Online Number doesn't include unlimited country mi...

I used to be a subscriber of online number which includes unlimited minutes of that country. This year, when I tried to renew, it doesn't include the minutes!! I didn't know it until I noticed my credit in my account is dropping!! Now, I had to go back and subscribe the minutes for that country, and found out I have 50% off discount if I get an online number. Is it possible to refund 50% of the online number that I have previously subscribed?? Can someone help me??????

Hi,
You can contact Skype Customer Service and explain that you wish to have a discount for the number.
How it can be done at all? They will issue a refund for your number, then number will of course be removed from your account (but reserved for you for 90days) and then you will have to go thru the payment flow again.
I cannot promise they will refund your number, but that is the only available option

My online number doesn't ring through

I'm in Sweden, but have an Oregon online number. When people call me they just get a recorded message to leave a message... it doesn't ring through to me. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Have you tried this.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.

Skype online number doesn't display in Hong Kong, ...

Hi all,
I've subscribed a Skype number in Hong Kong, set it as my caller ID. However, whonever I call in Hong Kong, it only show as Unknown Caller. On the other hand, if I call someone in Australia, the number does come up correctly as +852XXXXXXXX. Anyway got any idea?

Online number doesn't work at all

Hi,
I have a Chilean online number, for my family back in Chile to reach me easily. I've had that number for over a year now, and my current subscription is supposed to work until March, 2012.
However, when my family tries to reach me, they get a message in spanish, stating the phone number has been deactivated.

I have just purchased an online number and voicemail. I cannot receive any communications - no receipt of phone calls, no receipt of SMS messages, no voicemail. I can place calls though. I have tried using the Android and Linux applications.

Sign up screen for Skype online number doesn't giv...

I am trying to register for an online Skype number. But when I get to the screen asking for an area code, there are no options. So I can't proceed beyond this point. I live in Texas. Are there any restrictions in Texas that might be preventing me from getting an online Skype number? Or is there a web site problem? I have a valid Skype account and apps loaded on my computer and iphone. Frustrating...

Trying to Get Skype Online Number

Trying to get Skype online number. I pick my country and state, but can't get past that.
goes to step #2, and shows loading area codes, but then it goes blank and won't let me pick area code. Already bout unlimitted monthly calling subscription in case that was problem, but still doesn't work. Help!

No meaning to get skype online number, i subscribed for whole year online number, but the online number doesn't work most of the time, I am very upset, disappointed, and my friends are also very upset, angry and worry when they can't find me through the online number i bought, i am too busy to complain the quality, but now I need to voice this BIG BIG PROBLEM. I am using android reception Orange . Skype has to compensate me!!

I think I spent more than I should have on my subscription and it still doesn't do what I thought it would do. I am interested in online number but I can't enough information. I have a phone hooked to skype via freetalk with a subscription. With online number, can I receive calls on that phone?
What if I am logged in on mobile skype on my cell phone, which device will receive the call, cell phone or phone attached to freetalk?

If the friends who would call an Australian Online Number are outside Australia, they would be charged for an international call. An Australian Online Number could be useful for your friends or family that are in Australia. Depending on where they are in Australia, those calls could potentially be considered local calls.
If your German friends are not able to get on Skype, another option may be to get an Online Number in a different European country. Skype has Online Numbers from other countries where there is no requirement to be a local resident (the UK is one of them). This would still be an international call for your German friends, but maybe not as expensive to call somewhere else in Europe vs. Australia.

Will Online Number suit my needs?

I am an Australian travelling through Germany and Sweden for one month.
I would like the friends I am visiting to be able to call me (to my ipad or ipod).
Can I get a German phone number (so they can make local calls), or if I get an Online number here in Australia, are my friends charged international rates to call me while I am in Germany?
Is an Online Number the right way to go?
Any ideas, suggestions?

Unlimited subscription and online number

I'm a great fan of voip and Skype but one thing that really bugs me is the fact that Skype neither provides an online Israeli number nor an unlimited plan for calling mobiles. There are simply no decent voip services available that even come close to Skype in terms of call rates and quality.
Are you going to do something about it anytime soon or should I keep on dreaming?

I don't want to just say "keep on dreaming", but that might be the answer to your question.
Skype does not charge different rates for Online Numbers in different countries. This means that Skype will only pay a provider of those services up to a certain amount for an Online Number used to receive calls from telephones. It is possible that it would cost too much in Israel for Skype to do this, or there may be national regulations that prevent Skype from offering Israeli Online Numbers (this is the case in Canada).
As for a subscription for unlimited calling to Israeli mobile phones, this is entirely related to the cost to call those numbers. I looked at the per-call rates, and it would probably be a very expensive monthly subscription if Skype offered an "unlimited" subscription for calling those phones. Skype doesn't offer "unlimited" subscriptions for mobiles, usually in those places where the costs to call a mobile are the same as calling a landline phone (very few places have this) or the difference is smaller than it appears to be in Israel right now (2.3 US cents/minute for calling Israeli landline phones when paying with Skype Credit, compared to 13.8 US cents/minute for calling Israeli mobile phones - not including the connection fee per call).

I need to change the country and online number

I bought this online number yesterday, and just figured out that I shouldn't have set the country as the US. I desperately need to change the country. If not, there is no use for using this online number, and I'll have to cancel it.
And if I cancel it, can I get a refund of $18 I've payed for the number and my leftover credit? Please let me know ASAP ..

There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.
