Online Number never activated

I purchased an online number using my skype credit.  It said it would take up to 2 weeks to content .. 5 weeks later I am still waiting.  What should I do?

    I purchased an online number in Edinburgh, UK and it NEVER worked (three weeks and counting). I can't find a tech support phone number or anything like that in the Skype site. There is only one email address [email protected] that is not being checked or simply ignoring my emails.

    Can you please advise me why my online number is never available to take inbound calls, the inbound call should be routed to my voice mail. ?

    I found the following reply to a very similar question on another thread.  Seems strange, but it worked for me, so worth a try:
    First check your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".Save and wait for 5 minutes.Log out from your Skype account and log back in. Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone". Save and wait for 5 minutes.Log out from your Skype account and log back in.

  • Incoming online number / Skype-to-Skype connection...

    Whever I get an incoming call I frantically click on the green button but I can never connect.  I have divert to my mobile and the caller waits perhaps only three times in ten for the diverted call to connect.  Firstly that is costing me money and secondly I am missing calls from anything with a withheld number (which is usually someone trying to sell me something.
    I have no problem making outgoing calls.
    Any ideas and suggestions anyone please?
    I am running Windows 7 with 4Gb RAM.  I am using the computer's built-in speakers.

    Hi there, I have just registered for an online number and activated call forwarding but my problem is i cannot transfer calls to different users even though the option is available for me to add the number and transfer the call.
    When I transfer the call it just rings back to my own account number. Is there a solution to this? Suggestions and ideas please

    Hi all,
    I've subscribed a Skype number in Hong Kong, set it as my caller ID. However, whonever I call in Hong Kong, it only show as Unknown Caller. On the other hand, if I call someone in Australia, the number does come up correctly as +852XXXXXXXX. Anyway got any idea?

    I bought an online number approximately 1 month ago. It worked perfectly but now it says that this number is disconnected or no longer in service while it should work for two more months.

    My swiss online number doesn't work when i try to verify it, it says it isn't a mobile number... so it doesn't show up when i call...
    That's too bad, people don't answer to weird skype user name or US number...
    I paid for that swiss number, what is the solution???

    I am trying to register for an online Skype number. But when I get to the screen asking for an area code, there are no options. So I can't proceed beyond this point. I live in Texas. Are there any restrictions in Texas that might be preventing me from getting an online Skype number? Or is there a web site problem? I have a valid Skype account and apps loaded on my computer and iphone. Frustrating...

  • Online number has never worked

    I have just had a reminder that my online number is about to expire, but it has never worked. When I dial it, it connects for a nano-second, and then immediately I get the disconnected beeps.
    I wondered if it was my phone supplie preventing the number being used? (They don't weant me to circumnavigate their service?).
    I won't be renewing the subscription as i cannot use the phone number

    I have bought an online number yesterday 19th June, and after the subscription got activated, I got to know that this number is already in use with some other company. When I dial the same skype online number it rings in some other company's call center.

    it seems that skype messed up numbers somehow. i have online UK number and I'm getting 5-10 call everyday from different german numbers who have missed calls from me. of course i've never called them

    I ordered my online number about a week ago and only got around to paying it today, and I wanted to send it forward to family and friends, but I can't for the life of me find the actual number as I didn't write it down before. Can anyone tell me where I can find it under account settings? I wanted to email customer care but can't find any email for them, either.

    I can confirm that you have 2 active Online Numbers at the moment (UK and Hong Kong).
    If you wish to see them, you need to log in to your account (on Skype webpage) and click on "Online Number" tab. There you will be able to check the details of your numbers and extend them if needed.

  • Online Number Not Working

    I bought an online number and to the best of my knowledge it is activated.  When I call it, it will just ring and go to voicemail, but it does not ring on my computer or mobile phone (android with skype installed and running).  Please help me remedy this.  I have been to the FAQs and have changed the settings to receive calls from anybody, and even switched my preference back to "contacts only" for five minutes and then switched it back to "anyone" again, but to no avail.  I still cannot receive calls on my computer or android phone, I can only listen to voicemail.

    I have the same problem. I was on skype for over an hr last nite chatting trying to fix problem with no results.
    When I call the online # from my cell it rings but not on puter. My sons tried to call with the same problem.
    When I call my son on skype I cannot hear it ring but I hear him when he comes on the line.
    I dont know what to do next

    I have an online number, but it doesnt work. (engaged noise when rung)
    1st - i did all the things listed in the 'help' section regarding this problem-
    didnt work
    2nd - went on live chat and he told me to do the same thing and some other stuff. 
    Still didnt work, so he referred my case to main office and said someone would be in touch to fix it. This was last week and i still havent heard anything! 
    I need to use this number ASAP! Can someone please fix it?

    Same thing with me...
    I was receiving the skype emails giving updates on the issue about the Online numbers in Brazil.
    Then, I got an email on June 30 saying that we could try to keep the same number, but skype was opening a new line and my subscription would be transfered to that number. And also, I would be getting 2 additional months free for the inconvenience... The email was very confusing and there were no clear instructions on how to proceed. It is copied below:
    "As you know, on May 4, Transit Telecom unilaterally decided to terminate its relationship withSkype...
    We realize that you may prefer to keep the previous Skype Online Number you had through Transit Tele...
    Well, what happened was that I got a new number and both (the old and the new) have been showing as active in my account. My subscription (recently renewed for 1 year) is linked to my old number, that does not work (always busy).
    The new number, opened on the day that I have received the email above, has worked fine ever since, but is going to expire in 10 days and there is no indication that my subscription will be transfered from the old (not working) number to the new number (good one) when it expires... 
    I will not buy an extension for the new number since I've already gotten it for the old one... I just need my subscription linked to a number that actually works, which ever number it is...
    Oh, and I tried changing the privacy settings to allow receiving calls from anyone... Didn't work !
    I am looking forward to hearing back from you hopefully with a solution.

    My Online Number has been deactivated.
    I was not informed.
    Now it has been brought to my attention by a customer i find that hte system tells me the number is no longer available but when I call it there is no answer so it is not being used.
    I would like my old number back. How do I achieve this?
    I must say it is also VERY frustrating that I there is no contact information for customer services at all on this site and if there is it is so well hidden that it is impossible to find. Big negative.

    I apologize for the problems you had activating your Galaxy S4, we definitely need to get it up and running. From the details provided, it sounds like it didn't activate properly. Was the Bionic on when you swapped them online? Power off both phones; remove/re-insert SIM in Galaxy S4 and try again. If problem is still there, completing a factory reset will push the activation through.
