Online Video Player Problems - UK Users?

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one, not sure if it belongs in this category but not sure where else it would fit into.
For UK users, I'm having problems playing video content on Channel 4 catch up (which uses flash). BBC iplayer, youtube, itv etc etc are fine but Channel 4's wont work...
Updated flash again to no success.

Video playback involves quite a lot of data usage, so if you ensure you have as few background apps running as possible you will get less problems, I watch about 30 minutes video every lunch time at work on N97 and don't have a problem (and as a result I am also shorter of C memory than you) Try Ramblow on your phone which can boost Ram and may help your phone get through a full Video without a problem, some meory management may be easier than a hard reset, and involve a lot less work !

Hello.
I have purchased new nokia c2-03, and i thought the phone would b awesome as its a nokia product. But this phone disappointed me a lot. The phone has good features being a low cost phone. But the main problem is it can't stream online videos. Its very strange to belive, i never thought that NOKIA could b so careless please nokia solve this streaming problem in next firmware update..

I Am Sorry. In fact had the DST setting to + 1:0 and I changed to 12:0 am; As the clock time was delayed, because in Portugal we are indeed in summer time!, I changed the time directly. Unfortunately the reminders remain with an hour of advance. The alarm clock that is set crescento for 7:15 minutes as the set initially and never changed. The first reminder has been set for the 7:15 but is now changed to 6:15 due to this error. Does anyone have any suggestions other than modify all reminders. I would add that the Firmware of the Nokia C2 03 est actualized to a V7.48.

Lamento. De facto tinha a definição de hora de verão para +1hora e alterei para 0horas;
Como a hora do relógio ficou atrasada, pois em Portugal estamos de facto na hora de verão!, alterei directamente a hora.
Lamentavelmente os lembretes continuam com uma hora de avanço.
A crescento que o despertador está definido para as 7:15 minutos como o defini inicialmente e nunca sofreu alterações. O primeiro lembrete foi definido para as 7:15 mas está alterado para as 6:15 devido a este erro.
Será que alguém tem alguma sugestão que não seja modificar todos os lembretes.
Acrescento que o Firmware do Nokia C2 03 está actualizado para a V7.48.

C7 Video Player Problem after upgrading to Symbian...

I have updated my C7 to symbian anna ( v 22.0014 ) , got all 4 update packs installed . But video player can't play the videos completely, it plays them upto half & then stops with a error message " Unable to play media clip ".
These videos are converted according to c7 & played nicely before the anna .Same thing happens to the videos downloaded from ovi store .
Any solution ? or the way to go back to the old video player from v 14.02 ?

No sorry i meant you may have to remove all the videos from your phone and try to add them again.
If i was you i would:
Back up the videos i had to my pc.
Re-install the software via OVI suite.
Then try putting one video on the phone and seeing how i went.
The problem is either with the software or a specific corrupted video causing the entire video directory not to read properly.
Try that see how you go.

Asha 311 Video Player Problem.. Please Help !

hello everyone
asha 311 video player plays most of the formats but cannot play's next video when pressing Next (next to play/pause)
the repeat, shuffle fuction is useless, why this 2 function is there if its going to play one video and wont play next one !? how its gonna shuffle the same file !
cant create playlist for videos and this is really annoying! what nokia thinking before lauching this type of software ! even nokia 112 and others have great video/music player features
i am really annoyed by this.. i added some kids rymes, poems videos in mSD card and into asha 311 and i gave it to my 3 year old neice..
i started the first file and later 30 min when i came back, she watching the same first video again and again ! its just 2 min video, she unable to watch next videos ! have to go back to main, select video, search that file and play... again and again for different videos ! this is really nonsense from nokia !
so please help me to fix this issue or please give me the link of other video player software for asha 311, i googled and found some stupid softwares..

Yep, can confirm same problem here, since latest update (2.1.0.1088), the movies I have on my PB cannot play anymore (error message: ''This file is not supported''). Same movies did work / play with previous version.
Somebody has some clues why?

N8 video player problem

Hi,
I tried putting an *.avi video on my n8 but it does not show up in videos. If I browse through File Manager and try to play the video it says:
General:
System Error
(I've never had this problem before the new Videos update, but again I remembered that I had no *.avi videos before.)
I don't know what happened. I've tried pressing power button for around 10 sec and playing the video again, but it doesn't work. Shows same prob.
And it only plays audio and no video on *.mkv file types.
Any help?

I have had the audio playing but no video with a few videos... it is frustrating but I guess they weren't using the codecs that N8 is compatible with.
I also played a realplayer video and it lagged horribly while the audio played fine
I hope the codec support is updated in the near future.

- Dynamically load and display these movieclips - one after

Online videos (e.g. YouTube) and high cpu usage

Hi guys. When I am loading an online video player site like YouTube, my cpu usage is about 88-90% !!!
I know that videos are using a big part of cpu but I think that 88-90% it's a huge part
My CPU: 1.60M Pentium HP Laptop with CPU Scaling enabled. Any ideas? Thanks

Flash Player crashes when watching online video on Win 7

Hi.
I have just built a new machine and it's got a pretty good spec but I've been having this problem since I installed windows 7.
I have tried 64-bit first and then 32-bit version but still had the same problem.
I can be watchingonline content such as a programme on BBC iplayer or 4OD ( or any other site you'd care to mention) and at some point the whole screen freezes and i'm left with no choice but to press the reset button.
I'm fairly confident that i've narrowed this problem down to flash player (but not 100% sure).
This will occur several time per day & is driving me nuts. Everything else about the machine works great but online videos are a nightmare.
Any suggestions anyone?

No, nothing works.
Just went in to event viewer and it's saying something about an atikmdag error.
Been googling and this seems to be linked to ati video cards.
also stuff about Kernel 41 error but from what i can figure out.. this is a very generalised error.
Maybe it's not flash? But why does it only happen during streaming?
Getting wound up with this.
Want to buy a new videocard to see if that would work but i can't afford to waste the money if its not the problem.

Since Gamers and those who watch online videos are having trouble with Adobe Flash Player 10, why am I, who does neither, having the beast crash all the time?

Adobe Flash Player seems to wait until I am near the end of the Yahoo comics section before it crashes, but not always, sometimes it just seems to have a mind of its own and crashes indiscriminately.

As I am the person having this problem, I am at a loss as to what to say in Reply. I thought I was making progress just by noting that video watchers and gamers were having this problem. Then I thought that it might be worthy of note that it seemed to happen more often when I was reading the yahoo comics section, I happen to like the comics. So, I suppose that my question should be, Am I being discriminated against because I do not watch online videos, play games and happen to enjoy the comics?

Video on skype not working. Only functioning in facetime and photo booth. Seems to be a common problem amongst users having bought a new macbook air recently. When you go to Preference and click on audio/video item video works but when clicking on another menue and returning to audio/videio picture is gone. Understand has something to do with a recent update von Apple (10.8.5... missing file for 32 bit version).
Anybody there to give me an advice?

My video keeps freezing and I want to know how to fix this problem or which add-ons / plugins need to be installed for improved performance of my video player

I often like watching videos and movies, current affairs, clips on you tube nine msn, yahoo and other sites and my video player or movie freezes for short and long periods and sometimes doesn't start at all. I don't have much experience with add on's or plugins but have been told this may be the problem, I have tried disabling add on's leaving shock wave flash player 11.7.700.224, adobe acrobat PDF plug in, silver light plug in 5.1.20125.0, java deployment toolkit 7.0.210.11 10.21.2.11 and java (TM) platform SE 7 U21 10.21.2.11. as well as leaving all add on's and plug ins run but it still doesn't fix the freezing problem please help or advise what are best options for peak performance of videos, clips and movies. You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
