup" and for Compression Type I chose "Quick compression" (I tried the no compression option and it didn't work either). I then clicked the "Next" button and left everything unchanged as the default setting (backup location set to the D: drive). As soon as I clicked the "next" button, and then the "start" button, the screen turns blue and the system reboots. The system then reboots with the blue disck-checking screen.
Any fix to this problem??  I haven't been able to create any back up for my system or create a recovery disc so far.

have you checked your disk(s) for error(s)?

and one more thing, can you send the system or application events? ( related error )

I am getting the error Backup Failed there was a failure while compacting the virtual hard disk on the backup location 0x80780151. Are there some drives I can leave out of the backup? These are the checked drives

Read the entire link, as the RPM referred to in the link, was an error. It should have been TPM. Turn off TPM, and make sure the backup drive is formatted correctly.

  • Windows 2008 R2 backup fails with event 521 error code 2155348001

    Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.  Hyper-V role installed.
OS on drive C.  All VMs stored on Drive D.
I am attempting to run a Bare Metal backup of the host system to a network share.
Drive D is not included in the backup job.  I am getting the following error:
    Log Name:      Application

    Description:
The backup operation that started at '‎2014‎-‎01‎-‎11T04:08:50.683000000Z' has failed because the Volume Shadow Copy Service operation to create a shadow copy of the volumes being backed up failed with following error code '2155348001'. Please review the event
details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved.
Reviewing event details, as suggested, does not offer any solution.
I have tried the suggested solutions in other similar threads of increasing the timeout value with the registry entry.
    This does not work.
I have not tried reregistering the VSS writers manually, as the only links I have found are for server 2003/2008 (not R2) and explicitly state that they won’t work on higher versions of the OS, since they now utilize manifests and the manual procedure could
cause problems for those servers. Haven't found similar procedures for 2008 R2.
I have been able to narrow this down a bit.
    A Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server with Hyper-V installed – backup to a network share is successful;
Install the DPM 2012 agent – same backup fails with the 2155348001 error.
We use DPM 2012 to backup VMs, but DPM cannot perform a bare metal backup/restore of server and the 2012 version no longer has the DPMSRT feature.
I prefer to run Bare Metal Backup to a file server share.
    Stuck on this one.

    Hi,
The issue is related to DPM, I would suggest you ask for help from DPM forums:

  • Recovery from backup fails... what to do?

My iPhone 3gs has been getting slower and slower over some time now. Sometimes it could take up to one minuet to lock the phone after pressing the button. Also my photos was unavailable from the iPhone, every time I tried to access the photos or an application tried to save a photo, the app crashed. So I decided that it might be an idea to take a backup start over on the phone. Recovery to factory settings seems to go fine, and efter I unlock the sim card for the first time, I am asked if I would like to recover from itunes, iCould or make a new phone. I select itunes and connect to my computer, it downloads all data to the phone, and begins to reboot. In the reboot, it freezes on the screen with the apple logo and the statusbar on approxemately 15 %. I have tried a couple of times now, and it is exactly the same place each time. I have tried holding lock and home buttons down and forcing a reboot, I have tried to download several older firmwares to recover form, I have downloaded the newest iTunes, I have tried waiting for hours hoping that the statusbar will start moving again, but all without any luck...
I suspect that something was corrupted in my image folder causing all image programs to fail, and maybe it is the same that has been transferred to the backup, and that is causing my recovery to fail.
Is there a way to check/change the contents of a backup before reloading it?
Or does anyone have any other ideas to how I can get my data back from the backup?
    Waiting with anticipation
    With best regards
    Kristian Mørck

I'm not aware of anything that would allow you to edit/change the contents of a backup.  About the best your could do is use a program like iPhone Backup Extractor to try to extract as much of your data from the backup as possible.
