Online Video Streaming was fine... until new OS update 10.2 (or before) causing lag
Here is the scenario:
I've had my z10 shortly after it's launch in Hong Kong, and aside from a few minor tweaks, it worked brilliantly.
I had all my email accounts, whatsapp, and was using it very heavily during working hours.
After work, i go home, and I watch movies streamed online from the z10, and HDMI it to the TV.
I'm not after top-quality viewing, but it's basically good enough to catch the movies that are not worth paying to see.
anyhow, all if fine until for the past 2 months (and I believe it was after an update) i am encountering a lag on the streaming component.
testing to see if it may be the bandwith problem, i try to load a short 5-10min youtube clip, and same result.
the sound is fine, and continuous, however, the videos itself plays for 10-15 secs, then freezes, while the sound continues.
The video then starts playing again, but jumps ahead to stay in-sync with the sound.
Is anyone else encountering this problem???

I'm not having any issues whats so ever so I don't why you're has well. Are you sure it isn't your internet connections?

Firefox was fine until the last update, now it crashes all the damn time
It never crashed until the update to 9.1, now it just crashes all the time, various sites, just stops no warning, nothing.
These links are of no help whatsoever, Firefox updated itself to 9.1. I have not added any software, hardware or changed a thing since before the update. It only started crashing unexpectedly after the update. Therefore, logic would conclude there's a glitch in the update wouldn't it? I have downloaded and reinstalled it twice since the update and the crashing began. The last time I did this was yesterday, so far so good..I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I recently bought a new tower with windows 8.1 everything was fine until yesterday when I went to watch a video that someone had posted, the sound was there but the screen was all green everything I try to watch has a green screen, I have gotten rid of the green screen but now the video won't load to watch. it tells me I have to upgrade flash player but my computer tells me its already embedded or something like that in windows 8.1. can you help.@marks93255255 or [email protected]!
If other devices can connect to the network without problems, it means that the router can provide wireless internet. For this situation, an isolation process is needed to be able to find a fix.
Was the computer tested to connect through Wi-Fi before you bought it?
Did you do Mac address filter on your router?
Make sure that the router is using WPA/WPA2 or WPA2 encryption type just like what Chester has recommended. If your router is already set to that security type, you may test by disabling the wireless security of the WI-Fi router. Check if it will connect or not.
Another thing to check is the properties of your wireless connection. To do that, Go to Network and Sharing center > Click change adapter settings > right click “Wireless” > go to Properties> click Internet protocol IPV4> check the Properties button below > make sure that it’s set to both Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS server automatically.

my new ipad works perfectly. the iphone 5, however, cannot connect to the same wifi, can barely get a 3G signal, and the power level is at 53% after being barely used for 1\2 a day. Is this a hardware problem?? My old 3Gs was fine until it died.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I bought an iPhone 3GS from eBay all was fine until I had an hardware fault I sorted that out on mp pc and now it won't activate I've been using a 3 SIM card since I have had it and it just won't activate.as far as I'm aware I bought the phone as new so no jailbreak can any1 help
Your ebay purchased phone was hacked/jailbroken. You cannot get help here for jailbroken phones. Sorry.

Mavericks is extremely slow. NetFlix used to stream just fine until I got the "upgrade." Everything is slower now, and I have plenty of RAM. Any insights?

I would be concerned too if my iMac was running slowly after upgrading to Mavericks. I found a couple of articles I recommend to help isolate and troubleshoot this issue.

I have elements 12 Mac and I can not print 4X6, it comes out 8X10 using HP7520. It was fine until now. I can print 4X6 with iPhoto and off the printer scanner. Help?
I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.

I have a mid-2009 MBP and I've been using my BOSE Companion 20 with it for about half a year now. It was fine until recently, when i want to adjust the volume using the pod on the BOSE Companion 20, it will cause like a surge in volume, spiking it up and down. It will not stablise itself! It's very fustrating. Anybody with the same issue?
I have the BOSE Companion 5 speakers and have had the same problem. I've searched everywhere and gotten nowhere. My speakers are way past their warranty, so calling Bose would probably get me no where either. Only thing I can think of is that the speakers overheat which causes the spikes in the volume. I've tried unplugging them for a few minutes and then plug them back on. The problem does go away, but after about 5 minutes, same problem.

How to I increase the space between the top of tabs and the frame of the entire window? It was fine until Firefox updated and since it updated it reduced the space. Now the space is too thin which makes it more difficult to move the open window frame around when I need to grab something from Desktop. I did get a "server busy" message when I loaded quicktime, but I'm not sure if it is related or not since I've been seeing that over the last couple of days, I can't remember if it came before iTunes stopped working or not. That message reads "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'switch to' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." My options then are to choose switch to or retry. When I press "switch to" my Start menu opens, and nothing appears to happen when I select retry.
that's an odd sort of a message (or series of messages).
hmmmmm. let's try an experiment aimed at working out if there's a program interfering with the QuickTime (which is in turn causing grief with your iTunes).
try a selective startup using MSCONFIG, with just the itunes and QuickTime background processes enabled, as per the following document:

IPhone 4S was working fine until recenty after updating the software to the 5.1 version
My iPhone 4s was working fine until I recently updated the software to version 5.1, now it locks up on nearly any screen and reverts back to the main screen. Even in settings, if I go in a few tabs in settings all of a sudden it takes me back to the main screen. I have done a total reset on the phone and it has not helped.
Also, it is now completely frying the battery goes from 100% to 35% in about 4 hours. I have killed all apps running and it is still hot and using up the battery.I have done all of the above suggested restart, reset and restores using iTunes and without. No luck.
What I have found is that under Settings; General; About; Diagnostics & Usage; there is an error message populating every single minute that says low memory. It appears that the reset back to the main screen coincides with this error message. I have very little data stored on the phone, 13 Gig available.
How does one go about emptying this memory? -
