Online number call forwarding issues

Hello all,
I live in Taiwan, and I just recently purchased an online (United States) number (where I have an unlimited subcription to landlines and cell phones), so I could get my phone calls forwarded to my cell phone in Taiwan, however, after setting up Skype's forwarding service, my call are not being forwarded to my Taiwanese cell phone.
Do I need to purchase a Taiwan subscription as well in order for my phone calls to be forwarded to my cell phone?
Thank you.

You will need to get skype credit or a mobile subscription for Taiwan to forward to your Taiwanese cell phone. Here is another solution. I use Kall8 it is a call forwarding service with a 800 type number. The forward to a Taiwan cell looks like .70 cents a minute. You need to do some research and find which one is cheaper. It cost $2.00  a month plus the call fees. I have used it all over the world with no problem.

Thank You!

Could you please help me on this:
I have two online number say it Number1 & Number2. I have an option to selected one of this number as caller ID. I use both the numbers for two different purpose.
If a person calls back Number1 and if I am not available to answer this should reach skype voicemail.
If a person calls back Number2 and if I am not available it should be forwarded to my mobile number.
    Is this settings possible?
    Could someone please enlight me.
    Thanks,
    Prakash

Yes, it do mean so and, to do call forwarding to your phone, you need Skype Credit or Monthly Plan.

  • Using U.S. Skype online number and forwarding to F...

Hello, I am a U.S. citizen but will be living in France for four months. I need to be able to effectively be in touch with business and family back in the U.S.
What I'm planning on doing is purchasing a prepaid SIM from Orange or another French carrier. Incoming calls from French numbers are free, so I was wondering if Skype would be able to fill in the gaps. If I were to get a U.S. Skype online number, is there a way where I could forward the calls directly to my French prepaid number?
Thank you in advance. I apologize if this has already been repeatedly answered. I used to be on top of all of Skype's offerings, but since the Microsoft takeover, I'm confused.

forwarding your US Skype Number to a French mobile number will require you to have adequate Skype Credit (or possibly a subscription) to cover the cost of the forwarded calls
you can forward your US Skype Number to a French mobile number in your account settings at www.skype.com

how is an online number displayed on caller id when I call someone

    rickytruth wrote:
I just called myself with my online number and noticed the number showing up in the caller id, was a completley different number. When I call back the number that shows up in the caller id I get an out of service message. How do I get this corrected?
My current number is: *removed for privacy*
The Number Showing up in Caller ID is: *removed for privacy*
Since those numbers were removed by a moderator, I can offer a general answer.  Assuming your Online Number is from one of these countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US), you should be able to set it for Caller ID.  Log into your Skype account using the "Account" link at the top of this page.  You should then see your account, including Caller ID settings.  If you don't see your Online Number for your Caller ID, click on the link to change that.  You would then be able to select the number, and save the change.
Even with this, there is a possibility that the telephone carrier(s) used to connect your calls from Skype to a telephone number won't pass your Caller ID information along.  This would be outside of Skype's control.  You can at least make sure you have the number showing up in your account's Caller ID settings, which should take care of the issue you mentioned.

  • Online number called ID disclosure

I registered online number (Finland number).
I want to show caller ID (same Finland number), but when i am going to disclosure it, then system wants me to insert number where skype can send SMS with confirmation code.
Irony is that if i am going to insert my online finland number, then it cant receive SMS and i can not confirm the caller ID disclosure.
But when i am going to insert my Estonian mobile number then i can receive confirmation SMS, but the problem is that when I call trough skype then it doesnt show online finland number, it shows my Estonian mobile number.
I want that people can see my online Finland number not my Estonian mobile phone number. How to solve this problem?
    Waiting your reply.

It is possible that the Online Numbers from Finland can't be used as Caller ID with Skype.  There are some countries where that is the case, and I personally know of two (Australia, Mexico).  If you go into your Skype program, or log into your account on the Skype web site, you should be able to see what numbers you have available to use as Caller ID.  If your Finland number is not listed there, then it can't be used.

  • Called Party Number when Forwarded Issue

We have upgraded to 7.1 and our users have alerted us to something interesting and annoying.
    It appears that the Called Number/Name is retained on the Calling Party phone even when the Called Number is;
Picked Up within a Pickup Group
    Forwards on Busy/No Reply
    Is Transferred to another phone
This is causing confusion for our users who are used to seeing the called number/name change when it is directed to another phone.
I am thinking that this could be a bug in CUCM 7.1, I have had a search for any parameter that is new as this was the default behaviour with our previous versions 5.1, 6.0, 6.1 and 7.0.
I have rebooted our Publisher and 2 x Subscribers as a basic measure to see if this restores the logic but the issue still persists.
Has anyone else encountered this on their CUCM?
    Regards Kim

    I found the answer;
Service Parameters => Publisher => Cisco CallManager
    Clusterwide Parameters (Device - General)
Always Display Original Dialed Number Required Field*
This was a parameter I have never had to alter in previous versions of CUCM and may be new, I am not sure, setting this to False solves the issue.

  • Weird call forwarding issue when phone off PBX is on call forward.

Hello - have (2) 3600 series routers connected to pbx's doing toll bypass, T1 on one side E1 on the other. All calls work ok and voice quaility is good however when a user on the PBX behind the E1 puts his phone on forward the call fails with a fast busy type of error (actually it rings once then fails) ISDN debugs yield:Cause i = 0x81E020 - Mandatory information element missing then the router disconnects the call.

The 'debug isdn q931' command, shows the call progress and the areas of problems. Sometimes the call fails due to a timer expiration. In the debug command output, the time period from when the call proceeding flows until the call fails, gives a guideline for the amount of time required to complete a call connection. The workaround is to wind out timers, which allow the call setup enough time to complete the connection.

  • Call Forwarding with Online Number

Can I get skype online number and forward call to my phone in India?
As if someone calls skype online number his call can be answered at my India Mobile or Phone.
    Is this possible?

I contacted Skype some months ago about this issue they said if you have a Subscription if it's covered under your subscription (for example calls to the US & Canada unlimited) and make a call on skype it will be covered.
I don't have the email or lost it somewhere as it's months old but basically that's what it says.

  • Online Number isn't showing up on people's caller ...

Is there any way to fix this?  My online number works because I recently paid for it and it expires May 20.
I know the number works because when I call myself, it rings but displays the "unkown number" problem.
Let me know if there's a way to solve this please.

Update on this issue. I had another support chat:
    ... (me)
Hi, My Online Number Caller ID shows up when the call is received on a mobile phone, but not on a BT landline (in the UK). My Online Number area code is Cambridge (01223) - is it possible Caller ID would work with BT if the Online Number area code was a different area, like London (020)?
    ... (support)
If caller ID isn’t displaying, it’s possible caller ID isn’t supported by the local telecommunication provider for the country you are calling. Caller ID is passed along with a call, from Skype through the local telephone companies, up to the mobile or landline number you dialled. If one of the links in the chain does not support caller ID properly, a default number or no number at all will be displayed instead. In most countries, caller ID is supported by the local providers and the number should display as normal. However, there are a few countries where caller ID can be less reliable or it does not work at all.
    ... (support)
Thank you for waiting. Upon checking this. We the Online Number is currently not supported in BT landlines. We are currently working with the providers so that we can provide our services to most of our clients across the globe. We understand the inconveniece this have cause and we apologize for this. We thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to make Skype even better.
    ... (me)
Thanks. When will Caller ID work with BT landlines?
... (support)I cannot guarantee a specific time, but we're working on it. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
    ... (me)
Please escalate this issue. In the UK, BT has 15.8 million landline customers. Sype Online Number in the UK is useless for business until Caller ID works.

can I purchase an online number & have calls forwarded to my mobile?
If so, will callers pay local rate charges?
Do I need to have the Skype app installed on my phone in order to recieve the calls? (I do have it installed, but it really drains my battery)
Would be be able to see who is calling and which number they're calling (my mobile number or the 'online number')?
    Hi,
Here are the answers to your questions:
    1. You can forward Online Number calls to your mobile:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/features/allfeatures/call-forwarding/
    2. Callers pay local rates if Online Number is local to them. Online Number acts like a regular landline number and people calling this number will get charged the same way as they would call regular landline in that area/country. Keep in mind that for call forwarding to your mobile number you will be charged. It would be the same if you call your mobile from your Skype account.
    3. If you forward calls to your mobile number, then you don't need Skype on your phone.
    4. You should be able to see who is calling. Skype should forward caller ID as well if it is enabled by caller. As you know not everybody has their caller ID visible when making calls.
    I hope this helps.
    Andre

With Online Numbers, receiving calls on them using Skype is free.  You would only have to purchase Skype Credit or a subscription if you used Call Forwarding to divert calls to a telephone number.
If you purchase a UK Online Number, calls from them to your Online Number would be billed the same way as calling a non-Skype landline number in the same area.  It may be a local call, or - at most - a domestic long-distance call in the UK.  This sounds like the better way to go, as those UK contacts would have to pay for an international call if you had a Mexican Online Number for them to ring you on.  Again, it would cost you nothing to receive the call in Skype, but callers would pay whatever their telephone carrier charges to make a call to that location.
Now if you had people in Mexico who also needed to reach you via telephone, you could purchase a UK and a Mexican Online Number.  You can have up to 10 Online Numbers on a single Skype account.  I have numbers in these two countries, along with the USA and Australia.  Then people in those countries are either making a local call (possibly a free local call) or no worse than a domestic long-distance call to reach me.  Or they can use Skype, and it would be a free call on both ends.

  • Call forwarding ios 8

I just upgraded to the iPhone 6 from the iPhone 5s and while all is working well, I can not get call forwarding to turn on no matter how many times I try.   This function didn't change, so is it broke?   I am using AT&T like I did on the 5s...thoughts?

I ended up going through my company to officially upgrade my phone, and they sent me a new iPhone 6.  I had the same call forwarding issue with this new phone until I called AT&T and had them activate the new SIM card that came with the new phone.  The issue appeared to only occur with my old SIM in the new phone (while it continued to work in the old iPhone 5).
Now that the new SIM is active in the new iPhone 6, call forwarding works as expected.  It appears to be something tying the SIM to the phone, so maybe it’s an AT&T issue?  Anyway, good to know if someone else thinks it’s just the same using their old SIM in their new iPhone 6 on AT&T’s network.

  • Online Number is not forwarding calls to my mobile

    Hi,
I have gone premium and selected unlimited landline for Australia. I have then bought an Online Australian Number. After setting up call forward to my Indian Mobile Number the calls are not getting forwarded, although the calls appear on Skype Client when I'm online. I have tried setting privacy and all that stuff, but it yet does not work. In the Call Forward tab following message is displayed: "All calls forwarded to phones covered by your subscription are included at no extra cost. Other destinations will be charged at our low per minute rates."
Am I missing something? Do I still need to buy credit? Thanks so much,
    Kind Regards
    Prabh

    Hello,
Skype Number enables you to receive calls on your Skype account and the caller will be charged local rates.
To receive calls to your Skype Number, you should be online on your Skype application, or you can enable call forwarding and voice messaging. And also, please make sure that you are signed in to only one device.
Please make sure that you have set up your Privacy Settings to "Received calls from anyone."
    Sign in to Skype.
    Tap the menu icon .
    Select Settings.
Go to Receive calls from option.

  • Cancelling online number but want call forwarding

    Hi,
I have a Skype online number that is about to expire. I don't really need this number anymore, so I don't want to renew my subscription. However, I don't want someone calling the number I used to have and receving a "this number does not exist." Is there an option to forward the calls that are made to my Skype number to my cell phone/landline, even if I don't have the number anymore?
    Thanks for your help!
(The account I am writing this with is not the account that I have the online number for)

The only way you can control what happens to calls to your Online Number would be to renew the number for another 3 or 12 months.  You can't have it both ways - not paying to renew the number, and forwarding calls from it to another number.  It would be just like trying to do the same thing with a landline or mobile number - those carriers are certainly not going to forward calls to you for free. Skype is no different.

  • Differences between Online Number and Call Forward...

I have an unlimited subscription for the United States. For others to call me though I am not sure what the best option is. Could someone please clarify the differeces between having an Online number and having calls forwarded?

    Hello,
An Online # is for your contacts to call you. (You can't make calls from it).
Call forwarding is simply forwarding a received call to another phone of your choice.
To receive calls from your contacts you will need an Online #.
