Online, not sharing location

After allowing access among family members for devices for use with Find My iPhone family shared devices are displayed for a day or two then the devices are indicated as "online, not sharing location". If access is turned on again it works for at least a day or days after which family shared devices again show as "online not sharing location".  This seems to have happened at some point after one of the earlier  IOS 8 updates. The devices shared are iPhones and iPads.

This issue may have gone away with IOS 8.3, it has not been a problem for at least a week......

  • Find my iPhone app. "Online, not sharing location"

II've no issues with this app. Then last week my daughters phone saU.S. "online, not sharinh location." Im confused. I've seen it say "offline" or "location not available" but i can't figure how to fix "online, not sharing location."

the gsm satellites require a line of sight like a tv sat disc inside under thick walls it can't get a fix with the satellites and if the carrier or wifi network it's connected to can't provide a location, no location can be provided

  • I cannot locate my MacBook Pro from my apple devices. It shows Online, not sharing location. How do I change this?

Is there a setting that will allow me to find my MacBook Pro.

Call Apple support.  they'll straighten it ou.

  • 11.1.2.3 multiple node install, not using a shared location for HTTP config files

I finished, as best as I could a three server install of 11.1.2.3; foundation server with Workspace, R&A, EPMA, Essbase tools, an Essbase only server, and a Planning server.  I did not use a 'sharedlocation (Advanced link in HTTP screen) for the servers.  My question is; 'What needs to be done to complete the configuration, as Planning Administration does not show up in Workspace?'  It is possible to re-configure HTTP to a 'sharedLocation' after the install and config tasks are done?
    Thanks,

You can configure the OHS shared location at any point
    Cheers

  • Find My Friends stuck not sharing my location

After updating from iphone 5s on IOS 7 to iphone 6 on IOS 8, Find My Friends is stuck not sharing my location.
    I can see others
    I can see MY location
"ME" at the bottom shows "Location Services Off"
    Location Services ARE on
I CAN share my location in an iMessage
Clicking "me" in FMF shows the "Share my location" slider as enabled, but grayed out so I cannot change it.
Caveat: I think I did have my location disabled before upgrading.

    On iOS 8.1:
    -Settings > Privacy > Location Services >
          ‘Location Services’ set to ‘ON’
-Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Share My Location >
‘Share My Location’ set to ‘ON’
          ‘From’ set to ‘This Device’
-Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services >
‘Share My Location’ set to ‘ON’

  • How do I stop this please You are not sharing your location. Sharing your location helps provide searches that are geographicaly closer to you

When I go to this website it's giving me this
You are not sharing your location. Sharing your location helps provide searches that are geographicaly closer to you
This pops up how do I stop it there is NO x
    Thank you

You can set the default setting for Share Location for all sites on the about:permissions page.
The about: protocol is used to access special built-in pages.<br />
You can open built-in about: pages via the location bar like you open a web page and in most cases you see a special orange Firefox icon on the location bar.

  • A Global Catalog Server could not be located - All GC's are down SBS 2011

I have been searching through these forums and manage to find similar errors but am struggling to find an answer that applies to this me.
I seem to be having a number of issues with our SBS. I believe this was originally domain was previously on a SBS 2003 box before being moved to this SBS 2011 box last year, it has been running fine until yesterday. I cant see anything that has changed then
    though.
Everything seems to point to DNS although I am struggling to pinpoint the actual cause. The most worrying is when I try to open something on the SBS such as AD sites and services.
    the error is
Active Directory Domain Services - Naming information cannot be located because: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Contact your system administrator to verify that your domain is properly configured and
    is currently online.

I found a few people who have had similar issues that was caused by the "netlogon" service being paused or stopped but in my case it is set to automatically start and is running.
I have also posted this to serverfault  (cant post links yet serverfault.com/questions/522691/a-global-catalog-server-could-not-be-located-all-gcs-are-down) added as there may be info there that may help.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, hopefully someone out there has come across this before or can offer something in regards to the next steps I should take.

    Some troubleshooting ideas:
    0. Check if the DCs can resolve each other using their DNSHostName. If not, this indicates some DNS misconfiguration
-- you need to fix that first.
    1. Check if the both the DCs are pointing to the same DNS server (or DNS servers that are replica of each
other). Run: "ipconfig /all" and check its output. If not, correct the DNS client settings and run dcdiag after sometime.
    2. Check if dynamic updates are "turned on" on the DNS server.
    3. Try re-registering the DCs SRV records by either restarting netlogon service or by running the following
    command:
         nltest.exe /dsregdns

    2. Check if dynamic updates are "turned on" on the DNS server.
    3. Try re-registering the DCs SRV records by either restarting netlogon service or by running the following
    command:
         nltest.exe /dsregdns

  • Ntoskrnl.ExiAcquireFastMutex could not be locat

I installed the X-FI Extreme Music board and drivers and all went fine.
I even went online and verified the drivers were up to date (by the Device Manager
    Update Driver utility)
When I installed the software that came with the
sound card (the Sound Blaster CD) it was going well until I received the following message:
    RegPLIB.exe? Entry Point Not Found
    The procedure entry point
in the dynamic link library HAL.dll
The only option was to click "OK" but the complete computer was hung and I had to pull the
plug to make it restart. When it restarted ALL the updates INCLUDING Vista Service Pack was no
    longer installed.
My System Details: Dell Optiplex 755 OS: Vista Ultimate 32 RAM: 4 Gig
    Please Help Me.
I have done this twice now and am afraid to go any further until I resolve this issue.
Basically, my new computer is a paperweight.
Thank you in advance for your time.

HELP!! I'm trying to reinstall my iTunes BUT keep getting this---iTunes.exe-entry point not found-the procedure entry point AVCPlayerSuppliesMediaSe;ectopmCriteriaAutomaticallKey Could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFFoundationCF.dll.
That one can be produced if you have an older version of Apple Application Support on the PC than is required by iTunes version 11.1.4.62. (The required version of Apple Application Support is included in the standard iTunes installers, but for some reason it hasn't been updating properly for some folks.)
Let's try updating your Apple Application Support to version 3.0 by doing a standalone Apple Application Support install.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, can you launch iTunes without the error now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Oci connection-entry point kpufhndl0 could not be located

    hi
    i use jdev 10.1.3.3 & 10g.
a thin connection to db works fine, but i have to use an oci connection which i fail to set.
i've edited jdev.conf file as described here: http://www.oracle.com/webapps/online-help/jdeveloper/10.1.2/state/content/navId.4/navSetId._/vtTopicFile.db%7Ccdb_rconnectionreqsoci~html/
and added AddNativeCodePath pointing to oracle installation directory.
but an attempt to test a connection returns an error saying "The procedure entry point kpufhndl0 could not be located in the dynamic link library OCI.dll".
i've found a post saying that this issue has been solved by placing jdbc:oracle:oci:@host:port:sid in jdbc custom url field of db settings. not i my case, i'm getting the same error.
    any thoughts?
    thanks a lot!

  • Getting error: "The ordinal 449179364 could not be located in the dynamic link library WINMM.dll"

So when I start rendering a video, I get the message:
"The ordinal 449179364 could not be located in the dynamic link library WINMM.dll."
This is followed by a "transcoder error" message, and then an application crash.  I looked for WINMM.dll, and found it here:
    C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-audio-mmecore-base_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385 _none_b5b6125db303b0f8
Has anyone encountered this before, or found a solution?
    Many thanks.

When sharing burn the project to a Folder rather than Disk. Does this complete? If so use something like ImgBurn to write your DVD from that folder.
What brand of disk are you using (ImgBurn can tell you)?
You seem to have covered many of the basics, but here is my usual list (I don't recall seeing you mention your graphic/sound drivers). It will be handy to see the Gspot analysis.
    Some basics:
    Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.7 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
    Run Disk Cleanup.
    Run Defragmenter.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.
Use the GSpot Codec Information Utility to analyse the file and post screen image.
Post back here with the necessary information described here: Got a Problem? How to Get Started

  • IPhoto not sharing metadata

I noticed that iPhoto on my iPad yesterday has been 'upgraded' to a new version.
Unfortunately, I've noticed that it is no longer sharing location data to Flickr (even though the 'share location' option is enabled in settings). Is this a bug? If so, I hope Apple remedy it soon as it's very irritating having to add the location manually to Flickr and makes a nonsense of having GPS data already in the photo.
I wonder if GPS is the only bit of metadata not being shared?

I noticed this same issue, doesn't seem to matter whether I upload through iPhoto or the photos app, the metadata isn't shared. When I email the file to myself from iPhoto using the original size the metadata _is_ preserved. I've checked and I have the flag set for sharing so I assume it's a bug

Do a clean (re)install and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 8.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version if possible.
*Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Extract Query Data to a Shared Location

    Hi,
I need to extrcat BW query data to a shared location (e.g.,
server\folder\file) in the form of a flat file. I know how to extract the query data till application server. I can also do it directly using an APD. But I need to extract it on a daily basis and APD is not allowing to schedule it in the background. It allows only direct execution. Can anyone know how to do this.
    Regards,
    Bharat

    Hi,
Use RSCRM_BAPI and then schedule the job...I'm following the same method.
