Onkyo Audio Receiver Codes

I have an Onkyo Receiver Model TX-SR606. I'm looking for the correct code to program my Verizon remote. There are 20 codes that I know of. Some of the codes turn on the receiver, but don't turn it off AND some of the codes turn off the receiver, but don't turn it on. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything.  The FiOS remote is too limited.  Onkyo receivers only have discrete ON and OFF functions, they do not have a single command that will toggle the power.  Unfortunately, the FiOS remotes do not have in their l;ibraries any way to deal with this. Your best bet is to get a third party iuniversal remote, like from Radio Shack, One-for-all, or Harmony, if you want to go a little bit more upscale.
You're still going to have to work a little bit to add the required functions, but at least some of these remotes allow that, while the FiOS remote does not.

  • HP High Definition Audio Device Code 10 Error -- Causing HDMI Sound Problem

Hey guys, my laptop is an HP ENVY TouchSmart m7-j010dx Notebook PC, running Windows 8.1.
When I connect my laptop to my LG Smart TV through HDMI, I cant change the playback device to play the sound from the TV. The HDMI option does not appear in ¨Sound¨.
When I look in Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers; the High Definition Audio CODEC has an error which says (Device status):
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.
I have tried reinstalling and updating the drivers, cleaning and defraging the registry, optimizations etc.
I followed steps from other posts with similar problem as mine and nothing seems to work, I do not want to reinstall my windows just for this! I am running out of options, I tried everything I could for the past week. I would really appreciate some expert advice.
    Thanks!

  • My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with bluetooth audio receiver?

My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver.  It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair.  I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range.  Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver.  Any ideas?

Thank you!  We got the bluetooth receiver to use with our car stereo and our motorcycle stereo and were very frustrated when it quit working.  Thank you for helping me solve the problem!

  • What cables do I need to hook up iMac i7 to digital audio receiver.

Just bought a new iMac Quad i7 and expect delivery in two weeks. I would like to hook it up to my audio receiver so I can watch DVDs with full 5.1 Digital Surround. The receiver has optical/digital inputs.
The guys at the Apple store seemed clueless.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hello artandink
You will need a 3.5mm Toslink Adapter or a Toslink cable with a 3.5mm end to plug into the iMac's Audio Output Port.
The Toslink cable from the Apple Store has a 3.5mm Adapter to Toslink included:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/TL955LL/A
The one from OWC already has a 3.5mm on one end for the iMac's:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/CBLAOPTMT/
Some do not and you'll have to order the 3.5mm Adapter separately:

  • Connect via audio receiver

i am trying to hook up my apple tv 2 to my yamaha audio receiver via the HDMI jack so i can have the movies and audio play surround sound. has anyone done this and know how to get tv to find the source?

You would connect AppleTV to the Yamaha via HDMI then HDMI out from Yamaha to TV.
Alternativel connect AppleTV direct to TV with HDMI and use separate optical cable to Yamaha for audio.

how do i fix an audio error code 25974?

Typically this can be caused by an out of date driver or one that is not fully compatible with the version of OS X that you are using...
So, which Audio Interface are you using and are you using the latest drivers for that Audio Interface.. and are those drivers compatible with your version of OS X?

  • Core Audio Error Code -2

    Hi -
I just got my new 2 GHz Core 2 Duo iMac up and running but I don't get any sound from it. The boot chime works, but by the time it is all up there's no sound at all. The speaker icon disappears when I click it and the button for it on the preferences page gets unselected. Another thread said to boot Garage Band for a fix, but that gives me a Core Audio Error Code -2 dialog box. Also, nothing will play in iTunes either. Did any of you ever have this and/or know a way around it?

You may need to adjust the configuration in Audio MIDI Setup.
    From Mac Help in the Finder Help menu;
You can use Audio MIDI Setup to configure the audio input and output devices you use with your computer...open Audio MIDI Setup, in Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.
The default setting for Properties For: Built-in Output should be Source: Internal speakers, 44100.0 Hz, 2ch-24bit

  • Bluetooth audio receiver (Belkin) causes macbook built-in audio crash

Hello. Sometime I use an Bluetooth audio receiver (some Belkin one) to transmit audio to the sound system of my house. When the macbook dont found that device, then a pop-up come sayin: "We didn't find your bluethoot audio" and there's only one option to choose and that is "Stop using bluetooth audio receiver". Then, the built-in audio of the macbook disappears since I dont know. I cant hear anything, but when you on the computer, the first sound comes out so, its not a hardware problem.... Someone can help me?
    Thank you all.

I have to day more things about this issue. The problems started after I installed a NATIVE INSTRUMENTS plug-in called DRIVER. I haver searched every trace of it and erased from my HD.
Another thing regarding the issue is that when I try to open the midi configuration of the mac it suddenly crashes.
Any ideas before I take my laptop to the apple store?
    THANKS. Have a wonderful 2012!!

  • IMessages + Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver

I would LOVE to work iMessages with the Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver as an output. I can set it in the System Preferences > Sound as a main output, it works nice. However, I am unable to set the Bluetooth output in iMessages. Why?

    Hi,
    iChat 5 pic
I am not booted into Mountain Lion or Mavericks at the moment to be able to compare but I am sure that Mountain Lion (Messages 7) and Mavericks (Messages 8) do not have this extra Bluetooth option.
As I said it did require that it was set up "first" in System Preferences.
I see you have SoundFlower (that has been an issue in the past for iChat Audio).
Any chance your can use that to select the device ?
The other thing to note that the iChat setting is for a Headset  and not just an optional Output device.
It was set in Input as well as Output in System Preferences (and in iChat once it was set up).
I am not sure why it does not show up though.

  • I recently purchased an Onkyo stereo receiver with a wireless USB adapter, UWF-1, and want to stream audio from my MacBook Pro through my stereo system. The receiver tells me it is connected to my wireless LAN, but I cannot get music to play?

New to the community here, thanks for your patience.  I recently purchased an Onkyo TX-8050 Network Stereo Receiver with the UWF-1 USB adapter with the intent to stream audio from my MacBook Pro to the stereo. I have gone through the setup instructions for the adapter and the receiver gives me a message saying that it is connected to the password protected network, but that is as far as I can get.
I have gone into iTunes and clicked on the "Open Stream" option, but I just get a pop up box labeled "URL" that is empty. I have Home Sharing turned on and File Sharing turned on, but I am not seeing the receiver in my Finder window or as a iTunes device.
I would appreciate any and all advice and assistance.
    Thanks so much.

So I have been searching the iStore for Airplay and I find lots of information about what it is, but nothing about how much it costs, how/where to buy it, etc.?
Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver.

  • Macbook pro - onkyo AV receiver... best connection for optimal sound?

was curious what the optimal connection would be from my macbook pro to my AV receiver. the receiver is an onkyo HT-R640 with HDMI and digital optical connections. thanks for any advice!!
    cheers.

Well as of now since the macbooks dont have HDMI, the way to get the best quality audio is over optical.
Head over to www.monoprice.com and search there for the best deals on high quality cables.
What you want is a mini-toslink to regular toslink cable.
here is a link for a 12ft one for $3 plus shipping.
