Ready to upgrade to a new phone - I know that online, I can get the $50 credit automatically rather than getting it back after the fact if I purchase in a store. Other than that - is there any other downfall to ordering from online? ie - if there are issues - can I return to a store or do I need to deal with everything thru online?

I am not sure about no activation fee. Although it seems I have seen it offered sometimes. What happens though is you are billed for it, then credited a month or two later.
Vereyezuhn is correct that it is charged ONLY on new lines of service.

In no days at all because you will not be able to order it from the Apple store online if you do not live in the USA and by your user name I am assuming that you don't live in the US?
The US Apple store online will not ship outside the US, so wait until you can purchase the iPhone 6 in India or wherever you are and buy it then.
Anyway, pre-orders for the iPhone started last Friday, so pre-orders now are looking at an October/November delivery date, but forget that because you can't anyway.
Wait until you can get it in your country and then buy it.

Take it to an authorized service center or Apple Store in the country where the phone originated. Apple does not sell iPhones in Pakistan, nor will they ship them to Pakistan.

Im having the same situation with my ipod touch that I ordered on 7th of Sep. I also ordered from HK apple online store.
ITs been 13 days, the status just jumps from "NOT YET SHIPPED" and "PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT" over and over again..
Been calling Apple Order Status Reps, but got no helpful answer as to why this is happening, they just keep telling me ok yes, the item will be shipped end of today (for five days now).. Requested to speak with a manager, till date he hasn't called me back to explain the situation.. Really disappointing.
Also, the number to call listed on the website "800-908-988" is pretty much impossible to get thru. What I mean is, calling 30 times maybe you'll get one time that you can actually get into the switchboard menu, other times, it will just give you a busy tone. They should fix something about this.
Well, I guess I'll just never order from the online store again.
Just wanted to share, and if the original poster has any suggestion on how to get a complaint across to apple corporate. Please advise.

How long does it take for a store to process an online order for store pick up

I placed an order for a Macbook Pro on November 11, 2014. Scheduled an in store pick up where Best Buy estimated pick up date is November 14. I didn't receive the email or text to pick up the item, so I decided to call 1-800-best-buy to see if I can get the new estimated pick up date. I was told by the representative the laptop is actually already at the store, and waiting for me to pick it up. I called the store to make sure, and was told that I can pick it tomorrow morning. I called in today was placed on hold for around 15 minutes. Decided to call 1-800-best-buy again, and found out that it will take another 3-5 days before I get my laptop. I asked the representative to change the pick to another store that has the laptop available right now. It was change since around 10 am in the morning. I called the store to make sure that they got my order, the Manager told me that once the truck deliver more laptop. I will be able to get mine, and I should call in the afternoon to check on the availablity. I called around 5 pm to check, and was told that even if there is a laptop. I would still need to wait until best buy process my order. Called 1-800-best-buy again, and was told that Apple usually take 3-4 for hours to verify the information. Right now, my order status is still "Preparing Order".
My Questions: How long will it take for Best Buy to finish Preparing Order?
Why does it show on the website that if I order by 8 PM I wil be able to pick up the laptop today. Meanwhile, the store pick up was transfered since 10 am this morning, and at 10 PM tonight still nothing.
If I cancel my order, will I get all of my reward zone certificates back?

Can we Buy online, return to store and rebuy with new contract?

My bf is an AT&T customer. I am not. We want to add me to his AT&T account (making it a family plan). He wants to get the iphone5 and give me his old 4s to use. We live in the Lou and we have been to the apple store/AT&T stores a half dozen times trying to get a iphone5 but they are always sold out. They tell us... Order online. If he buys it online, he will have to pay the higher price for it because he's an existing customer. Because he wants the phone and we want to be on a family plan.... Can he buy it online (paying full price), return it to the store and then rebuy it at the lower price after he adds me to the contract? Even if I am the new customer, will they allow him to have the 5 and me the 4s?

You should be able to find a store using the Apple Retail website or the AT&T site. When you use the Apple site, you just choose pickup at store instead of having it shipped.
Another option would be contact AT&T and ask if they would give you new SIMs, if you were to add a new line to the account and purchase the iPhone 5 online.

Wonder how the trade in process works. I actually know how it works but wondering if I Know how much I would get. I have looked at the trade in value online. Will this dollar amount be the same as in store or can it be different?

Our Trade-in program can be a great way to get more out of your older electronics. To my knowledge, the trade-in values that are displayed online are considered an estimate, so there is a chance they could differ once you go into a Best Buy store and an associate looks over the product. If you are interested in trading in a products, then I would encourage you to go into a Best Buy store when you have time and checking. You do not necessarily have to accept the trade-in based on the value presented; however, if you do thing the value is fair, then we can help process it for you right then and there.

For those of you who have used your previous $100 iPhone credit, can you use it at the Apple Store, or is it just online like the 1st generation iPod credits were?

Quick Question: Online or In-Store?

I have found my dream laptop, the Samsung R580; but I have one question: I don't know whether I can purchase the laptop only online, or can I find this product in stores. I live pretty far from the nearest Best Buy, and I am afraid that this sale will end soon, so I am wondering if this product is available in-store, or only online. (I have no way to purchase it online, so I'm really hoping for the former to the the answer, haha.)
If anyone can help shine some light on this, or if someone can show me how I can determine whether or not this product is online-only, I'd appreciate your help greatly!

Online vs in-store purchasing

Me and my family are about to upgrade phones, I am looking at the KIN Twom while other family members are considering other phones. I saw that in some cases online purchases have an instate rather than mail-in rebate. Is this true of the KIN Twom? Slash does it apply to all phones and is there any indication in the phone description online?

I'm not quite sure what you are talking about, but what i do know is i bought my Kin Twom in-stores. They won't have it out in the 'show-room', but they should have them in the back storage, all you have to do is ask them. I like being able to feel the phone, and play around with it before buying, after all, its going to stick with you for 2 years so you better like what you're buying. They did pull out a test model for me, although they had to charge it up for about 15 min before i could play around with it. Cost-wise, i did not have to fill out rebate forms. I believe this one is simply a discounted price, to $50 at-purchase, but i used the New Every Two deal to purchase it for free. One thing i do remember, with my old phone, is that when i went in to service it, they would not do it in-stores, because i bought that one online. Something to do with different warehouse origins, etc, internal limitations that directly led to customer limitations. I like customer support, and being able to talk to someone, so thats why i wanted to buy this in-stores. My assumptions are that this phone is only being sold in actual verizon stores, not mini resellers. And just make sure you are specific in what you are asking for, because many reps do not even know the phone exists (at least 2 weeks ago it was the case). As long as you sound like you know what you are talking about, the rep will feel obligated to ask their manager for more information, without a whole fiasco of 'forged' information (yes, they are salesmen, they aren't going to say 'i don't know' like they should).

Destiny Online Pre-Order Store Pickup

So I ordered the Destiny PS4 Limited Edition online and set it for store pickup at the Chico, CA location. I am just wondering if it will be able to be picked up for midnight release or not and even if that store is doing a midnight release for Destiny.

Good question! Both in-store and online pre-orders can be picked up during the midnight opening events at participating locations. Our Chico, CA location is also slated to be hosting one, but full details can be found here. You should receive a pickup confirmation notice shortly before the event, so make sure to keep an eye on both your inbox and junk mail folders for additional communication.
