Online Services not Initialized
I have installed Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 on my MAC and while the installation appears to have been successful I get the following error message every time I open the Organizer:
Online Services could not be initialized. Please reinstall. Or press OK to continue without online services.
Does anyone have suggestions for me?
Wowee
A good Internet connection is essential, but, if you have that, have your tried to refresh the Online Services via Edit Menu/Preferences/Web Sharing (that is the Windows route).
I am not sure what the Premiere Elements Mac counterpart would be, but I would assume that it would be wherever the Premiere Elements Mac preferences are available.
Please update us on your progress.
Thanks.

Netflix and other online services not showing on mainscreen
I had a bad surprise today on my AppleTV. When I started AppleTV, the main screen now only showed Settings and Computers icons. I do not see Music, Movies, Netflix, NHL, etc. icons anymore. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
Thank you,Hi vazandrew,
Thank you, but just a little bit to complicated for me. How can I ensure that I am on my ISPs DNS?
After chacking my Apple TV menu I can only find "Reset" and "Restore", but no "Restart". So how can I perform a "Restart"?
Finally, is there a sequence for the restart process (i.e. router before device)? Presently, my iPod connects with Internet perfectly.
And if you still got time, what caused that problem so I can avoid it in the future?
Thank you, -
Elements 11 Organiser no online services
Installed both Photoshop and Premiere Elements 11. On starting organiser I get message saying 'Online services not initiated. Re install...' i've done this twice (uninstalled and then reinstalled) but same message. Using Windows 7.
DavidPlease uninstall PSE from your machine. After uninstalling make sure to delete following folders (last folder mentioned in hierarchy) if present:
-C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Online Services
-C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\10.0
While installing PSE10, right click on 'setup.exe' (located inside folder: PhotoshopElements) and select 'Run as Admin' and install PSE.

When opening PE 11, error message : online services could not be initialized. Please reinstall appears. Reinstalls does not fix problem. What do I do next?
You should be able to launch without ols. Can you try directly from the application in the following location:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11
Double click on:
PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Let us know if that works.
If not, try downloading the missing file from the following link (it says PSE10 but should work) and unzip the folder to extract the file and drag it into the assets folder.
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/welcome-screen-keeps-running-auto.html
If that doesn’t work I would suggest uninstalling via the control panel and installing from a fresh download. You can download the free trial from this link and then validate with your serial number.

I just installed photoshop elements 11 on my Mac and am receiving an error when opening the organizer. It is stating that online services could not be initialized and that I need to reinstall. I tried that and it is still coming up. What do I do?
How did you uninstall it?

Running PSE 11 on Mac 10.8.3 but get Online Services could not be initialized, please reinstall. Have reinstalled but get same message. Organizer WILL open but I'm wondering what I can do to fix this?
Where are you getting this message? In the organizer, the editor, or the welcome screen? If in the organizer, try going to the preferences>partner services and clicking the Refresh button.
If from the welcome screen, launch the editor from the applications folder and make a dock icon for that, and skip the welcome entirely. The visible file in applications>Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 is not the editor. You want this one:
The one at the top level is an alias for the welcome screen, which is best avoided. -
'Hi, On opening organiser on Elements 12, I get " Online services could not be initialized. Please reinstall. Press ok to continue without online services" And I can't open Editor. Where do I go to to reinstall and how??
Message was edited by: Taylor CossonWhat computer operating system are you using? If Windows go to:
C:\Users\99jon\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Online Services
Inside the Online Services folder delete the Photoshop Elements 12.0.0 folder.
Re-launch Organizer and OLS should get recreated.
N.B substitute your user name for 99jon. If you can’t find AppData you may first need to enable the showing of hidden system files.
Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.
Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK. -
Elements 8 will not initialize online services
I have just upgraded and installed Elements 8 I am running Windows 7. When I start the organizer it will not initialize online services preventing me from using Photomail. I have attempted using Adobe Email Client and also sending as an attachment, neither has been successful.
Please help.
Thank you!
[email protected]Can you describe more about what you mean by it not initializing online services?
Are you getting any kind of error message? -
PSE11 initializing online services error on mac
Getting "Online services could not be initialized" error on organizer startup PSE 11 for mac.
Uninstalled and reinstalled as instructed to no avail.
Read all post and cannot eliminate issue.
Please advise, thanks.What are these online services you are trying to log into? Without knowing this, it is unlikely anybody can help you here because PSE doesn't need to go online at all. When your license is activated and you have updated your product, you don't need to be online all the time because updates don't get released everyday.

" . . . product is not yet supported by this online service"
I need support for my new iMac and get this when entering my serial number: " . . . product is not yet supported by this online service." Please tell me what went wrong and how to get support. I chatted with them yesterday and we did a restore. Since it took a couple of hours, I thought that I would return today to finish the issues.

"Cipher not initialized" when trying to invoke CRM On Demand web service
Hi,
I'm try to invoke CRM On Demand web service for which there is a pre-req to get a session ID by making an https request. I've the below java embedded code which does that. It works fine if I run the below code in my desktop as a java program, but when I deploy it on SOA 11g I get "Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cipher not initialized" error (find below the stack trace). Please let me know what's going wrong here?
String sessionString = "FAIL";
String wsLocation =
"https://secure-********.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration";
String headerName;
try {
// create an HTTPS connection to the OnDemand webservices
java.net.URL wsURL =
new java.net.URL(wsLocation + "?command=login");
java.net.HttpURLConnection wsConnection =
(java.net.HttpURLConnection)wsURL.openConnection();
// disable caching
wsConnection.setUseCaches(false);
// set some http headers to indicate the username and password we are using to logon
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("UserName",
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("Password", "***********");
wsConnection.setRequestMethod("GET");
// see if we got a successful response
if (wsConnection.getResponseCode() ==
java.net.HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK) {
// get the session id from the cookie setting
for (int i = 0; ; i++) {
headerName = wsConnection.getHeaderFieldKey(i);
if (headerName != null &&
headerName.equals("Set-Cookie")) {
// found the Set-Cookie header (code assumes only one cookie is being set)
sessionString = wsConnection.getHeaderField(i);
if (sessionString != null ||
sessionString.startsWith("JSESSIONID")) {
break;
String formattedID =
sessionString.substring(sessionString.indexOf("=") + 1,
sessionString.indexOf(";"));
setVariableData("SessionID", formattedID);
//System.out.println("Session ID: " + sessionString);
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
setVariableData("SessionID", e.getMessage());
System.out.println("Logon Exception generated :: " + e);
throw new RuntimeException(e);

Thanks!Same question...did you ever got this resolved...for me, even the simple java program, when run on JDev 11g is ALSO not working. I am getting this.
Using JDev 10g on the same machine (or for that matter SOA 10g) works perfectly.
Have posted this thread too - Getting SSLHandshakeException when trying to login to OCOD using Jdev 11g
Thanks,

Storing PDF documents not using online services
I want to create PDF documents but do not want them stored online or use online services since I bought the PDF package.
Im wanting to know is there a setting to turn off so that my documents are not stored/saved online.What PDF package? Well, all online services do store data online until you delete them.
If you do not want to do anything online, use Acrobat. -
