Online Number Subscription Extension and 50% Disco...

I currently have a UK online number. It will expire in Oct 2012. I noticed in my account that if I am on a subscription to call a landline or mobile phone in the UK, I am entitled to get 50% on an online number. Assuming if I were to extend my 1 year online number subscription, do I still get the 50% discount or it is for a new online number?

Hi,
Basically as long as you have an active subscription on your account you will get a discount on Online Number purchase. It doesn't matter if you purchase a new number or extend your old number.
I was checking your account and I can see that you purchased Online Number just recently, if you wish you might be able to get a refund on Online Number order and purchase the same number again with a discount since right now you have a subscription.

    I have a yearly online number subscription that is supposed to expire in November/2011. Last year I renewed the subscription in October using a credit card. Somehow before the subscription was renewed last year after my first payment, I was charged again through the auto-pay on a different credit card. Meaning I paid for two years instead of one. So my subscription should not expire in November/2011 but in November/2012. Please let me know how that can be corrected. Thank you.

    Online Number cannot be cancelled.
    It is not a recurring payment, so when it's about to expire, just do not extend it.
    If it is a new order and you made a mistake for example, then you might try to request a refund from Skype Customer Service.

  • Online number subscription help

    My online number expired yesterday. I intended to subscribe for a year, yet I cannot change the skype setting, and Skype took away my money from my card for a three month subscription yesterday. I would like to have refund of the three month subscription and change it to a year subscription. Can any expert help me on this issue? Thanks!

  • Purchased Online number days ago and still nothing...

    Hello,
    We are rather dissatisfied with your service. We purchased an online number from you days ago and the status still says processing. Our credit card company reported that the 60 dollar payment cleared yet we recieved nothing in return.
    What exactly is going on here? I'd sure like an explanation as to why the product I purchased has not been delivered after you took my money. And what of the  50% discount for having a skype phone subscription? Will 30 dollars be returned to my account for this?

    Can I get an update on the status of my Online Number purchase please? If not, I'll be forced to cancel all services and demand a full refund.

    Hello, I already bought two subscriptions for an online number (each for three months), both products are delivered according to my purchase history, but I don't have the online number yet. I have checked account (web and skype) and cannot find anything anywhere. I am in Germany but this was already a week ago.

    Depending on the location of the Online Numbers, some take more time to set up than others.  For example, in countries where there is a residency requirement (I think German Online Numbers fall into this category), the residency verification must be completed before the number is assigned.  For other Online Numbers, the assignment can be almost immediate. 
    You may want to log into your account here on the Skype web site using the "Account" link at the top of this page.  Then click on Online Number, to see if the numbers are listed there.  If not, you may want to contact customer service due to the length of time that has passed since you purchased the numbers.

  • Online Number Subscription Duration

    I've had online numbers through skype for over 5 years now and when we had to manually renew expriing numbers I always had the option to choose the duration of the renewal. If I had more money I could get a longer subscription, if things were tight I could just renew for 3 months. Now we have auto-renewal I find that I am not given any option to change the subscription length and appear to be locked into a auto-renewing 3 month subscription. Does anyone know how I can alter this? I tried to change it withing "settings" while the number was active and found no options to let me do so. I let one number expire and tried again and still don't have the option to change the subscription length.
    All the changes to Skype over the last year or so are making the system less and less user friendly. Are there any UI designers on the skype team?

    I managed to do this by following the steps (I figured this on my own, no help was ever given by any support staff, which is indeed sad):
    - log in to skype.com;
    - cancel the subscription to your skype number (it will tell you you have the number available up until date XX);
    - log off your account;
    - wait for about 10 mins;
    - log in again on skype.com;
    - on the upper, you'll get a warning message saying your skype number subscription was cancelled and it'll give you the option to change it, click on it;
    - there you have it, now it'll give you 2 options, to renew for 3 or 12 months;
    - select 12 months, enter payment method, select pay.
    now your subscription is updated with 12 month duration.

  • Online Number not ringing (And not able to reset p...

    I got reports from several persons who called my online number that it is not ringing, it goes direct to Voice Mail, i checked the requirements to have it working, Have the latest version of Skype (DONE), Be online in the computer (DONE), and if still not ringing, reset the privacy settings, this is where i got stucked. In the support forum i found that the way to reset your privacy settings is to change the setting in TOOLS-->Privacy under "Allow calls to my skype number(s) from..." to "Phone numbers in my contact list only", wait 5 or more minutes, and then switch it back to "anyone". My problem is that no matter how many times I change it to Phone numbers in my contact list only", and no matter how long i wait, when i come back to TOOLS-->Privacy, it is always in "anyone" so i guess there is something wrong with that setup option. Anyone with the same issue and solution? please help ! I'm trying to run a business using this number but all my customers are going straight to the voice mail !

    let me know if you find out anything new - this is also supposed to be my business number and it doesn't work - very frustrating experience.

  • Calling Online number with Mac and iPhone running ...

    I'm running V5.3.0.1093 on OSx Lion, I have the latest version running on my iPhone4, when I call my online number from a landline both the Mac and iPhone ring, if I answer the call on my Mac the iPhone continues to ring until the end of the call.
    This only happens when the Skype app is running in the background on the iPhone, I also get a missed called notification on the iPhone. The is very annoying as I can't mute the ring or adjust the volume, the mute button and volume control on the phone is rendered useless!!

    My response might not make you very happy but it is what it is, firstly the call forwarding works by your skype phone calling you and directing the call. Meaning you are getting a call from skype not the original phone meaning you cannot get caller ID. Second Your skype VM only works when the call is unanswered and if your mobiles VM answers it is not unanswered. It is approximately the same effect though except mobile VM costs money and skypes does not.

    I signed up for a skype number two years ago and I've been using one since. During my first and second years, calls within the United States were included with the number. I just renewed and it and I can't make any calls within the United States so it seems like this is no longer the case. What exactly do you get with a Skype number, free incoming calls?
    I'm pretty frustrated right now. If that is all you're offering with this service then it's been a waste of my money, because I could just forward my cell calls to my google talk account for FREE. So, please tell me what I've just paid for, how I can get my mobile and land line calls at no additional charge, and, if nothing else, how it can be refunded (yes I did read the fine print).

    Hello Jeff and welcome to the Skype Community! I've just looked at your account and your calls are failing because you don't have a Subscription nor credit. Skype Numbers have been a standalone product for some time now.
    1. A Skype Number is for your contacts to call you - inbound calls - irrespective of your location. It travels with you wherever you go. Skype Number 
    2. To make calls to or within the USA you need either an Unlimited USA/Canada Subscription or some credit. Skype subscription Buy Skype credit
    3. Normally Skype Numbers aren't refundable but you can try by filing here:

    I have a 1 month subscription and want to get an online number (3-month subscription) ...my question is - If I purchase the 3-month subscription does that mean that my 1-month unlimited subscription is extended for the next months as part of the online number subscription (unlimited cals, texts, etc.)?

    Subscriptions are not linked to Online Numbers. Your subscription will be extended every month even if you don't purchase an Online Number, until you cancel recurring payments.
    You will be charged separately for the calling subscription and Online Number, but keep in mind that Online Numbers are not extended automatically like subscriptions.
    If your Online Number expires then you have to manually extend it.
