Online Purchase - How to swap upgrades?
Hello, I am planning to purchase the iPhone 6 on VZW.com on Friday when it comes available for pre-order. My line is not available for an upgrade but 2 other lines on my family plan are eligible (I have permission to use one of the upgrades). Is there an option to swap an upgrade before I log on that night to place the order? Or do I need to upgrade it from that line when ordering online?
Also, if I am unable to swap, how do I activate the phone when I receive it on my line rather than the line that the upgrade was eligible on?

I also have a very similar question as well. My line is eligible for upgrade in early October. My wife's line on our family share plan has been eligible for upgrade almost forever, it seems. Of course, my current plan is to upgrade to iPhone 6 using wife's line, then once activated on her line, use the online Verizon line switch configurator.
Is it easier to activate the new iPhone 6 on wife's line, then switch lines using the online configurator, or can the switch be done DURING the activation process somehow once I receive the new phone?
Or, as in the above question, can I transfer the upgrade to my line?

Download it from the App Store as Matt suggested. You may have to move the current version to the Trash Bin (don't delete yet), go to the App Store and look for iPhoto 9.6 under purchases. It will be free.
What iPhoto version did you have prior to the Yosemite upgrade? If it was iPhoto 7 (08) or earlier you'll also have to download and run the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 on your library before opening it with iPhoto 9.6. -

You first must upgrade to Snow Leopard. In order to upgrade to Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks you first must upgrade to Snow Leopard. Your model should be able to run Mavericks which you can download for free.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
Snow Leopard General Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
2. 1GB of memory
3. 5GB of available disk space
4. DVD drive for installation
5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
fees may apply.
6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
terms apply.
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)

Upgrading to Mavericks
You can upgrade to Mavericks from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mavericks can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.
Upgrading to Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Mavericks from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mavericks is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

Remember to do the following before starting the upgrade process:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Restart the computer from the Apple menu.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -
I just purchase an IPhone5C to upgrade from my IPhone4, but I do not know how to get all of my photos that were on ICloud on my Photo Stream (875 photos), on to my new phone. I thought that since my 5C can see Icloud that all photos would be there... Can someone help me get the pics from my Iphone4 to the 5C?
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device. -

not sure you can get "student discount" for this app. you will have to ask more detail from your Apple representative.
when you click/ order some merchandise from the Apple store (https://store.apple.com), there's link at bottom of page (like "Apple Store US," "Education Store," "Business," or "Government Store"). you click on the [Education Store] & in the prompt you enter the name of your university/school. but Logic Pro is not purchased here.
you have to purchase Logic Pro from the App Store... and APP store doesn't have [Education Store] link. so your Apple representative in Prague may have a different way to complete this. or Apple World Wide. -

Apple formerly ran a program that allowed you to replace DRM songs with non-DRM versions for 30 cents apiece. That program was discontinued by Apple last year.
You can still upgrade now, but it requires subscribing to iTunes Match and following the instructions by which to delete your DRM copy and download the non-DRM (iTunes Plus) matched copy. Two things you can do now:
1.) Add all of these files into iTunes by using "Add to Library" and selecting the iTunes Media folder. This is the easiest method, but you lose your original iTunes settings, playlists, play counts, ratings, etc.
2.) A slightly more advanced method however will let you salvage your iTunes library and restore it the way it was before. Use finder to look at Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries. In that folder, check to see if there is one dated near today's date (or when the reset happened to you). If there is a very recent one, you can restore to that date. What you'll want to do is take that file, and MOVE it back up one level to the iTunes folder.
Currently in your iTunes folder is a file named iTunes Library (this is the active, and blank one) and now you should have the dated one as well. You can DELETE the iTunes Library one, and rename the dated one "iTunes Library".
Then hold OPTION while loading iTunes, and when asked to choose a library, select Choose Library, and navigate to Music/iTunes, and pick the "iTunes Library" file you just moved and renamed.
If all goes well, your songs, playlists, ratings, and etc. should all be back to the way it was. Just do "Add to Library" and select the iTunes Media folder to make sure nothing was excluded between the backup and your copy before it reset.

Just purchased and downloaded pe 13. While installing, I found out pe13 is not compatible with my OSX 7.5 system. Any Idea's on how to swap for pe 12? It's not available on the Adobe web site. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Adobe is not going to swap 13 for 12. It is selling only 13 download as you found out. So, you are going to have to purchase 12 if you want to use that program. It may still be available at some retail locations, such as Amazon.

If they are the grey discs which came with the iMac, then they will be machine specific and will not work on the MBP anyway. You will need to purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard from the Apple Store for about $29 and upgrade from that. I presume your MBP is Intel and not G4.
