Online Defragmentation Not completing

I am running exchange 2007 and have noticed that online defragmentation is not completing during the default allocated time of 1-5 am. My current database is around 50GB and for the past couple of weeks it always stops at 4:59:59 and states that it will
resume during the next maintenance window (event id 704). I also receive event id 9871 at the same time stating that there is an online maintenance overlap, but the only other database that I have is the public database which is very small and it always completes.
I can see from my SAN view that the IOPS are consistent during this maintenance window and then drop at 4:59. Do I need to extend the maintenance window? Thanks.

I would.  What I usually recommend is to schedule for the time backups aren't running outside of business hours during the week but then schedule it for the full time from Friday night to Monday morning.  That ought to be long enough for it
to complete at least once a week.

  • Checkpoint not complete & more online redo groups

    Hi
When i doing a import i found in alert log checkpoint not complete.I am planning to add 2 more groups.TO add online redolog groups & and to take affect in database, whether we need to shutdown the database and restart again.
If i have to shutdown the db i have to restart the import again? or already inserted half no of records if i give ignore=y indexes=n whether the existing data in table and indexes will bypass?.I am importing 1 big table only already created indexes.
    With regards
    Ramya

A shutdown is not required. The steps are detailed
    in the docs:

Trying to upgrade AIR as have been having issues with Windows 7 after installing th 2014 Jaqui Lawson Advent calendar.  (Windows will not shut down using Shutdown button, and Ctrl-Alt-Del does not bring up task manager anymore). Have a look through the pages of pages of requests for help on installing Adobe Air apps on Windows 7 machines. What you'll find is that Adobe has duped a lot of people into doing basic testing on a vehicle that it should have tested thoroughly itself before release. So you'll find lengthy, highly technical and apparently idiosyncratic install logs posted, and then every once in a while Chris Campbell, Adobe's rep, comes online and says something like "Ho Hum. It doesn't seem to work. What you need to do is stand on your head while drinking a gallon of gasoline and singing through your ears. Why don't you spend another 20 hours trying that?"
Amazing. Could you imagine a supposedly legitimate company jerking people like this 50 years ago?
Don't waste your time. Air doesn't work. Find an alternative to Adobe products instead.
I wonder how long this will stay posted before somebody removes it.
    Hello,
I understand the frustration, believe me, I really do.  Unfortunately, while we do thoroughly test installers we do run into system specific issues from time to time.  I do my best to help users, going out of my way to do desktop sharing sessions (at all times of the day and night to accomidate our global user base), creating repair scripts, etc.  But you are correct, sometimes it does get technical and we do require the installer log to figure out what might be failing.  I apologize if I wasn't able to solve your problem in the past, if you can point me to a post where I didn't follow through I'd be happy to re-read it and see if we can make progress.
I promise I won't remove your post, I just ask that you keep the responses polite and try not to get personal.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Installation not complete

I am trying to install Solaris 10 on AMD XP processor.
My problem is the installation is not complete. Means, after booting from CD 1 everthing works well, installation program reboots and after rebooting prompts for CD 2. First time it was thorough with CD 2 and in CD 3 after finishing 36% the system hangs. I had to switch of the machine. After rebooting, it prompts for CD 3 again, I say SKIP., then it goes for CD 4 but again it hangs after 55 % of CD 4.
I just don't understand why this happens. I had allocated about 30 GB for solaris partition. I have 1GB RAM.

Thanks for letting me know Hkitty .
I don't believe it would be a issue with the PDF, since you can't print from Word either.
You can always restore your computer back to a earlier time when everything was working properly.
    System Restore for Windows 7.
Here are a couple more things you can check first, if you like.
Print a configuration page to get the printer's IPv4 address.
    Printing a Configuration Report.
If you have a valid IP address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)
If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.
Power cycle the router, computer and printer.
Check the port assigned to the printer on the computer.
Go to Start, Devices and Printers, right click the printer and left click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
It should be checked on TCP/IP.
Then click on Configure Port to view the IP address.
If the IP address doesn't match the printer's IPv4, then create a new port with the new IPv4 address.
    Close the configure port window.
Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
Make sure the printer is online.
    Try printing again.
Please let me know the results.
    Thank You.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos Thumbs Up" on the right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

  • Could not complete the camera raw command because of disk error

    Hi,
First off, I am using a Mac (OS X ver. 10.9.2) and Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop (2014). I just downloaded the preset pack off VSCO for Adobe Camera RAW and I am having trouble getting it to work.
When I try to launch the "Camera Raw Filter", I get the message 'Could not complete the Camera Raw Filter command because of a disk error.' (this also happens sometimes when i try to import the RAW files into photoshop...I don't know if it's the way i'm importing them or what...?)
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing photoshop cc several times and restarting my computer and have searched online but cannot find anything at all to help me (or i just don't understand, urgh).
    Please help!

I'm getting same error and I think it's related to Adobe Camera Raw.  I see several manifestations of this problem:
    1) Open a RAW file (.NEF) directly using Photoshop CC 2014 - I get an error "Could not complete your request because of a disk error."
    2) In Photoshop CC 2014.  I go to Filter > Camera Raw Filter - I get an error "Could not complete the Camera Raw Filter command because of a disk error."
I can do the following successfully:
    1) Open and edit a RAW file successfully in Lightroom 5.7
    2) Open a RAW file successfully in Photoshop from Lightroom 5.7 (when I do an "Edit in Photoshop CC 2014" from Lightroom 5.7)
I was previously on LR3 and Photoshop CS5 on Mac OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and bought an upgraded MacBook Pro last week.
    My upgraded system is now:
    Mac OSX 10.10.1 (Yosemite)
    Photoshop CC 2014
    Lightroom 5.7
I've uninstalled / reinstalled Photoshop and Lightroom numerous times and the problem still occurs.
Anyone else having the same problem?

  • HT3275 For the past several days, I have been getting this message during backups: Time Machine could not complete the back up.  The backup disk image "Volumes/Data/iMac.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error-1).

For the past several days, I have been getting this message during backups:
Time Machine could not complete the back up.  The backup disk image "Volumes/Data/bhoppy2's iMac.sparsebundle" could not be accessed (error-1).  When I click on the 'help' icon on the message, it reverts to a blank page, and I cannot find anything online regarding the term 'sparsebundle.'  In addition, I cannot access previous backups any longer.

  • How do I fix Camera Raw in CS6? I get "Could not complete request because the file was not found"

How do I fix my Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6? I tried to view an NEF file in CS6, but it said I had to update my Camera Raw to 7.3 (I had 7.0). I went online and the only thing I could find was to download 8.6 so I started with that, and installed something and it didn't work, and then it told me I couldn't download 8.6 because my OS X is not 10.7 ( I have 10.6.8). Now when I go back into photoshop it gives me this error "Could not complete request because the file was not found" and I cant open any jpegs in photoshop.  I have tried shutting down my computer, deleting caches, and uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling it. Still no luck. Any idea how I can fix this?

Follow these instructions to manually update your ACR plug-in to ACR 8.3, which was the last version compatible with your OS:

  • Photoshop cs3 "could not complete your request because of a program error"

I have PS cs3 on powerpc mac ox 10.5.8, and have been using it for 3 years
or so perfectly. I started getting the "could not complete your request
because of a program error" when I was trying to open an ai eps (like I've
done before about 1000 times). Now, every time I open any file, I get this
    error.
I removed everything PS cs3 from my computer (with the install disk) and
clean installed the program (after just throwing out the prefs, settings,
rebooting w/command/option, etc.). and now, same thing.
I called adobe support, and he said to go online, so here I am - wits end.
    1. why do you think this happened initially and still (seems to be related
to fonts or the type tool because of error right away when I click that)?
    2. what can I look for other than the prefs/settings that could be causing
    it?
    3. how do I fix it?
    thanks for your help,
    dan ([email protected])

Thanks, but I found that this worked in another post below:
I think it was a font issue, so I cleaned out some otf and ITC TT fonts (from Classic era)
and Deleted ~/Library/Caches/Adobe folder  - think this is the key!
restarted PS and it's working now!
    thanks!
    Happy Macing

Re: "Could not complete your request because of a program error"
FWIW, I just fixed this problem (I think) with the following:
    Quit PS
Moved Stone Sans OS ITC TT out of the /Library/Fonts/ folder
Moved Stone Sans OS ITC TT out of the ~/Library/Fonts/ folder
    Deleted ~/Library/Caches/Adobe folder
    Restarted PS

  • Windows could not complete the installation recovery error message with HP recovery discs

While doing a system recovery on an HP G72-b50US notebook using HP purchased recovery DVD's, the reboot "Welcome" screen always (tried 5 recovery attempts from scratch) generates the error message "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on theis compuiter, restart the installation". any attempt at a reboot, even into safe mode, regenerates this same error message. How does this get fixed to allow completion of the installation process?

I wish I could tell you.
I also used the HP factory recovery disks on an 8200 Elite CMT. I used them once before with no problem.
The second time was a show-stopper. The recovery process would ask for all 4 disks, then the recovery installation would begin, reboot continue on, everything normal.
Then on the last reboot, when the recovery program stated it was configuring windows, it just quit and stated Windows could not complete the installation.
I made sure that I had absolutely nothing connected to the PC except the keyboard, mouse and monitor.
The only thing I can possibly think of was that I installed a Radeon HD 6570 video card which I replaced the Radeon HD 6350 card with. However, both cards are supported in the PC, and I cannot remember if I did the restore with the 6350 the last time or the 6570.
Now, the reason the ISO file will work is because this is a plain and simple Microsoft Windows 7 ISO file--the very same one that you download when you purchase W7 online from the very same download site.
It is not PC-specific and will install on any PC in the world.
A recovery disk is PC-specific, and is a very complicated mish-mash of programs, drivers, operating system, all customized for your specific model PC.  Even something like installing a new hard drive or memory can foul up the works.
The downside of using the plain MS disk is the only programs and drivers you can install are the ones found on your notebook's support and driver page.
The upside of using the plain W7 installation, is you normally end up with a better performing PC, free of bloatware and unnecessary running processes.
For someone like me, it is a non-issue, but for others, they may miss some of the included software.
But that is better than having a computer that is of no value with no operating system installed, wouldn't you agree?

  • "could not complete your request because the disk is full"

I have Photoshop Elements 3 on an older desktop I use for editing photos. Yesterday, I tried to pull up a photo from my connected camera to the PE3 window and got the following error mesaage instead: "could not complete your request because the disk is full."
I have researched the Online help and Forum but can not seem to find a solution to this problem. I have gone through the Edit -> Preferences -> Memory & Image Cache, I have reset all the options there, increased the memory available to PE3 and, have uninstalled and re-installed the program without luck. I also deframented my unit but the issue persists. I now find that I also can not load photos that are already saved on my hard drive as well.
I am running a P4 system with 1GB of RAM, 52GB of free space, and XP Pro. The only changes made to this unit recently is the installation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. I would greatly appreciate any insight I can get on this problem. Thanks.

Are you able to get the files on to your hard drive using a card reader? You can the use the Organizer menu, File à Get Photos à from Files & Folders.
The only other suggestion I can make is to try closing other processes running in the background. You do that by launching the task manager (press Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
Go to the processes tab and then highlight individual programs and tasks and hit the end process button. Then launch Elements again. Also try temporarily disabling your internet security and see if that makes any difference.

  • Checkpoint not complete in alert log file Oracle 11gR2 RAC

    Hi,
I found checkpoint not complete in alert log file, almost every 3 seconds .
In metalink i saw for this error, archive_lag_target=0, already this value was set to 0 in my database.
We have 7 redo log groups for each instance, each group is of two redo log files, each file size is 50m.
To avoid this error what i need to do..........
    please help me..................

When you "checkpoint not complete" messages in your alert log this normally means your online redo logs are defined too small to handle the load and you have filled and need to switch to a new online redo log before the checkpoint triggered by the previous log switch has been completed.
Increasing your online redo log size is normally the fix for this.

Please kindly give your valuable suggestions.
    Regards,

    Reddy,
1.You need to proceed with solutions with Checkpoint not complete warning.Like increase size or add more groups.
2.Yes you can operate redologfiles with sqlplus or best one brttols or BRGUI.
    Do with BRTools.

  • Cannot allocate new log&Private strand flush not complete

There are two Oracle10g(10.2.0.5) Database running on SUN M5000(SPARC64 VII 2.53 GHz Quad-Core Processors*4/32GB Memory).
The first Oracle10g DB is running with 8GB SGA and 1GB PGA, the second Oracle10g DB is runing with 7GB SGA and 2GB PGA.
We encountered a issue on the second Oracle DB. When we manually switch the online redo logs with an alter system command as below.
    SQL> alter system switch logfile;
The Alert log will display the following messages:
Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence xxx
Private strand flush not complete .
All other Oracle10g DB will not occur "Private strand flush not complete" messages except for the second Oracle10g DB. I want to know the detail reason.
I also saw two Doc ID:[ID 372557.1] and [ID 435887.1] from Oracle Metalink. But I am not satisfacted with what they wrote.
My last target to resolve the issue.

then 11g upgrade is 100% successfully completed, to verify the export on 11g ,i thought to take logical backup of my 2 database's
