Online, but no buddies

I am signed on to ichat, but I cannot see any of my buddies nor can they see me.
I have tried switching ports to 443, tired deleting the com.apple.iChat.plist and com.apple.iChat.AIM.plist and the other plist's for that matter. Nothing
It started a couple days ago, while in my office, now I am on the road on a different internet connection and I am getting the same problem.

I solved it myself. I saw something online about privacy settings in preferences (preferences, Accounts, Security). I went to that and my privacy level was set to allow anyone. So I assumed that was not the issue.
After exhausting all other options I went back to privacy level.
I cycled through the options and then selected allow anyone again and boom all my buddies magically appeared.
I never adjusted my privacy settings so its strange that the program would think I was set to block everyone even though the allow everyone was selected.
I hope this can help some one else.

I have been trying to appear online to my buddies for a while now. I keep clicking to available and tried to use a couple tricks my friends showed my like creating an IChat button on the top bar and switching to available however nothing seems to work. Nobody can ever see if I am online or not anymore, please help.

How many Buddy lists to you have showing on the Desktop ?
How many Accounts do you have Logged in ?
In the iChat Menu > Preferences > General Section use the option to Unlink multiple Buddy list (Untick the item)
No check the Status on each individual Buddy list
Also check that none are set to "Make Status same for all Accounts"
By Default iChat 6 (And Messages beta) displays all Accounts that are logged in in one Buddy list based on the setting in the General Section.
Some Settings such as Invisible seem to cross over where they should not when linked to "All Accounts".

Buddy online, but no video

When one of my buddies comes online they sometime appear on buddy list online, but without video. However, if I start a text chat with them they then can be seen with video, and then I can have a video chat. This happens with different buddies. Does anyone else have this problem? or better yet, does anyone have the solution.

It could be that they have not got System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming set to 1.5Mbps and not have enough Bandwidth available as a consequence.
It could also be that they have Show Video Status or the Camera turned Off in the Video > Camera Enabled option.

I recently changed my Apple ID online, but I can't find a way to change it on my iPod touch. It will let me change the password, but not the ID. What do I do? Do I need to delete the account and start over?

HT1800 how do I install a wireless printer to my iMac that doesn't have a cd drive. It comes with a cd but I can't use it. I have tried to download the driver online but not sure what to do now...

I have a Brother HL-2270DW that is wirless and it comes with an installation CD. But I don't have an external CD DRive for my imac. I have downloaded the driver online but I don't what to do from here. I suppose if I had the cd drive it would take me through it step by step but I can't.

Files from collaborated/shared folder show online but won't sync to my laptop

I have two CC accounts. One at work and one for my home business. Sometimes I want to share files between the accounts so I use the collaborate feature. The problem I have run into is the files will show up online but they won't transfer to my laptop. The main folder shows up but it's empty. Am I missing something? It's really strange that they show up online.

Do not know which operating system each machine is, but Windows is more restrictive in terms of file names. See this help article: Error: "Unable to sync files".
Please email me the log files for desktop sync (CoreSync) for both machines at [email protected]
The location for each OS are:
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
Windows: %APPDATA%/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
Note that on Mac OS X to see the user library from the Finder click on the Go menu and hold down the Alt/ Option key. Note that on Windows %APPDATA% is a variable that will change to the correct path depending on if version of Windows being used.

Submit doesn't Work in Reader online, but does on desktop??

HI folks, I had a form that was working online, but now is not (with Reader update? )
If I open the form in Reader 10 on my desktop and click submit, it asks appropriately if I want to use a desktop app or web app.
I have tried using Submit with XFDF ata, FDF and Full PDF but none work online for me or my clients.
I have enabled or extended Rights to Reader under the advanced menu.
Now the problem appears to be related to online viewing with the embedded reader plugin in the browser, which opens the form in a web page. Attempting this in Firefox forces a download, which fixes the problem. So I either need a way to fix this for online viewing or force a download when someone has the browser plugin.
Any suggestions? TIA!!!!

ALSO, if I open it in IE 9, and choose to open the file, it opens in Adobe Digital Editions, and it cannot be modified, the forms cannot be filled out.

Upgraded to FF4, Have windows 7, everytime I click on FF4 to go online, I get pop-up box with error message [Javascript: application] Typeerror: Components.classes[cid] is undefined...when I click OK it lets me online but this is a pain

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Define "doesn't work" - what do you see instead of the expected Flash content?
