Ongoing unresolved issue of not ringing/bleep ...

When receiving a call Skype wont ring. Ive tried older versions, but apparently in Skypes infinite wisdom, that's not possible anymore. Why am I paying for a Skype number when the most basic function wont work half the time? I've had this same issue on other devices too many times, sometimes un & reinstalling works for awhile. My opinion is that its a known performance issue that has not been properly addressed by Skype/Microsoft & is total bull**bleep** I'll be switching to Viber. Good riddance Samsung Galaxy s2.

My primary email account is IMAP and I have just found what I suspect are all the messages that were not saved in my "sent" folder either on my iMac or ISP server. They were in the "Sent" folder of my secondary, little-used Hotmail account and the recipients "saw" these as originating from this account rather than the one from which I actually sent them. After some testing, I discovered that, for my primary account, the "always use this server" box was not checked. I surmise that, if the Mail app has trouble using the server associated with my primary account, it simply uses the Hotmail server (this would be consistent with the delay before hearing the "whooshing"noise). What does surprise me is that, if this Hotmail server has been used, the recipient sees the message as originating from Hotmail. Is this what is supposed to happen?

I'm on iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 on Australian Vodafone Pre-paid network.
Have a similar issue where I would call my iPhone from a landline, ring tone suggest that phone is ringing, but the actual iPhone device itself is not ringing.
Thought it was the network, so I got myself a new sim - same problem.
Use other (working in other iPhone) sim on the problem iPhone - same problem.
Tried calling out from the problem iPhone - same problem.
The only fix for me was to reset the iPhone by going to: Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings.

We need more information. Do you have a subscription that covers mobiles such as a US subscription? If not you will need skype credit to forward to your mobile. Have you set your privacy settings to allow anyone to call. Like this.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
I hope this sloves the problem.

Agent Phone is not ringing (outbound)

I am using ICM 7.5.7. I have configured agent based campaign for outbound dialing. When dialer place any call to agent desktop agent can accept it and the call is also going to the customer. Both of they are able to talk each other.
Here the issue is when the call lands on agent desktop the IP phone is not ringing. Can any one help me on this.

Switch the dialing mode to preview direct. This is by far the superior method for preview.
When you use preview direct, the call is placed from the agent's phone to the customer directly once they press "Accept". This has many advantages, but the main one is that the agent hears all the progress tones at the other end. There is absolutely no point in making the dialer call the customer from a dialer port (VIP30) and then transferring the other end to the reserved agent. When Cisco came out with preview direct, I changed all my customers over to this method and reaped huge benefits.
Try it - you will understand. This is really a must.

If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.

My iPhone 5 will not ring when my phone number is called.

Despite the "Silent" button on the side of the iPhone 5 being set to off, and the ringer turned on full blast, my iPhone 5 will not ring when any number calls my phone. This is not an issue with the settings, which are all set for the phone to ring. Has anyone else run into this problem, or may have a solution besides taking the phone in for repair? My phone is no longer covered under the one year limited manufacturer's warranty, so any repair is likely going to cost a minimum of almost $300.

My Online number does not ring

I keep getting told by people that they are ringing my number and it just rings out.
I dont get a notification on my pc or a missed call logged.
This does not happen all the time, but frankly once is more than enough.
I would like to contact Skype directly about this, but can't see how - has anyone else had this problem?
Is there something I can do/check to see if its my end?

I have had a Skype online telephone number for over two years. However, within the last two months, I have been having a similar problem as SteveCl, as when someone calls my Skype telephone number my Skype does not ring intermittently.
In addition, I use Google Voice, which allows someone to call my Google Voice telephone number, which will then automatically ring all of the telephones that I have associated with this service. For example, if someone calls my Google Voice number, my landline, cell phone, MagicJack, and Skype telephone lines (should) ring. My landline, cell phone, and MagicJack all ring consistently when someone calls my Google Voice telephone number. However, Skype rings intermittently, at least in the last two months.
Until recently, my Skype online number rang consistently when someone called it. This problem has only manifested itself within the last two months. Making the problem even more puzzling is that sometimes my Skype online number will ring through while other times it will not. For example, on March 24, 2012, it worked; however, on March 25, it does not work. Sometimes Skype will not ring through at 3 p.m. but will ring through at 3:30 p.m.; as I said, this is very intermittent. I have the most recent version of the Skype software installed. Skype is configured to allow calls to my Skype number from anyone. I have not changed this setting.
I can use Skype to call out to telephone numbers or other Skype users without a problem. In addition, I have not noticed any problems when Skype users call me; Skype on my ends rings through in this case. Skype-to-telephone and Skype-to-Skype calls are usually good quality, so my Internet connection should not be influencing this issue.
I would also like to contact Skype directly about this issue. If anyone knows how, please let me know.

Phone does not ring.. intermittent..

I have had this issue since switching to Verizon. Some calls go through, some do not.
The calls that do not go through seem to happen repeatedly, but not always, from certain callers/phone #s. But I get other calls that do not ring or show a missed call as well.
Cable company came out and called to let me know. Since my phone didn't ring on my end, and they didn't leave a message, they left! I've been without internet for a week due to "missing" their call..
I tried calling my cell from my work desk phone, the cell did not ring. I tried *73, and powered off the cell, removed the sim card, put it back in after a minute, started phone back up. I was able to call my cell successfully twice from my office phone after. Then waited 30 minutes or so, tried again and the call wouldn't go through.
My signal is decent, at least 3 bars, 4g. This issue happens in various places, out and about, at home, etc
I have a galaxy s4.
From reading through various threads, this seems to be a common issue for verizon, is there a resolution yet? This is getting old and I am missing important calls and appointments due to calls not going through.

I spoke to the reseller today and they aggred to exchanged it. They didn't elaborate on the actual cause but thought that it had to be a hardware issue.
It could either be the issue that Euvix suggested or it could be as simple as the outer speaker is simply not working.
Anesi, did you use the phone before the upgrade? Looking at what you've written I take you didn't so I would go back and get it exchanged.

IOS 6.1 problem with the phone not ringing

Anyone having a problem after updating to IOS 6.1 on their iPhone 4s. The phone no longer rings when a call comes in. I tried restarting the phone which I have seen on a few post on the Internet but that did not correct the issues. My wife and I both have an iPhone 4s 32gb with Verizon and we both ran the update last night. My phone was a little slow so I restarted the phone and that seemed to resolve the issue. However on my wife's phone it will not ring. You call the number and you can see the call coming in but the phone will not ring. We have tried restarting the phone with no success. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to resolve.
PS: I am also one of the Administrators for the Messaging team and I have had several of my users with iPhones call me regarding the same issue. Looking for a solution for myself and others.

We definitely need to get to the bottom of this. Receiving calls, and being aware of them is totally important. Is it with every call? Did you check Alert Settings to ensure you have it set to Ring?
There is a Setting called Interruptions; this may interfere with all notifications when an App is open. It's in Sound and Notification.

I tried the DND settings....did not ring still. I checked all the obvious...ring tone...silence settings

Also every friend I have with an iPhone is currently having this issue....that's 5 phones in 3 states with different providers and all did the update...that's why I think it's software. Also my husband is in IT and he can't figure it out.

Everyone you are way over thinking this as did i at first. My wife had the same issue. there is i switch right above the volume button as demonstrated on this link. its designed for lets say you into a class or meeting you can switch the phone to silent quck and easy.

Hello... I just purchased the iPhone from AT&t and the phone will not ring when called. I have gone to settings, sounds, ringtones and all looks good. Phone sometimes shows a caller is calling but not always and it is not ringing. Please help>>>

If the issue is still occuring try a restore just in case.
If that does not solve the issue..... Take it back to where you purchased it from
AT&T's DOA (dead on arrival policy) is 30 days from the day of purchase.
They should be able to replace the iPhone for you as long as you ask them to within 30 days of it being purchased.
