Online number vs skype number

what is the difference between online number and skype number please?

UK English here, and in July 2015 it still (?) says "online number" for 12 months and "Skype number" for other periods. Do you test any languages other than US English? It sounds like you should assume this error (assuming it really is an error) exists for all langauges and update them all. It makes me very reluctant to buy. How do I know that there isn't some term and condition somewhere that says "X is valid for Skype Numbers but not Online Numbers" or visa versa? How do I know that X months down the line, I won't find that I'm unable to do something I want to do or am charged for something I wasn't expecting to be charged for, and I'm told that it's because I signed up for an "online number" instead of a "skype number" and that "the posts saying otherwise on the forum were in error, the details are on page 9,121 of MS terms and conditions..." - I've dealt with plenty of companies who do things like this.

When calling from my Skype number to an outside number, my skype number appears on my friends caller ID, as a totally diffferent number, or unkown. This has only started to happen in the last three months. Also I've had the same number for several years. Why is this and can you fix this issue.

One skype number for multiple users in Skype Manag...

Is it possible to get one Skype-in phone number and assign it to multiple members in Skype Manager?
If so, how do I go about it?

You could always allocate a number to multiple business accounts in Skype Manager. Then re-direct the number via IP-PBX to go to different extensions.

... Skype Numbers are not available in Greece. Skype typically does not disclose why numbers are available for come countries or localities and not others, but it could be for any number of reasons including that fixed line numbers are simply not available.

My Skype Number is listed online and I get unwante...

Since I first bought my Skype number a couple years ago I have been receiving calls from people looking for "VIP Cameras". It happened so frequently I Googled the name and number and found listings in several online databases that pool businesses together. I've done everything to contact those "yellow pages"-type companies for removal, and some have been compliant while others not. I tried to find the original owner of the company for VIP Cameras, but the company no longer exists, and as it turns out from customer reviews online, the camera company was a scam and ripped off numerous people. So basically, I own a phone number that is the scapegoat of a fake company that has its contact info plagued throughout the internet in shady name-sharing websites. I dealt with consistent wrong number phone calls in the dead of night while I was serving in the military overseas due to the time difference with the U.S., while I needed the number active for important calls from home.
I really didn't want to change the number because of my contacts who have me listed, but I have put up with this long enough, and I need to work with a representative to change my number. Please don't instruct me to block the numbers, as you might understand from my situation, the numbers are different every single time.

As well as the new download you will need the new serial number. You cannot use your original serial number.
(Don't expect it to work on modern versions of Windows or Mac OS though!)

It probably depends on which country you are based, though normally you cannot port a phone number to Skype. There are USA companies which, for a monthly fee circa $10, allow you to park your landline number with them and they will foward calls to Skype.

Maybe. Your phone should have settings to set forwarding for all calls to your T-Mobile number. If you enable that, your T-Mobile phone won't ring anymore, but you could still use your phone to make calls and for sending/receiving SMS or MMS messages.
If you are asking about forwarding calls when the mobile phone is on but you don't answer the phone, instead of those calls going to a T-Mobile voicemail system, you *may* be able to change that. T-Mobile doesn't let you do that on a prepaid phone, and that appears to be the same if you use some other prepaid services that ride on T-Mobile's network like Straight Talk. It may be possible on a postpaid plan (one where you get a monthly invoice to pay).
As for what T-Mobile would charge, you'd have to check on your plan or contact T-Mobile. Some plans have unlimited calling that includes call-forwarding, others only provide for a certain number of minutes for call-forwarded calls a month, and then there are some "plans" that make you pay for anything that is call-forwarded from your T-Mobile number. The T-Mobile web site may be able to help answer that, or a call to their customer service number will need to be made.

I have a few questions relating to the Skype Number, which I recently bought.
The main purpose for me using the Skype number is to receive business calls and have them forwarded to my mobile. I have a small business, and want to appear as if I had a landline number.
Here are my queries:
1) Can I have call forwarding on at all times, even if I am logged in to Skype?
2) Does it cost to forward calls to my mobile?
3) If so, is there a specific plan I can get to pay a flat rate?

- If you have set-up call forwarding in Skype, call forwarding status will be set when you're offline in Skype. Calls can also be forwarded when you're online if the call was not answered after a number of rings.
2) Does it cost to forward calls to my mobile?
- If you use Skype Credit as a payment method, the forwarded calls will be charged at the Skype’s great pay per minute rates. For example, if you forward your incoming Skype calls to a mobile number in the United States, you’ll be charged exactly what it costs to call a mobile in the United States from Skype.
3) If so, is there a specific plan I can get to pay a flat rate?
- You can also purchase a subscription for calls to a country where you want to receive the forwarded calls. For example, if you want your incoming Skype calls to be forwarded to a number in the United States, simply choose a subscription covering calls to the United States.

Cant cancel auto renewal of online skype number

Cant cancel auto renewal of online skype number as per FAQ.
Its not cool that skype has changed the setting to require you to cancel the online number or you get auto renewed. Then as per the FAQ one of the links is inactive.

Also I was wondering why my online number would not allow calls through.
As per the FAQ it says that I need to enable all numbers to call my to avoid blocked numbers not in my contacts list.
Unfortunately the same link is u/s.
I have been a customer for about 4 years and am now withdrawing all auto payments and moving to viber.
I would also like to point out that since ios 6 the iphone app is unstable.

To be more precise: I do have two Skype online numbers purchased in my private account - can I move these to the Skype Manager account?
I need a smooth transition in order not to loose the numbers and thus be forced to communicate new numbers everywhere.

Online number on Skype handheld phone?

Can I take calls made on my Online Number using Skype 3 MobilePhone? Is there any cahrge for that or do they count as just calls made to my Skype account (and no forwarding cahrges apply)?

It all depends on what country you are in, where your callers are, what telephone carrier serves those callers, and what your number is. It is possible that callers could be liable for call charges, depending on their location and your number.
Please don't post complete numbers here. If you post any numbers, please replace the last 4 digits with XXXX. Someone here may be able to do some research, depending on the situation and how much information for the telephone carrier your callers use is posted online. Otherwise, they - or you - would need to contact that carrier to ask why they are incurring STD (long-distance) charges instead of the calls being treated as local calls.
