Oneway audio on offnet calls over sip at a single location.

I have an issue that just effects one of my remote sites that is on SIP but not the others, it also seems to just effect some of the phones with no disernable pattern on type, or phone settings, I even copied a working phone to rebuild a non working phone but the problem presisted, the phones uses the same switch and router and the SW port settings are the same.  The issue is when a call is placed offnet to long distance (so digit) dial or 1800 number the caller cannot hear anything but the person being called can hear.  I can not replecated this problem from my main staiton or other locations.
any adivce in Troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Are you able to perform a CUCM SDI trace during a problem call?
Does that Line:Phone have the same Calling Search Space   as the other phones on the remote site?
ON the CUBE, do a "show call active brief" when you have a problem call up, look for the dial peer matching your DN on the problem phone and it's IP address (inbound) and other dial peer representing called number (outbound). What dial peers are being matched?

    Hi,
Please try to clear all preferences for Mac Lync.
You can do as following steps in the link:
    http://www.unicom.iu.edu/kb.php?docid=bave :
    1.  Quit Lync for Mac.
2..In your Home folder, open the Library folder. Note that Mac OS X 10.7 and later hides your Library folder. To access it:
           1. Press Command-Shift-g, or from the Go menu, select Go to Folder... .
           2. In the Go to Folder drop-down window, enter ~/Library, and click Go.
    3.  Remove the following files from your Library folder:
              /Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Lync.plist
              /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ByHost/MicrosoftLyncRegistrationDB.xxxx.plist
/Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync-x.log (This file is present only if you turned on Lync Logging.)
              /Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync.log
    4.  In your Documents folder, remove the following:
              /Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft Lync Data
    5.  Optionally, also remove Microsoft Lync History:
              Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft Lync History
Note: This optional step will delete saved conversations. For Mac users, the conversation history is not saved to the Exchange account, but instead is saved locally
    to the Mac.
    6.  Open Keychain Access from the /Applications/Utilities folder:
         1. Delete any keychains on the left that look like the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    OC__KeyContainer__emailaddress
         2. In your Login keychain, delete the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    emailaddress.cer
    7.  In the /Users/username/Library/Keychains folder, delete all files that look like the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    OC__KeyContainer__emailaddress

  • Is skype calls over bluetooth not supported?

I upgraded to 2.2.4 firmware. So now I can use Skype voice calls. But I found that my bluetooth headphone cannot be used in the skype call, but only regular call.
I wonder if it is my bluetooth headphone's problem, or it is true that the firmware doesn't support Skype call over bluetooth.
Post relates to: Pre 2 p102una (Unlocked NA)

So, we'd have to get an answer from HP about this one. I don't have a Bluetooth headset so I am not able to test it. I do know that Music and Phone calls uses different Bluetooth connections to play audio. Phone calls us the Headset Profile while Music and Video use the Advanced Audio Distrobution Profile.
Try this, while on a Skype call, tap the Audio button in the bottom left and select Bluetooth. Does this work?

  • Prefixing a 9 and 91 to incoming calls from SIP provider for callback

I am wondering what would be the best options  for prefixing a 9 or 91 to incoming calls over a sip connection to allow callback from missed calls and recieved calls. The setup is
    callmanager 7.1.5 >>>>sip trunk>>>>>>>>>>>>CUBE>>>>>>>>>>>sip to ITSP
I am thinking voice translation rules is the only option for this? any configuration examples for this would be greatly appreciated.
    would this work?
    voice-translation rule 1
    rule 1 // /9/
    voice-translation profile prefix_9
    translate calling 1
    dial-peer voice 101 voip
    destination-pattern ???????...$
    voice-class codec 1
    session protocol sipv2
    session target ipv4: to callmanager
    incoming called-number .
    dtmf-relay rtp-nte
    dial-peer voice 1001 voip
    translation profile incoming prefix_9
    destination-pattern T
    session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4: to sip provider
    incoming called-number ???????...$
    dtmf-relay rtp-nte

Your config should work fine, except your profile is only applied to one dial-peer, make sure you apply it to the one that is used to redirect the call to CUCM.
Also, you did not mention what country you are in, but if this is US you may want to prefix 91 to national calls as carriers don't provide 9 as part of the CLID delivery, also what about your international calls, you may would be more explicit in your first rule to match for national digit string and then have another rule for international.
    HTH,
    Chris

Please help me... I don't know what to do!

You need to contact service provider for this , after authentication challenge your sip provider is not sending any response.
Contact them and ask whether they had received INVITE with proxy authentication details or not.

  • Outbound Call Failure - SIP Trunk

All phones are unable to dial a single target number on the PSTN.  The symptom is that it rings once and goes fast busy.
    The call flow is:
Phone >>> CUCM >>> CUBE >>> Verizon SIP Trunk >>> PSTN >>> Target Number
As seen in the CUBE debug ccsip messages, the CUBE receives a "SIP/2.0 480 Temporarily unavailable" message.  debug ccsip messages, dial-peer and voice class information follows:

  • Calls over VPN -- SIP_URL::ParseUrlBase ParseSipUrlParams failed 80004005

I am finding in my environment that users who are on a VPN remotely have issues making phone calls to anyone else who's internal or even someone
    outside on their cell phone.
The VPN client being used is Citrix Access Gateway.
User makes calls over the Lync 2010 Client.
I turned on Logging and gathered details from the Tracing directory with Snooper and came across these. Any idea of what is going on?
The person they're trying to call is showing up there as a name instead of a number in the log. Is that normal?

    Hi,
For the VPN, when users connect to the corporate network using a VPN client, Lync media traffic is sent through the VPN tunnel. This configuration can create additional latency and jitter because media traffic must pass through an additional layer of encryption
    and decryption.
The recommend way is to use a split tunnel for VPN. Then Lync client connects to the Access Edge Server for all signaling connections when on the corporate VPN. In addition, media sessions don’t be allowed to establish connectivity through the VPN tunnel.
Media sessions will be routed through the A/V Edge Server public interface.
    More details:

  • Calling over WiFi

Do BT antcipate any introduction of a "calling over WiFi" app?
EE are introducing a seamless approach in very selected phones running EE firmware only. However I prefer Three's app approach and being able to select which AP is authorised for WiFi calling and works pretty well. Never got on with O2's TuGo!

The free Zoiper app is pretty useful.  It's a VOIP client that runs in the background on your cellphone.  It connects VOIP calls over whatever physical network is available at the time. Whether GPRS, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, or 802.11, including BTWiFi hotspots.
Direct Inward Dialling (DID) telephone numbers for VOIP are also available for free from certain VOIP providers. The Zoiper app is then configured to accept inbound calls to those DID numbers.   The Zoiper client can actually handle multiple SIP accounts. Useful if you're abroad, for avoiding roaming charges, and for making low-cost domestic or international calls (i.e. least-cost-routing).
By shopping around for VOIP providers, making calls to geographical numbers in the UK, USA, and many other countries can be virtually free, as well as free to US mobiles.  Those calls that are still charged, are generally minimal in cost.
With the maturity of packet-switched VOIP calling -- and the availability of multiple physical networks to carry the underlying connection -- making a voice-call over the traditional cellphone has surely had its day.

  • Voice/video calling over BBM is no longer available for OS 10.3.1.1565

After updating to OS 10.3.1.1565 for my BB Passport voice/video calling over BBM is no
longer available. I CANNOT MAKE VOICE OR VIDEO CALLS OVER BBM neither I CAN RECEIVE CALLS
OVER BBM. I do use voice calling over bbm on a daily basis and I feel like I am now without
    my phone!
I did update ALL the application offered for the update. Right now there are NO applications
available for the update - all are up-to-date.
BB World indicates I use BBM 10.6.4.10. I did REFRESH BB World with no changes. Yet NO UPDATES
    are offered.
When I select the BBM application in BB World among the list of Installed application it
says in red color "Unavailable for this device".
I see some use BBM 10.6.5.10. Are there troubles with voice/video calling over BBM for
    10.6.5.10 & OS 10.3.1.1565?
Maybe the bug is with BB World that is to be updated itself? But it does not offer me to
    update one.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I wish I new how to update
I have purchased yesterday BB Classic for my wife and also updated OS for it.
BBM works flawlessly with OS 10.3.1.1565 and preinstalled BBM 10.5.15.19. However its also indicates in red that the application is "Unavailable for this device".
Anyone from Blackberry, would you please suggest how to update BBM in my case?! It is that vital for me.
    Thanks.

  • Audio and Video call greyed out

Hi. I m using ichat (lion OS) in my mac mini. My problem is cant video call or even call anyone, but people can video call me. When other's call me, both video and audio works fine. But in my ichat all i see is greyed out audio or video call. Please help..

    HI,
If your Video Menu says  Video Chat  Enabled and your View Menu says the Show Video Status is On and the Bandwidth is set to at least 500kbps then I cannot see why you cannot initiate Chats.
You should either be able to click a green video icon next to a Buddy or highlight them and then use the icons at the bottom of the list (Or right-click a Buddy and you the pop up menu or highlight and use the Buddies Menu)
(i.e. there are lots of ways to start a chat)
If the Buddy is greyed Out but still showing a Video icon (Also greyed out) then that Buddy has  faulty login.
Dark text Buddies are ON line but greyed out Video icons are then Busy

  • Audio Dropouts on calls after v.1.1.4 update.

I installed the *1.1.4 firmware* update the day it came out...since then, I'm having consistent audio-dropouts during calls.
It happens for anyone that I call, about *every 4 to 6 seconds*, I get a blip of silence, and makes conversing very difficult.
I tried the "Restore" option in iTunes, it backed up my phone first, then went to factory defaults.... Even before restoring my data, I made an outgoing call by manually dialing and got the same audio problem.
    Any ideas out there?
    thanks in advance,
    -h

If you have a friend that has a computer with iTunes on it, I would recommend Restoring your iPhone on their computer incase the firmware update through your computer might have not gone through correctly.
Or take it to a Genius Bar at a nearby Apple Store and have them restore and make sure the software is updated on your iPhone for you. Sometimes it just helps when they use their computers for updates.
I've noticed others having issues with updating their firmware as well on their personal computers, but when they take it in to the Genius Bar and they restore/update with their computers, it seems to work fine afterwards.

  • Can i play my phone calls over my car speakers?

For some reason after installing my bluetooth I can hear my game sounds over my car stereo speakers. I've always wanted to be able to hear my phone calls over my speakers. Does anyone know if I can do this and if so, how do you set it up? Thanks.

Sure, if your car has the right features ...
My (and a lot of other) car(s), have a bluetooth pairing capability that includes a microphone in the car (ceiling).
So I can play music through the car speakers, and if a phone call comes in, the music will stop (iPhone feature) and once I answer the call (which I can do from pushbuttons on the steering wheel), I can talk (through the car's microphone) and hear (through the car's speakers).
Check out if your car is set up for this.

  • Unable to perform call transfer or call park for an outbound call via SIP Trunk (SKYPE)

We have configured the SIP Trunk & SIP profile and successfull make outbound call through SIP Trunk (SKYPE). However, we are not able to perform call transfer or call park when the call is connected.
    The scenario is:
A call to an phone number via SIP trunk, when call established, A perform call-transfer to B. After the call-transfer, the call Drop and Phone B show error code "Temp Fail"
When i select "enable MTP" in SIP trunk, we are able to call transfer and call park. But it limit the number of call session to 1.

You are probably running into some sort of Codec issue.  IE, your phone is G.711 and the trunk is G.729. You will need to transcode the call at somepoint.

  • My 3GS crashes during phone calls over about 3 minutes, even after the upgrade to 5.0

My 3GS crashes during phone calls over about 3 minutes, even after the upgrade to 5.o

I've also got this annoying problem, but it seems to vary how long the phone wants to last before crashing - i think the longest conversation i've had with iOS4 is 15 minutes and it was an important phone call (my son was in hospital at the time and i was away on business)
i was hoping that iOS4.2 would fix the problem, but alas nothing but more crashing..
being a user of Apple products since 1984, having this trouble is pretty disappointing as i used to believe that Apple made a quality product..
