Carriers lock phones. Only Carriers can unlock them. Contact the carrier to whom your phone is locked. See if they allow unlocking, and if they do, what the qualifications are.

If your cable provider has an app that allows you to stream content to your iPad, that is really the only way you can do what you're trying to do. Of course, this really isn't free anyway, because you have to subscribe to that cable service in order to do this.
In the U.S., HBO GO, Xfinity Play, ABC, NBC, TNT, TBS and others have apps that you can watch streaming content in and some apps (Xfinity Play) allow you to download some movies and TV shows to your device to watch offline.
You are most likely trying to watch Flash content on the iPad and as stated above, that does not work on an iOS device. -

I'm tired of apple charging so much for something so abundant. Server space, both personal and belonging to apple, should not cOst their customers so much! After all we did pay a lot for our devices.
Why would someone pay for something they can create, a remote network storage device, when they don't have to. It just takes a little effort. That's why apples phones are made so simplistic with no accessible file structure, apple assumes an idiot will be using it.

What is the best way to record a video(not big) for free on a mac w/isight? I need to just make a short (less than 5 minute, no special effects) video, but I can't figure out any programs that will make this possible for me.

you can use iMovie to record a video for free on a Mac with iSight.
1. Open iMovie HD
2. Choose “Create a new project”
3. Name the project for example “iSight Movie” (first field). In the second field, let the default location “Sequences”, in the third one, video format, choose “iSight”. Push “Create”
4. iMovie window opens, next to the scissors, choose the camera (Camera mode), then iSight. Now you appear on the screen, right?
5. Press “Record with iSight” in the main picture window.
6. Press the same button to stop. Your new clip appears now in the clip panel at the right.
7. You are done!

what i understood is that
When you use a sql query like select emp_add from XY
And IF emp_add contains more then 1000 chracters then you are not able to see the full data on the report or on a column
Is it the case or are you looking into some other aspect.
Can you ellborate a bit , Do you receive an error ?

I have to agree with the statement:
There is no direct support for free hand SQL in Web Intelligence.
If by "direct support" we're talking about an intuitive and manageable way to enter free-text SQL and "let Webi do the rest", then it's certainly not true. Currently, an end-user is required to endure several painstaking steps and cautions to align the SQL select of a freehand sql written in the Webi SQL pane with that's been dragged-and-dropped to the Result Objects pane in the Java Report Panel. Even after this process is finished and the user has a report, any change in # of result objects (columns) requires the user to once again re-create the SQL.
The current superior method to accomplish this is to use Desktop Intelligence, or create the derived table in a Universe as Dave mentioned. -
Best way to stay in contact for free when abroad? (Free Wifi Calls US to UK, App to PC calling etc?)

I am from Northern Ireland (U.K). In July I will be going to the US for a two week holiday in New York.
I am on O2 and my contract is £13.50 per month. I had a look a the cost of making and receiving calls from the U. S and it was pretty pricey. To even receive a call from back home will cost something like £1.40 per minute. Texting seems fairly pricey too, around 30p a txt. Considering I am already paying a monthly contract, I'd really like to find a way of not adding to this when I am out there, but stay in touch at the same time.
I will be staying with friends so I presume I can jump on to their Wifi connection for free on my Curve when I am there?
I guess if this is the case, I can use Facebook messenger, MSN messenger or Yahoo messenger to chat with family back in the UK for free. I was wondering if any programs had voice calling capabilities? I know Skype is NOT available for the Curve in the UK.
My family use PC's. If there was any program that made online calls for free, that was compatible with both PC and Blackberry, I could use this. Any ideas?

Steve.Other than America/Canada's annoying price gouging for 3G data... there really isn't much of a solution because Apple's ingenious plan was that iPhones should normally use 1GB of data every month and not tell the user where it all went to.
Also, At&t was under investigation by some government organization for that night-time data transfer you've seen. I don't know if there ever was a resolution from that or not.
You can turn off the 3G data like Matthew349 said, I personally do that all the time when roaming in European countries where my main provider would normally charge 15€ per MB.
But talk to At&t about the extreme night data transfers that happen when you're sleeping. They should help you identify what's going on. If they don't think it's possible, they're lying ask for a detailed report of the sessions of the huge data transfers and where that communication happened. -
I have a Mac Air. When I go to view video online (youtube for example), the screen for the video comes up with a black square space where the video should play. But there is no pay button and the vidoe never starts playing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How can I add new content in iDVD to a DVD-RW disc with a video previously successfully recorded on it? (The disc has ample remaining free space.)
After preparing the new video for burning and clicking in the File menu on Burn to iDVD, I get a window saying the disc's already recorded and that I can either Erase or Eject. My assumption has been that iDVD would automatically find the free space and continue with the new recording from there. I'd be grateful if anyone can shine light on this.There are, but not with a DVD written as a movie disk. It must be closed when completed, or it doesn't work.
Apple's built in Burn utility also automatically closes any data CD, DVD or Blu-ray disk you burn. Doesn't matter how much space is unused, you can't use it. You'd have to use a more advanced disk creation app, such as Toast Titanium. I then have the option of choosing to write the data as a session:
I can keep doing this until the disk is full. If I've written five sessions to the disk, when I put it in the drive, five CD/DVD icons will appear on the desktop since the OS will treat each session as if they are separate physical disks. At any point you choose Write Disk when writing a group of data, that means you're closing the disk, and again can't add anything after that. So if I had written two sessions, and the third was Write Disk, it's over. I can't put anything else on that disk. -
I need to download an online quicktime video for a project. Its is 3gb so takes a while to buffer but when it buffers to about half way it stops and I have to reload the page and try again?

My Late 09 Macbook has a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free?
The screen randomly freezes up unless I push the screen slightly forwards or backwards. I'm assuming that this is due to a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free? I've tried disassembling it but I can't seem to locate the right screwdriver for some of the screws.
And even if it was in warranty, disassmbling it may have voided it.

Looking to get a data plan for the sole purpose of playing online video games

I live in the mountains of Pine Valley, CA and the seclusion is becoming intolerable. I'm looking to get a data plan with Verizon to play online video games, namely Diablo 3 or failing that due to latency, then Civilization 5. Can anyone give me pointers on if this would work and what plan I could get? Currently, I have a plan with Boost Mobile which uses Sprint cell phone towers. I tested my internet connection with speedtest.net and received a ping as low as 140 and as high as 1000, but I'm hoping the 1000 is just due to reception issues that can be fixed with a better antenna. The 140 ping is a little high too but I'm hoping this will be better on the Verizon network since I think their cellphone towers are closer. The closest landmark to me is the Golden Acorn Casino at 1800 Golden Acorn Way Campo, CA 91906. If anyone could tell me the distance from Verizon's cell tower to the casino and Sprint's and could estimate a ping value based on that, I would really appreciate it.
I like Verizon's data plan for 10gb but I'm confused on device connectivity. Is this the data plan plus whatever router device I hook it up to? I would also need some sort of antenna and a router, wireless or wired. Can anyone give me pointers on how to find these? An estimation on Ping and bandwith speed and also on peak hours in my area would be nice too. Thanks to anyone that can help me with this! That why they send someone out to install it. It also comes with the router. You're thinking of Share Everything data only plans. Where you pay $20 for the mi-fi and then pay extra on the data pending how much you want. Share Everything with a mi-fi and 10 GB would be $80 a month when you can get Homefusion for $60 for the same 10 GB. An considering the antenna is more power and outside you're a lot more likely to get reception with Homefusion. In either case it should be noted you'll need to pass a credit check and sign a two year contract.
