Online Review Issues
We do a lot web-based review of pdf versions of original Word
documents. The usual process is following a review cycle, the
comments in the pdf file are exported to the parent Word document.
The problem I am facing is that once the comments are in the Word
document, the integration step fails...crashing the word
application. The crash occurs randomly, after x number of 'accept
change' steps or even after 'change all at once...' step. The
result is that we have to manually incorporate the comments into
the word document...which takes hours and even days, and defeats
one of the main purposes of the electronic review process...Any
help?

Replies to comments not stored during online review
Hi @ all,
we are using Adobe Acrobat X for online Reviews.
Some users told us, that the comments are stored correctly and permanently but when a user put some replies to exisiting comments they sometime will not be stored and get lost.
Is this behavior maybe a known issue for specific Acrobat X versions?

Annotation tool disabled in online review
Hi,
We have a rather old online review system which still uses Adobe Live Cycle Reader Extensions 7.0. We can still use annotations with Adobe Reader up to version X, but starting with version XI, the annotation tools appear disabled:
It might be a backwards compatibility issue, but is there a know fix or workaround?

R.I would guess that this is an IAC/OLE limitation. When you embed an application within the browser host control end up with a representation of the application that is usually not as fully featured as the standalone application.

Sharepoint 2013 online mobile issue.
Dear all,
When I try to fill out a form in mobile view on the iphone or android phone, the person or group column doesn't work at all.
And when I try to approve a workflow I created with 2010 workflow, the page is just blank.
basically everything is so broken under mobile view, but works under pc view on the phone.
Anyone has any quick fix to this? I really need the mobile view to work properly. I know I can disable the mobile view, but I have to keep it. Thanks.

According to your post, my understanding is that you had Sharepoint 2013 online mobile issues.
Please make sure you configure the mobile view correctly. You can refer to:

HI,
I have setup online ICE synication for KM content from one system to another.
I deleted all KM contents from the target system so that fresh copy of contents will be pushed from source system
However i see only the delta components are getting pushed to target(i mean only the new files are getting pushed) but not old files.
Can you tell me how do i fix this issue so that contents are in sync in both source and target systems?

Maybe go over your config again, review your offer that you have setup. Make sure the content path is correct. Under the delivery rules and transfer volume, make sure there are no restrictions and on subscriptions make sure there is no restriction on max size.
The other option you have, is to do a transport of the current KM content and just have ICE do the deltas as is currently happening, but this is not the best solution.
I'm looking over my own config, I don't see a setting where it only says to pickup the new deltas only.
You can also turn up the debugging on the system so you can view the ICE logs in the trace files.

Macbook Pro on 10.5.8 online banking issues, + failed verify... help!

I could not sign in to my online banking (it would sign me back out immediately), and I was told by the bank IT that it is malicious software of some type on my machine.
I ran the Sophos scan (Sophos still supports 10.5.8 until April 2014) and it found nothing.
In disk utilities, I ran "verify" and it came up with:
-Invalid volume file count.
-Invalid volume directory count
-Error:Filesystem verify or repair failed.
I have read through The Safe Mac, very helpful... I also disabled Java in both Firefox and Safari. This could be a source for the issues.
I do back up using time machine quite religiously... I am very worried about wiping and re-installing, I have a ton of inter-dependent software working beautifully, and cannot update any of the programs because nothing will work if even one of these programs is updated. So I really am married to 10.5.8, and this particular computer.
I realize it is time to bring my Mac completely offline permanently.
Any help or suggestions as to how to best proceed to keep it happy and keep what I currently have would be great.
Thanks guys/gals!A "live verify" (ie, a verify performed on the currently-running system drive) in Disk Utility is unreliable. It's likely that you have a problem, but not guaranteed. You'll need to repair the hard drive at a minimum. Instructions are here:

In my experience, repairs aren't always that reliable. In addition, I've been told that modern drives do not have these kinds of problems unless they are failing, but have no personal knowledge relating to that and don't know whether your five-year-old drive would be considered "modern." In any case, though, if it were me, I would probably erase the hard drive and restore from backups if I were you, rather than relying on a repair.
If the repair can't be completed, or if erasing the hard drive doesn't work, or if the problem comes back after erasing or repairing, then the drive is probably failing and will need to be replaced.
Regarding the bank issue, I believe this is either an error on the part of your bank or represents an attempt to hack your bank account remotely. If I were you, I would demand (politely, but firmly) an explanation of what the bank saw that they are identifying as malicious.
I honestly don't know how the bank could possibly identify malicious access, unless they noticed an attempted access from a weird IP address (for example, from an IP address in a different country or belonging to an identity-hiding service), which would indicate a hack not involving your computer. If malware on your computer was attempting access to your bank site, it wouldn't really look any different than a normal access attempt to the bank's site. -
How to fix Online help issue with F1

I think you already know this issue : when using a proxy, Online help is not working on Adobe Reader XI.
message displayed : "Online Help content cannot be displayed. Verify you can launch your web browser and have access to the Internet."
I already checked on this forum and tried some things to fix this, but without any success :
- try to add the registry key FeatureState -> not working
- check if IE is correctly defined as default browser -> it is

I tried removing the columnStretching although my requirement really requires this but no effect really happens even if I remove this.
Based on my investigation on the generated HTML, I notice the following items:
1. A table is being wrapped in a div that is being set at a fixed height.
2. On first load, if your autoheight rows is set to 6, the framework is setting a height of 96px to the div. This height would almost cut the last row of the table.
3. If you try to refresh the page or try to re-PPR the component, the framework resets it to 102px which causes the last row to be fully displayed.
My only concern is that IE is perfectly displaying this while Chrome and FF are having problem.
Based on my understanding, the framework is messing up the height only on first load. Not sure but this is how I see it. I am really not confident also on my findings
and I would most likely hear other's comment.

I have a system that opens PDF files in the browser incorrectly. The PDF makes the background transparent in Internet Explorer v. 9.0. I can open the document in reader/acrobat standalone and it displays fine, it only has an issue when used with the browser. I would normally just have the user download the pdf but the documents they are looking at require them to be online to view.
I just found on other thread. I tried this and it helped solve view the contents. I other words this resolved.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste (command-V) into the text box that opens, then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
I've seen an unconfirmed report that the "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you might need to remove it as well, if applicable.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
Database online backup issue after ERP 6.0 EHP4 update

Online Albums Issues with PSE7
Does PSE7 offer a way to save online albums directly to my hard drive instead of just uploading them to Photoshop.com or to another website via FTP? Unlike PSE6, PSE7 doesn't seem to offer that option (at least, I couldn't find it)
And can anyone tell me what happened to all the standard, medium thumbnail online album templates (for example, black background with matrix of thumbnails on left with single large image on right)? PSE6 offered them, but PSE7 doesn't.
Must I purchase a Photoshop.com PLUS membership ($50) to get these templates (which came free with PSE6)? If so, how often are new templates delivered. The website just says "you'll get new templates delivered to your software on a regular basis?" Does that mean daily? weekly? monthly? semi-annually??

PSE7 doesn't seem to be an upgrade at all
it seems to offer FEWER features than PSE6
with never-ending plugs for photoshop.com plus membership
I plan to downgrade to PSE6 to get the template I want
and to be able to save my projects directly to my hard drive

Adobe pdf online view issue- End user license agreement
There is an issue with viewing adobe pdf online.
I just found on other thread. I tried this and it helped solve view the contents. I other words this resolved.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste (command-V) into the text box that opens, then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
I've seen an unconfirmed report that the "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you might need to remove it as well, if applicable.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
Hi,
I got a new Canon 100d recently which was working fine until a week ago. I now have the problem of the photo review (set for 2 secs) not working. Also when I change setting on the dial, I don't see the options on the touch screen anymore, it's just blank. Rarely, they flash for a second and don't come up again when I switch between review and taking pictures using the play button at the bottom as it used to do. Has anyone faced this issue and please post a solution if you have experienced this issue please. Thanks.Check out solution from dpreview. I am not sure if that would work yet:

First time posting an issue, these forums have been such a great help that I haven't needed anything else yet.
Anyway, I have a post up at the EVE-Online forums stating the following:
I am using Arch32 currently and have issues with the Minmatar Stargates. Every time I get within 1500m of a gate, my client completely freezes for 20 to 25 seconds then becomes available for about 3 to 5 seconds before freezing up again.
Has anyone else had an issue with Arch Linux and Eve? I have tried it with Ubuntu 7.10, but feel like ubuntu runs extremely slow on my computer after a few days.
Anyway, I am using Wine .9.4.56-1 with the premium install (premium content disabled).
I have searched the forums, tried several things and to no avail. Docked is great, space is great, gates really suck!
Help me out please?!

EDIT 2: I compiled WINE 0.9.57 from the source tar.gz on winehq.com and still getting the same errors/stargate issues.

Now, I haven't had a chance to check any other stargates, but I know there have to be a few Arch users that have had some experience with EVE-Online.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I have tried everything i could find for settings and such on the Wine App DB and also on the EVE-Online forums to no avail.

GnunixGuyI've been playing eve-online since November on wine as a Minmatar and I haven't come across any freezing issues with their gates. My system is an AMD Athlon-XP 2600+ system with a 128MB 6600gt video card using wine-0.9.57. Have you tried http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys ? I have OffscreenRenderingMode set to fbo and VideoMemorySize set to use my full graphics memory. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I haven't used Captivate Reviewer before so I am testing it out. I will be sending out a module to a group of individuals for feedback and wanted to get down the steps for them. The individuals that will be commenting on the module cannot save comments in one location so I was going to have them export their comments, email them to me and then I would import them all and see what feedback they had. When testing it, I export the comment file then try to import and I get the message shown to the right.
I'm trying to find an "easy" way to collect everyone's comments without having to search through the xml file to find them.
Does anyone have any ideas?
