Online pre-order never made it to the store

 Hi BBU,
 I placed an online pre-order for the "guilty gear xrd sign limited edition" for ps3 (sku: 9317061) on 11/20/14. A few days later I needed to change the payment method, but couldn't, so I had to place a new order for the same item on 12/11/14, and cancel the old order. For both orders I selected to have the item sent to Store 513 (Northlake, GA) for pick up.
   On the 22nd I received an email stating that the item would be ready for pick on the 23rd, which was the official release date for the game, but when I went to the store to pick the game up it wasn't there and nobody knew what happened to it. While I was still in the store I called the "888 best buy" number to see if I could get any information from them. They spoke to one of the associates in the store, who then told me that they would try to find out what happened to the item, and see if they could order a replacement. They said that they would call me later to update me on the situation, but they never called back. Later that day I called the 888 number again and the person I spoke to was able to contact the store again to try and get the situation sorted out. I was again told that the store would give me a call with more information, but that call never came.
   The next morning, 12/24, I received an email stating that the item was going to be available for pick up, and as of writing this the order status still shows "ready for pickup."  This time I called the store to verify, and once again they told me they didn't know where the item was or what happened to it. I then called the 888 number to see if I could get any information from them, but the person I spoke to was rude and barely let me finish explaining the situation. When I was finally able to finish explaining she simply told me there was nothing she could do since the item is out of stock, and I should just cancel the order and buy it somewhere else.
 I don't know if the order can be replaced, but I just wanted to know if I could get a more definitive answer from someone about what happened to my item so I can prevent this from happening again.

Admittedly, I’m not too familiar with Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-, but I’ve seen a decent amount of posts about it! I know the Limited Editions of games like this are usually pretty sought after, so I’m very sorry to hear that you may not have received a copy, especially if you pre-ordered. I’m happy to research this and offer an explanation as to why this may have occurred.
Using your email address on file for the forums, I was able to locate your pre-order. From what I can see, the pre-order has been cancelled, which is likely do to you not picking up your copy. Furthermore, it appears the stores in your area may have not received inventory for this title, which is likely due to inventory constraints since it’s a Limited Edition version of the game. When looking on BestBuy.com, I do also see the Limited Edition is sold out.
Again, I sincerely apologize if you pre-ordered and didn’t receive a copy. We do our absolute best to fulfill all pre-orders placed with us, but, there may be times where constrained inventory may result in some pre-orders not being fulfilled.

    Good question! Both in-store and online pre-orders can be picked up during the midnight opening events at participating locations. Our Chico, CA location is also slated to be hosting one, but full details can be found here. You should receive a pickup confirmation notice shortly before the event, so make sure to keep an eye on both your inbox and junk mail folders for additional communication.

  • Wii U Online Pre-Order

    Hi,
    I noticed that the Wii U is coming out on a Sunday (11/18), the same day as the Best Buy weekly ad is published.  I was wondering if Best Buy could make sure that online pre-orders receive any possible promotions that the 11/18 weekly ad has (if there is a promotion), since that didn't automatically occur when for existing pre-orders when the 3DS XL came out.

    Use a different device.
    Adobe did not develop Flash for iOS devices and has ended all Flash development for all mobile devices.
    You could try a different browser from the App store such as Skyfire or iSwifter.

  • I have pre-ordered a few songs over the last few months

    I have pre-ordered a few songs over the last few months like most people. I have checked for new downloads within the itunes store but nothing shows up. I've got the emailed links & have clicked on them, when it opens into itunes I am asked more than once to imput my card details as a billing info screen pops up. Now there is enough cash in the account to pay for these songs. I do not understand what is going on & I am getting rather frustrated by this! I've emailed apple but didnt seem to help me much last time! Anyone got any idea what i could do before i end up crying!

    I would since it is more global than Verizon.  AT&T works in more than 200 countries worldwide.  Also talk to AT&T about an International Data Plan for it so your wireless statement will not be as high without it.

    Make sure that you can access the Internet on your computer or device.
    Make sure that your computer meets the iTunes minimum system requirements.
    Make sure that your operating system is up-to-date:

    When I called Apple (after wating 42 min. for a live person) I was told to run the APPLE Software Update and turn off location services then restart my computer.  There were no available updates. The iPod touch I got on Christmas day.  The iTunes app was downloaded the same day.  Since day 1 I have not been able to connect.  I also followed lllaass's advice and followed instructions on the following 2 websites.

    After restarting my computer:
    From the iTunes app I click on the 'iTunes Store'
    A new window opens and I get the following message:

    Welcome to the iTunes Store
    With an Apple ID, you can download the latest music, videos, and more.
    To begin creating your Apple ID, click Continue.
    So I click on 'Continue'
    A pop up window says:
    We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202).
    There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later.
    And the only option I am left with is to click 'OK'
    After every fix this same scenerio just loops and loops and loops

    You can't order a MBP with a German keyboard from the United States online store, and you can't order a machine online and have it delivered to an Apple Store to be held for you. You could order a machine with one of the keyboard options that are available in the USA and have it delivered to the home or business of a trusted colleague or friend in the USA, but you couldn't get a German keyboard.

  • Why can't I cancel online pre-orders?

    I am trying to cancel an online order that I made recently, it is a pre-order for a game that releases in September and for some reason it gives me the option to cancel, but i am not allowed to check mark it. Is there any reason why I am not allowed to cancel a pre-order?  I pre-order things right away just in case I want them but I do end up canceling some of them.  This is the second time now I have had to send an e-mail out to [email protected] to cancel a pre-order. The first time they took care of it the same day and told me sorry for the glitch in the system as everyone is always able to cancel pre-orders.  However, this time it has taken over 2 days and I still haven't received a response.  I also know I am not the only one with the cancellation problem as i have a friend that shops at bestbuy.com and he also can't cancel the same pre-orders.

  • Online Pre-Order

    So I have pre ordered two copies of advanced warfare for me and my friend online, and we chose pick up at store. Now that we have pre-ordered, we are questioning whether our games will be available at the midnight release or if we have to wait until sometime within the couple weeks after to get it. We pre-ordered the day zero edition, so we're supposed to get it a day early. We would really like to go to the midnight release, but we're not sure about this. Help?

    No need to worry! Customers who have pre-ordered their copies of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for store pickup should, indeed, be able to pickup their copies at Day Zero midnight opening events in their area. Since you placed your order on BestBuy.com, you should receive a pickup notification message as soon as on-site reps have physically set both copies aside for you. Just remember to bring  both your order number(s) and a valid photo ID with you -- they'll be required to pick the games up.

  • Can I pick up GTA V at midnight with online pre-order?

    So I preordered online for in store pickup and I received an email today saying that my order is ready for pickup.
    I was wondering if I could go to the midnight release and pick up the game or do I have to wait until the following the morning?

    Tonight is a big night for gamers and I know plenty of people are excited!
    Since you've already received your email confirmation you can absolutely show up at the midnight opening as long as your store is holding one and pick up your pre-ordered copy. There should be one waiting for you at customer service with your name on it.

  • Pre-ordering iPhone 6 and keeping the same number.

    I currently have an iPhone 4S and want to pre-order the iPhone 6 for delivery as it saves me going to the apple store to just be told they're sold out. I want to keep my same mobile number is this an option on pre-ordering from the apple site or do I have to go via my mobile company and order a sim / or iPhone from them.

    With the major carriers - AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile in the USA - the phone is shipped with a SIM card keyed to your current number.  When you activate the phone after receiving it, service automatically transfers to your new phone, without having to contact your carrier.

    iTunes don't charge until the book is released, between pre-ordering and release you can cancel pre-orders - you won't get an emailed receipt until the book is released and you've paid for it.

    So a question about activation, in case anyone knows. I used "my" upgrade several months ago to buy the 3GS. We want to use my husband's upgrade to purchase this one, but I am going to use it and my husband is going to use the 3GS. Therefore, I don't want the phone activated to his info. I am wondering if we just need to do this at the store, or if I order under his account, can I just sync it to my iTunes to get it to be my phone? In other words, I don't want them to go ahead and add the iPhone plan to his line (he's not currently on iPhone plan).
