Online number for Brazil not working

I have done all that needs to be done, have tried calling from my Netherlands mobile to test as well and it worked, but when someone from Brazil tries to call me, it says that the number doesn't exist.
This as suggested by a moderator in another thread too has been done.
First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in. 
Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone". 
Save and wait for 5 minutes.
Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
Please help.

I suggest you first contact Skype Customer Service directly to ensure nothing has gone awry with your Skype Number or the subscription itself.  Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
You will need to proceed through each step, one at a time. Sign on to the Skype website as requested. Choose the subject and topic which most closely matches the item you need assistance with. Then, continue past Step 2 of the instruction where several articles from the FAQ library will appear for you to review, and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the blue "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip through Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started. When you complete the webform and click Submit, your information is relayed to Skype and you will receive a reply via e-mail.
If you are a Skype Premium or other eligible customer, you will be routed to start an instant message chat session with a Customer Service agent.

    I would like to get an online number for Brazil but I can't get it and I don't know why. I'm living in Sydney - Australia and I wanted to have an online number for my family in Brazil call me any time.

  • Online Number for Brazil no longer available?

    My online number just stoped working.  Back in May I received an email stating the Skype team had addressed the issues with Brazil Telecom and I could order online numbers, since Transit was not releasing the old numbers. I ordered a new number on July 20th thru purchase order 59645482. The number worked fine until November 20th, when friends started reporting busy tone. Today I found out, thru an agent that the number has been disconnected and that you no longer can get online numbers in Brazil. 
    Despite the fact that I was not notified or refunded, I would like to know if there is any plans to restore the Online service to Brazil and what is the timeline.

  • Skype number is suddenly not working for me and my...

    Skype number is suddenly not working for me and my colleagues to RECEIVE outside calls.  Any ideas?
    When I try to call my skype from my cell, it doesnt ring on either end.  It appears connected on the cell phone since the counter clock for the call is increasing, but it doesnt ring or connect.
    This is the same for me and at least 2 of my colleagues.  It was working all day, till suddenly it did not.
    When outside people call, it just gives us a missed call or voicemail email, but does not show a missed call on our skype.
    When I call an outside number from skype, it connects.
    Thanks for any help ASAP!

    I think this might have been happening to me earlier.  If you wait like 30 seconds when you called a machine said "All circuits are busy. da da da".  I was looking for an answer and google only brought stuff from like 2010.  It's working now after an hour or so.
    Sucks cause I use skype for work and was desperate to find a quick reponse but couldn't.

    WHY does skype allow me to pay to have my online number in Brazil extended while they say they cant offer online numbers in Brazil anymore ?
    Not that this number works anyways... it cannot be dialed in by more than half the people that try to call it (from within Brasil)
    They can blame it on Transit,

    You can still get a brazil number and use it with Skype ...
    Skype actually used to carry Brazil online numbers, they dropped them earlier this year I believe.

    There are some subtle differences, related to how local phone calls are billed for callers in New York City.  It would not affect how the Online Number works for you - you are not charged for incoming calls made to Skype's Online Numbers, when you answer those calls with Skype.  For those calling you, it can mean the difference between a free call to your Online Number and having to pay a small fee to call your number.  For someone calling from outside the New York City area, it probably doesn't matter which of those zones you use for your Online Number.
    I have not found a good concise online reference to those calling zone in the past.  I have found some rather cryptic material that shows which prefixes in each of the New York City area codes are in each of those zones.  The zones are defined by lists of prefixes within each of those area codes, and those lists can be substantial with the growth in mobile phones over the years.

  • Get a online number page does not exist!

    This is the 3rd time this is happening to me in about 2 weeks with no success. I go to the online number page and everything works fine. I can view my existing online numbers and so on. However when I click on the link get an online number because I want to sign up for another it says the page does not exist.

    We are short on information. Settings may depend on your Mac OSX version, which we don't yet know. Please let us know the version, plus how you are sending/receiving mail: a mail client installed like Apple Mail, Ms Outlook, or Entourage; or by visiting a web site like yahoo, hotmail, or gmail.

    If you click on the link provided by Norman, above, you will be transferred to the information about obtaining a Skype Number.  Clicking on the box on the right side of that window to check the list of countries where a Skype Number is available will show that Singapore does not appear on the list. 
    Unfortunately, due to one or more legitimate reasons, not all countries or locations can or do participate in the Skype Number program.  Skype does not announce when new countries are added to the list; we would have to check back periodically.

  • Online number for older relative - best option?

    My husband is in Kuwait for 12 months. His mom is in Illinois and is almost 80. She doesn't have a computer/web/cell but does have a landline phone. My husband wants to be able to call her when off duty (he already can call me and the kids on cell or computer). Looking at everything I think our best (and only) option is to buy His mom a skype phone number. My husband calls that number (free since skype to skype) and it would ring on her home number (right??)
    is this the best option? She wouldn't be using it to call out, just for him to call her.
    I went to buy a number Online - and I wasn't sure how it worked.  looked like it might just give ME (since I signed in) the number. Do I have to create an account for His mom and then buy the skype number for her?

  • Will a Serial Number for Photoshop CS5 Work for CS5 Extended?

    I've recently subscribed to Photoshop CS5 and Dreamweaver CS5.5. In my Order History, it says 'Photoshop CS5', not 'Photoshop CS5 Extended'. However the download links in my Order History does not work (yes, I do have Adobe Download Assistant--in fact, I used it to download Dreamweaver CS5.5 without any problems).
    So, I decided to download the trial version instead and enter my serial number that way. However, the problem is that I see Photoshop CS5 on Adobe's Products page, yet when I click on it, it leads me to Photoshop CS5 Extended.
    I don't want to waste my time downloading CS5 Extended, only to find out that my serial number for CS5 does not work on it. So my question is: Will a Serial Number for Photoshop CS5 work for Photoshop CS5 Extended?

    For anyone else having the same problem: I contacted Adobe via phone, and they said that a serial number for Photoshop CS5 will work with Photoshop CS5 Extended.
