Online Number Not Received

I've ordered and paid for an online number.  I received an e-mail confirming that the order was received & fulfilled.  However, I never received confirmation of the online number, nor is it showing up for me in Skype.  How should I proceed to find out what happened?

For Germany I have read that it may take up to two weeks. something to do with the German govt. Skype has no control over this. I am not german, but have read this on other threads,

    First check that your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.
    Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".
    Save and wait for 5 minutes.
    Log out from your Skype account and log back in.
    Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone".

    If people on telephones are seeing what you describe when you are calling from Skype, you need to make sure your Caller ID settings have your Online Number used for Caller ID.  It is possible something changed the Caller ID settings.  If the Online Number expired and then you renewed it, the expiration probably turned off your Caller ID.  Caller ID is not enabled by default, allowing Skype users to make that choice.

  • Certain number not receiving text messages

    I've been having a problem with my phone where a single number will not receive any text messages sent from my number. I receive any texts from him without any issue, and we can both call each other as well. I am on Verizon, an iphone 5 with the latest software (7.1). He is on AT&T with an android device. He does not and has never had an iphone on his account, so I know it's nothing to do with iMessage (I have turned iMessage on and off as well to no avail). We have both deleted groupme or other messaging systems that other help threads I've seen online blame as the problem. I have not had this problem with anyone else in my contacts, and it seems to have started out of nowhere.

    When you send a message from your phone, is the bubble around the message blue or green? If it is blue, your phone is attempting to send it via iMessage to a phone which cannot access iMessage.
    If the bubble is blue, do you get a warning message that the message cannot be sent(or some other message to that effect)? If so, there should be a little question mark/asterisk next to the warning. Touch that and you should get an option to send as an SMS. Do that, but this also points out the fact that you do not have SMS enabled on your phone.
    Go into the settings, under iMessage (or Messages, I can't remember which it is) and make sure that send as SMS if iMessage is unavailable is checked.

  • Online Number Not Working

    I bought an online number and to the best of my knowledge it is activated.  When I call it, it will just ring and go to voicemail, but it does not ring on my computer or mobile phone (android with skype installed and running).  Please help me remedy this.  I have been to the FAQs and have changed the settings to receive calls from anybody, and even switched my preference back to "contacts only" for five minutes and then switched it back to "anyone" again, but to no avail.  I still cannot receive calls on my computer or android phone, I can only listen to voicemail.

    I have the same problem. I was on skype for over an hr last nite chatting trying to fix problem with no results.
    When I call the online # from my cell it rings but not on puter. My sons tried to call with the same problem.
    When I call my son on skype I cannot hear it ring but I hear him when he comes on the line.
    I dont know what to do next

    On March 21 I payed the fee for the creative cloud membership for photoshop and lightroom. Up until now (april 11) I did not receive my serial number(s) or downloadlinks.
    There is only 9 days of free trials left, and I need Lightroom. When can I receive my serial numbers?

    you should start your own thread, but again:
    there is no serial number used with adobe cc programs.  you use your adobe id.
    go here and download the cc desktop app (using your adobe id), Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial
    after the desktop app is installed, open it and use it to install your ps and lr programs.

    It seems you need to release the voice-mail arrangements.

    It is impossible to select it from the pre-selected numbers or anything of that kind. I can select that skype shows all my previous historical numbers that i have ever used...  ...but not the new online number.
    ANNOYING!!
    I have just paid €15 for nothing!!

    Thanks for posting your Online Number.  Unfortunately, Online Numbers in Finland can't be used as Caller ID when calling telephones from your Skype account.  Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used this way.

    I bought an online (Irish) number last week.
    It works OK when anyone from inside of Ireland calls it but when someone from abroad calls they get an automated message saying that "the number is not active".
    I'm wondering why this is and how to resolve it..

    I'm having the same problem.  I have an online number for the 415 area code but every time I call someone my number is a 661 area code.  Not cool.  How do we get this fixed?

    Hello. I paid for a year subscription for a Hong Kong-based online number about a month ago for work purposes. My coworkers and clients have tried calling the number, but the service does not appear to have worked at any point, or been activated. They hear something like a busy signal, but no ringing.
    I don't have this problem at all with my personal U.S.-based online number.
    It would be great if I could get help with getting the HK online number to work as it should. If it can't be made to work, I would appreciate having the number cancelled and the subscription fee refunded. Thank you.

    I got reports from several persons who called my online number that it is not ringing, it goes direct to Voice Mail, i checked the requirements to have it working, Have the latest version of Skype (DONE), Be online in the computer (DONE), and if still not ringing, reset the privacy settings, this is where i got stucked. In the support forum i found that the way to reset your privacy settings is to change the setting in TOOLS-->Privacy under "Allow calls to my skype number(s) from..." to "Phone numbers in my contact list only", wait 5 or more minutes, and then switch it back to "anyone". My problem is that no matter how many times I change it to Phone numbers in my contact list only", and no matter how long i wait, when i come back to TOOLS-->Privacy, it is always in "anyone" so i guess there is something wrong with that setup option. Anyone with the same issue and solution? please help ! I'm trying to run a business using this number but all my customers are going straight to the voice mail !

    let me know if you find out anything new - this is also supposed to be my business number and it doesn't work - very frustrating experience.

    I'm trying to extend my online number but the settings button associated with the number does not work. When I click it nothing happens, the page just reloads and I'm back where I started.
    I have tried in Chrome, Firefox and IE but nothing seems to be working.

    This problem is known by Skype team and hopefully will be solved soon.
    But good news, your both numbers are now on a recurring agreement which means that you do not have to extend them manually.
    At the end of billing period your credit card/PayPal will be charged automatically and number extended for another 3/12 months.

  • Purchased online number not working

    I just prchased an online # and when I try to call it from my telephone it is answered but not by me. It would seem that the number is in use by someone else.

    I also have purchased online number (last week) when it is called - one gets a busy signale.
    There are a number of us experiencing this... have no idea how to contact anyone at SKYPE, cant find anything on the site other than this foorum... a little annoying!
