Online payment doesn't work for me, and for many others, since 2004

Verizon, you suck, big time. I have called you tens of times, spent hours on the phone, you can't even escalate a support issue properly. Who is responsible for your online payment website? Because it has a bug that has left many very angry. If you guys know how to use a search engine (the thing you call google), and you know how to cut and paste, please search for the following:

You will find frustrated users, talking about months trying to get someone to solve the problem. Some reports go back to 2004, some are from this year. Either you are completely incompetent or you don't care, I think it's both.

Online, or by phone, I have not made a payment any other way in maybe 7 years and have never one time had an issue with paying online.
Here is a great idea. Set up Auto-Payment. I no longer do anything. I get a text telling me the bill was paid automatically.
That's too easy. And, you can set up Auto-Payment to charge against your bank account, or credit card and use that charge towards your points and pay the credit card company instead of Verizon, avoiding interest and earning cc rewards.
Then, there is always calling and paying by phone. Did you know companies can accept ATM card numbers now, if you don't have a credit card?
Then, there's paying at the Verizon store. OR, mailing it........
Not having ever seen the Error Message you are referring to, I can't offer any suggestions. Are you sure it is on Verizon's end? There is a plethora of possibilities as to why your browser could reject the connection.
On my computer,anti-virus software, popup blockers, spyware blockers, etc., sometimes block what I have to think are secure websites (my bank, for example).
So, while empathizing with your plight, explore the other options to pay your bill instead of ranting and sounding like a child that just got grounded and had their weekly allowance taken away from them by their parents.

    I hope somebody can help me here since I didn't find help on that topic somewhere....
    I downloaded the latest Divx, installed it and when I try to open it it crashes without really starting up and a text message appears:
    "The Application "Divx Player" was unexpectedly closes" Mac Osx and other Programs are not effected." (I have a german version of Leopard so I somehow tried to translate it but Im sure the most of you are aware of that text)
    When I try to watch a video in the web with the divx web player, it doesn't work, too.
    The web player doesn't open either!!! And thats the most important thing why I need DIVX for me!
    Because as long as I have the Codec I can watch DIVX Videos still with QUICK TIME but watching a WEB video doesn'T work!
    I tried so many things, deleting, reinstalling, deleting , redownload, reinstalling
    deleting it with PACIFIST (an app that locates all files on the hard drive that were installed), redownloading and reinstalling. Nothing helps.

    P.S: Ah yeah and what I forgot: It used to work. But then I upgraded my Mac to 10.6 and because my Mac was too slow with 10.6 i did a fresh install of 10.5 . I Updated it to 10.5.8 and from here the problem begins. It DOESN'T work.

    I'm actually a little bit confused: So my situation is now: I have Perian and I have Divx installed. I had Perian installed before I installed Divx.
    No what are my steps? Do I have to remove all files related to the DIVX package and download just the web player again and install it?
    Or do I just have to delete the files in Library/Quicktimes related to DIVX and then download the web player and install it?

  • Installing 8.1.052 doesn't work... and now I've lost the previous version!

    Tried to download and install 8.1.052 (using both Apple installer and 'download only' +manual installation). As soon as I select installation options/directory it says "itunes installer completed. The installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified". I have deleted the update, done a cold reboot, re-downloaded and tried again, but it doesn't work... and now my old shortcuts etc. to itunes have disappeared! Any suggestions please?

    I have just installed HTML DB stand alone release on my W2000 9.2.0.5 database.
    The install process worked fine.
    But the HTML DB online help doesn't work. when i click on the help icon the popup is there but with no contents.
    When i click on the link:
    Find (initial index creation may take several seconds)
    This errors appears:
    Error creating online help index.
    ORA-29273: HTTP request failed ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1022 ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist
    I thought that my oracle text was not or improperly installed because the CTXSYS account was locked. So i decided to reinstall it but with no success.
    I decided to reinstall HTML DB (local install this time)but again it doesn't work
    I searched in the forum, but it seems that nobody had meet the same issue, except HTMLDB.com (reinstall of oracle text was the solution)
    I would like to try this new product but with the online help

    Just to clarify why this is happening this way.
    The online help contents are not loaded nor indexed at installation time. In a new installation, the very first time the help window is displayed and you click the 'Find' link, the help contents will be fetched and indexed using Oracle Text. They are fetched via HTTP by GETting them from the Oracle HTTP Server (they are static files under the images hierarchy, after all).
    The URLs to fetch the help documents are constructed using the SERVER_NAME CGI environment variable as a component of the URL. So at indexing time, the database will issue HTTP GET requests to a specific URL, and if this URL cannot be located or the name not resolved, then issues will arise like you have witnessed.

    This implies your site is not properly defined in DW.  Go to Site > Manage Sites.
    Or simply go to your other installation of DW and export the site definition file from Manage Sites.
    Save it to a flash stick or other removable drive.  Then import the STE file into your 2nd installation of  DW.

    Sound like a trackpad problem and not an iPhoto one.  Have you asked in the forum dedicated to the Mac model you're using or is this an add on trackpad?

    It will work if you have a rescue email address, if you don't have one then, as it says on that page, you will need to contact iTunes Support to get the questions reset.

    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use,

    If you want Bridge CS6 to open when using Photoshop CS6, you must quit Bridge CC.
    Then File menu > Browse in Bridge will bring up Bridge CS6.
    If Bridge CC is already open, The File > Browse in Bridge for Photoshop CS6 will use Bridge CC and Bridge CS6 will not open.

    What I have read up is that Cisco can detect the fax tones. What I would like to do is route all inbound faxes to a viop dial-peer and all voice to another e1 port.
