Online Certification Authority "Select" greyed out IIS with 2008 R2 PKI

I have built a two tier 2008 R2 PKI with an offline Root CA and an online issuing CA. The domain is a 2008 funtional level.
From a 2008 IIS server on the same domain, I have tried to Create a "Domain Certificate" so I can implement an internally self signed web server. On the first screen, I am able to enter all the details under "Distinguished Name Properties", but when I go
to the next screen, "Online Certificate Authority", the Select button is greyed out next to "specify Online Certifcation Authority" . The only online articles I have found say this indicates that something is wrong with the CA,
but not what.
I have checked everything with PKIview and the CA looks healthy. I have also run the BPA for certifcate services and the BPA for DNS and no problems are shown.
I have checked that the certifcate template for Webservers I have created and looks okay and have been able to manually send a web server request to it on the CA and install it on the webserver.
I am also able to successfully autoenrol user and machine certifcates within the domain and use this for 802.1x Wireless authentication.
Any pointers in would be appreciated

Open Certification Authorities MMC snap-in, expand root node and select Certificate Templates (this node is available on Enterprise CAs only). Click Actions -> All Tasks -> New -> Certificate template to issue.
Note that IIS server *machine* account must have Read and Enroll permissions on this template.

SCUM Selection Greyed Out

Hi all,
I am trying to enable settings in which will allow role assignment in BOTH CUA and child system. Unfortunately, the selection for "Everywhere" is greyed out in SCUA --> Role/Profile tab. In my work environment, there is a need to allow role assignment in both master and child systems. How o I go with this? Couldn't found anything in Notes & SCN. Thank you for all your feedback!

There are a few exceptions in the user APIs for call backs to the CUA even if redistribution and local SCUM is not set. There are also two passive CUA tolerances for CREATE1 and DELETE which redistribute based on authorizations and not CUA settings.
I think we are getting warmer here...
My explanation -> the user was deleted but still had address data and PPOME assignments. PFUD was / is not running. Then the user ID was recreated (intended for a different person?) and saving in SU01 runs PFUD in their release for indirect assignments as well. The user ID is still mapped in Infotype 0105 and reconnects to the HR-OM role which the "person" still has.
The best way to avoid this is by never deleting user IDs (hard to avoid in CUA) and ensuring unique names and authorizing the redistribution user centrally to only do text comparisons.
In the special case of SMSY the user names follow a naming convention, so if CUA is not on the SOLMAN logical system then I authorize the SOLMAN callback user (only) as if it is a client to send the user to the SOLMAN to than the system can be connected. The roles can then either be added manually or via PPOME (which is perhaps what was attempted here).

Trying to sync selected (greyed out) contacts to my replacement 4s. Get error messages - computer not setup to sync - override or OK. OK - session could not start. How do I fix?

I have a new replacement 4s. I am trying to set it up. I hate iCloud but need it to sync my calendar to my phone. I mistakenly set it up to sync Contacts too and found out it synced ALL contacts which I do NOT want. I used to use iTunes to sync only selected contact folders (one I call Sync). Others are too sensitive to have on my phone. So I turned off "where is my iPhone", and turned off "Contacts" on iCloud. It said it would delete all my contacts on my phone the next time I sync (using iTunes). So I try to sync my Contacts using iTunes and find that under "Info" on the device tabs my only possible selection is ALL contacts with the "Selected" button greyed out. But even leaving all checked, I get the message "iTunes cannot sync information with the iPhone because syncing has been disabled on this computer (my Mac). Do you want to enable syncing?" I hit the button "Enable syncing" and I get the error message "Syncing cannot be enabled on this computer" with "Override" and "OK" my choices. If I select "OK" I get the error message "iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone (Name) because a sync session could not be started". I can sync my music and my apps but get this stupid message otherwise. What gives and I do I fix this? Thanks

Actually I can't sync anything - no music, photos, etc. And it tries to start syncing as soon as I plug in my iphone and itunes is open. It ends "sync" but hasn't done anything. I have tried deleting lockdown files (per "solution" found here). I have deleted all my backups (per other "solutions"). I have restored my iphone 2x. I have done soft boots of my iphone. My macbookpro 10.9.3. iphone 7.1.1. iTunes 11.2.2 (3).

Why is Preview selection greyed out in Font Book?

I have a problem with Font Book — not the first.
All my fonts seem to be listed fine, but when I go to the Preview menu, which is currently on the default selection of 'Sample', I cannot select either of the other two options. They are both greyed out. As is 'Show Font Info'. And the related buttons on the menu bar of the Font Book window are also greyed out.
Anyone any idea what the problem might be. Do I have to bin the prefs and start building my font collections yet again?

You need to have either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed to use the Preview PDF feautre. Additionally, the preview pdf feature uses the Internet Explorer plugin, so make sure that is installed and functioning properly.

Why is Merge Selected greyed out?

I am working with a file with many many sub layers and illustrator is running really slow and keeps crashing. I want to merge many of the sublayers into one layer to save space and help simplify the file, But after I select the layers the Merge Selected option under the layers menu is still greyed out and unable to be used. Anyone know how to get merge selected to work? Or any other way to merge layers?

You're not going to like this and your going to respond with a WHAT!? But here goes, the sub layers are already by definition merged they are contain within a top level layer.
There can be no merging since they already are merged.
Top level layers on the other hand cane be along with their sub layers.
That's it.

[PS CC] Greyed Out filters with SmartObject's Channel. Bug?

Using Photoshop CC I cannot apply any filter to a converted layer into a Smart Object if I select only a channel instead of RGB channel
Let me explain it with an example:
I create a new layer.
Convert it into smart layer (vía menu Filters > Convert… or secondary clic hover the layer, it doesn't matter).
Select only one channel, p.e. green channel.
Try to apply a filter… oh, wait!
They all appears greyed out
This NOT happens in previous versions of PS, like CS6 or CS5. Neither if I select RGB channel.
Note: It happens on 8 bits or 16 bits.
Is this a bug? Are there a different way to do it?

While previous version of PS may have allowed you to select one channel then apply a filter, the filter was still applied to all the channels, and not just the one selected - just tested this on CS6. So it looks like the previous version actually had the bug, and now it's fixed.

Fine Art paper selection greyed out.

I am using PS5 with a MAcBook Pro (OS_X 10.7.5) with an Epson 3880 printer. The paper selection menu greys out Fine Art papers. I need to use those papers. Don't know how to fix this. Need help.

The selection of media type is tied to the paper feed path...some media such as fine art watercolor needs to be maunally fed. Once you select a manual feed path you should be able to access the fine art paper selections.

Trim to selection greyed out

Hello,
I have a slideshow of a hundred or so photos. I'm trying to shorten some of the photos to specific lengths to match with background music. I've been trying to do this by selecting an individual clip (so the yellow border appears around the clip) and then moving the slider so that the clip is shorter. When I try to trim it, however, "Trim to Selection (Command-B)" is greyed out. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You can change between seconds:tenths of seconds and seconds:frames in iMovie/Preferences.
You can move the end of the clip with video, because you are picking a frame. In a still, there is only one frame....and a duration.
One idea: Is your music at a constant tempo? You can count the beats per minute, and translate that into the duration you need for each picture.

Event selection greyed out

I have a strange problem - I have been creating dynamic forms in Designer with a script on the layout:ready event for custom page numbering. Until now, this has worked fine, but a form created yesterday in the same way has all the event options greyed out, so I cannot add the scripts! Any ideas why that is. The form is set as dynamic, flows correctly and has been saved as a dynamic form.
Any help much appreciated.

You need to select a control on the form to get the events activated.

Ichat selections greyed out.

I am starting using ichat. Thought I had it set up properly but when I try to add buddies as instructed the all selections in the buddies menu are greyed out.
I tried this suggestion from a discussion forum:
choose iChat > Preferences, and then click Accounts.Close iChat.
Go to Library -> Preferences and find the com.apple.iChat files. Delete all of them. Start up iChat again...
It didn't work. Almost all sugestions in all the menues are greyed out, including preferences.
Any ideas?

With the AIM Buddy List there are issues if you Add a Buddy and add his Real Name (as if to give him an Address Book Entry) when they are already in the Address Book.
Is that what you are doing here ?
Also go to iChat > Preferences > Accounts and for the Screen name in Question go to the Security tab and check the Block List has not go this Buddy and he is in Any Allow List you are using.
On the file sending front is this to a Jabber Server that allows files ending ?
Is it the same Buddy even ?
Or is it more general ?

Edit Functions, including Trim to Selection, Greyed Out

I have Quicktime Pro but despite this the menu items Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete and Trim to Selection, all under Edit, are always greyed out. I have tried setting a selection using In and Out markers and still none of those functions works. All other aspects of Pro do work, however. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

You're doing nothing "wrong".
QuickTime Pro can not edit files that are in MPEG (1 or 2) formats.
You'll need third party software to convert the files. MPEG Streamclip is one for the Mac OS.

Iphoto has greyed out events with 0 photos

Perhaps this is baby steps but I've got istream up and running on my macbook air.
At the moment I have pictures taken in November which have events that are greyed out and say 0 photos. When I click on them the photos appear but I don't know how to make sure that they are going to stay? Have I exceeded the 30 day stream time but I these are in the last 1000 photos? If so, what to do to bring them in permanently?
My next step is to break down my huge library on my old mac and bring it over here and pitch it. That library is more than 60GB so I will want to move the meta data and whatever labeling etc I have done on my old iphoto. I tried file export but I lose the event clustering so I think I have to chop it up into little libraries and then move those over. I don't have a need to merge libraries after that.
Am I making sense?

Firefox greys out McAfee with a ? beside it. running OS Windows 8 some programmes stop working

I loaded the upgrade to windows 8 and 4 days later McAfee disappeared after I tried to open it, McAfee logged onto my computer and got it running again but the next day it happened again. The first time nothing would work I tried to down load McAfee use one key recovery to no avail. The second time I managed to recover McAfee and slowly got every thing working except McAfee, it has a greyed out button in the bottom right hand corner. McAfee tried to correct it but told me one of their senior techs would have to look at it, and I am still waiting.
It seems to happen more if I am going into Gmail

LOV selection greyed out

I have a LOV set up on a form - but the description returned and displayed is greyed out, which makes it almost invisible.
It seems to be an Internet Explorer issue as firefox displays ok.
Is there a way of making the font bold for the returned value from a LOV?
I am using the 24. cloudy theme if that makes a difference.
