I am trying to hook up my Airport Express to my current network and AirPort Extreme but keep getting the same error message: "This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Any thoughts?
This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express. -
Contacting Apple Technical Support online?
Wasted $10 on an app required for my son for High School, it stopped working after 6 months, contacted iTunes for a refund as it is the App that is ****! not the ipad, they refused to assist, told me I need to contact Apple Technical Support, how does one do this online???
The reviews in the AppStore also show that you're not alone in this freezing immediately after launching the app.
Some users have reported the latest update released 2 days ago (v2.0.1) fixes it for them. Otherwise you'll have to wait until Apple releases another bug fix version.
You could try sending feedback on the issue to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Make sure to include all relevant info about which exact devices and which versions of iOS and the Pages app. -
Help - I keep getting this message when trying to install iTunes on my computer - I have tried it on 2 different computers - one with Windows 7 and one with Vista - getting same message for both.
"An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC.80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32".publicKeyToken="1fc8 b3b9a1e3b".process orArchitecture="x86"".Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736FD.

Are you running Vista or Windows 7, josh? -
How can I administer a Gen1 Airport Express from, my MacPro (OS 10.9, Airport Utility 6.3.2). I can see the Express in the WiFi window but from the Airport Utility I get the following message: " This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Of course there's nothing of value on the support page. Any clues anyone?
Apple has dropped support in Mavericks (10.9) of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme models that were discontinued more than six years ago.
You can still administer the older AirPort models if you have a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC. -

I am trying to download iTunes for my ipod touch. Everytime I start the installation proccess I get this error message
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32".version="8.0.50727.4053",publicKeyToken="1fc8b 3b 9a1e 8b 3b", processorArchitecture="amd64"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070BC9
after this error pops up and I click ok the installer back tracks then installs.. my ipod cannot connect with the iTunes that is installed it says I need to uninstall and install iTunes with 64 bit..
I've tried this 3 times and get the same result.. please help ! thanksThese ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80070BC9, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?) -
I am trying to redeem my iTunes account with a gift card and it keeps coming up with "the Gift certificate or prepaid card code you entered has not been properly activated. Please contact iTunes customer support for assistance" what does this mean?
It all comes down to contact iTunes customer support for assistance.

I am trying to update my Airport Extreme. I go into the Airport Utility and this is the message attached I get when clicking on it.
"This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." That;s it.
I guess I can hard reset it, but this seems weird. Any advice would be nice.
Thank you.Dear Bob, I have same problem:
"This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information."
My MBAir is running OSX 10.9.3 and the AIrPort Extreme I'm trying to use is A1143.

If both of you are Windows 7. Make sure you go to Windows update (START button, type in Windows Update). Check for updates and update whatever that are available. (especially Microsoft .NET Framework 4 )
After that see if you still get this error message.
The last resort would be to unistall and reinstall the whole thing.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -
