Online number issues - Ordering

Hi,
Just placed an order for an online number.. Durng the payment auth the page refreshed but I could not see an payment history. When I go back to the onlinenumber area I can see the number I choose and 3 orders pending against this. Please can you adivse on what to do... I don't wish to be charged 3 times for a single number.

It sounds like a Privacy setting related to Online Numbers is blocking those calls.  When you purchase an Online Number, Skype does not automatically allow calls to that number to reach your Skype account.  Using the Skype program on a computer (not the apps on mobile phones or other devices), you can access the Privacy settings and change the setting for Online Numbers to allow calls from anywhere to come through.   When you make that change, please allow 5-10 minutes for the change to take effect.  Then it should work for you.

    Wanting to purchase a Skype Online Number, but after selecting Country (USA), and State (FL), area code drop-down list does not populate.  I've tried using a different State, and same thing happens. FIX?

    I have troubleshooted and posted on here and changed privacy settings and upgraded to the latest Skype version and have been in a continuous online feedback loop w/ Skype desperately looking for answers.  MAD! 
    My 3 month online number does NOT work, and now Skype is sending me emails saying that I can extend it.  No way. I want my money back, and I want the number to work.  Do I really need to buy MORE credit in order to get an answer? will absolutely abandon skype.

  • RTX 4088 not ringing when called using online numb...

    I have read a lot of posts some with solutions( that don't work) and others stating that this is a known skype issue.
    Firstly i have just bought my second cordless phone, RTX 4088, nice phone but wont ring when anyone rings me on my online number. This is hit and miss, works some days others not. Actually doesn't work most of the time.
    I had a long chat with skype support and did as a another post suggested deleted an xml file, changed some settings and sat about for 5 minutes, this didn't work.
    I did get it to work by doing a full reset on the phone, this fixed it temporarily. 15minutes later.
    RTX support is useless, they said contact skype and skype said contact them....
    I am pissed at skype over this, no public notice that this is a bug and no real solution. Online numbers are pointless if your phone wont ring when someone calls. You may as well buy a €6 corded phone and leave your computer on because thats the only calls i can receive. Dont spend th €90 euro for a fancy phone that just answers skype to skype calls.
    Skype please fix this bug and stop giving us the run around.....

    My new online number is not showing up when i call mobiles (tried several of them).
    It is impossible to select it from the pre-selected numbers or anything of that kind. I can select that skype shows all my previous historical numbers that i have ever used...  ...but not the new online number.
    ANNOYING!!
    I have just paid €15 for nothing!!

    Thanks for posting your Online Number.  Unfortunately, Online Numbers in Finland can't be used as Caller ID when calling telephones from your Skype account.  Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used this way.

  • Where is my online number?!

    Hi,
    I ordered my online number about a week ago and only got around to paying it today, and I wanted to send it forward to family and friends, but I can't for the life of me find the actual number as I didn't write it down before. Can anyone tell me where I can find it under account settings? I wanted to email customer care but can't find any email for them, either.

    I can confirm that you have 2 active Online Numbers at the moment (UK and Hong Kong).
    If you wish to see them, you need to log in to your account (on Skype webpage) and click on "Online Number" tab. There you will be able to check the details of your numbers and extend them if needed.

    Here are the answers to your questions:
    1. You can forward Online Number calls to your mobile:
    http://www.skype.com/intl/en/features/allfeatures/call-forwarding/
    2. Callers pay local rates if Online Number is local to them. Online Number acts like a regular landline number and people calling this number will get charged the same way as they would call regular landline in that area/country. Keep in mind that for call forwarding to your mobile number you will be charged. It would be the same if you call your mobile from your Skype account.
    3. If you forward calls to your mobile number, then you don't need Skype on your phone.
    4. You should be able to see who is calling. Skype should forward caller ID as well if it is enabled by caller. As you know not everybody has their caller ID visible when making calls.

    I first got my ph# 201-285-XXXX and had a 3mth online number subscription  for it. ON Jan 8 Skype attempted to renew my 3mth subscription but i had insufficient funds. The funds are now available, and i have 18 days left before the number expires, but the system is saying i cannot use this number, i need a new one. PLEASE HELP ME KEEP THIS PH # !     1. Allow your current Skype Number subscription to expire. You won't lose your number -- it will be held on your account for reactivation for 90 days following the subscription expiration date.
    2. After the subscription expires, sign on to your account details.  You should be presented with a triangle icon with an exclamation mark inside of it, and be greeted with the message that your Skype Number subscription has expired.  Click on the "Reactivate" link, and proceed to renew; at that time,
    TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
    I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Online Number for Brazil no longer available?

    My online number just stoped working.  Back in May I received an email stating the Skype team had addressed the issues with Brazil Telecom and I could order online numbers, since Transit was not releasing the old numbers. I ordered a new number on July 20th thru purchase order 59645482. The number worked fine until November 20th, when friends started reporting busy tone. Today I found out, thru an agent that the number has been disconnected and that you no longer can get online numbers in Brazil. 
    Despite the fact that I was not notified or refunded, I would like to know if there is any plans to restore the Online service to Brazil and what is the timeline.

    in order to get a French online number is a proof of residence required in any case (individual vs Skype manager)?
    I have an Italian Skype Manager and would like to set up a French online number. Do I need a proof of Residence in France? If yes, is a proof of residence in France enough or it must be in the area I would like to set up the number in (ex. Paris number)?

    You won't be able to change your existing Online Number to one in a different area or country, but you could purchase a new number in the area and/or country you want.  One way is to log into your account on the Skype web site (using the "Account" link above), then go to Online Numbers.  You will see a link to purchase another number, and see your existing number(s) with the date that each number expires.  You can have up to 10 Online Numbers. 
    If the first number is no longer needed, you don't have to do anything with it.  It will expire, and then after the 90-day grace period where you can reclaim the number, it will drop off your account.

    Please guide me how to transfer from 'ALL countries online to US /Canada online number' - as it was an error and I don't have to pay $18 where the transaction is still pending - please help me to transfer to US online and to refund the balance or anyother confirmation - thank you!

    1)   I needed an 'online' number to call other skypes accounts ( on their mobiles, on their computer skypes etc.,) - and also I saw the Discount you offer "US & Canada" unlimited $2.99 / month. 
    My kind request ( I will not be traveling outside USA) : Please allow me to have online number at a discounted rate per month ( $2.99 / month instead of $18 for 3 months).
    Two problems here....
    1. The Online Numbers only work to *receive* calls from telephones on your Skype account.  They do nothing for calling phones. 
    2. There is no discount for an Online Number as you describe.  They are either US$ 18/3 months, US$ 60/year, or US$ 30/year if you already have a subscription to call telephones. 
    If you want to receive calls from telephones and make calls to telephones in the USA, you would need two items - an Online Number in the US at the prices I listed above, and some way to pay for the calls you make from Skype to telephones in the US (Skype Credit, or the Unlimited USA & Canada subscription at US$ 2.99/month).  You must have both, in order to be able to make calls to telephones as well as receive calls from telephones. 
    If Skype users you are calling run the Skype app on their smart phones or other devices, you would just call them on their Skype account name.  This would be a free call, not requiring an Online Number or a subscription (or Skype Credit on your account).  You need the subscription (or Skype Credit) only if you are calling those people at their mobile phone numbers, and only need the Online Number if you want them to be able to call you from a telephone and not from Skype. 
     2) transaction date is shown for my order number "626216569" says 6/19/2012 - 02:43 GMT.
    My question: when this will be effective for me to call my relatives and friends who have skype ( I don't have skype so I'm getting a skype 'online' US only number ).
    I hope this helps you to understand my issues - I thought my 'online' number will be ready by this evening , as I did my transaction yesterday ( but it is giving a wrong transaction date too).
    I'm really confused how long to wait to get this 'online' number... and I'm very very excited about this 'online' number that I'm getting , but I don't know when I'm going to get it.
    Again, you don't need to purchase anything if the people you are calling are also on Skype.  Call them using their Skype name, and it is a free call.
    As for what you purchased, you may want to click on the "Support" link above and file a request with Skype Support about that.  I'm not a Skype employee, so I can't look into the status of your recent purchase.
