Only 2 out of 9 CalDAV calendars are visible on iPhone

Hello all,
I am trying to host CalDAV calendars on my own LAN. I downloaded and installed Apple Server, got a certificate, and enabled push notifications in the Server application Calendar pane. Then I exported all of the calendars on my machine to .ics files, and imported them onto the server. There are 9 different calendars. They all show up in the Calendar apps on the computers at home, and events added on one computer show up on the others as expected. We have 3 iPhones in the family. After adding the CalDAV accounts on the iPhones, only 2 of the 9 CalDAV calendars show up on the iPhones. The same 2 calendars show up on all the phones, and the same 7 calendars are missing on all the phones. When I touch "Calendar" at the bottom of the screen in the Calendar app on the phone, the names of all 9 calendars are visible, with check marks next to them indicating that they should be visible in the calendar, but no events on those 7 missing calendars show up.
Can anyone help?

Close iPhoto and open your iPhoto Library package with the Finder as shown in this screenshot,
Locate and move the iPod Photo Cache folder to the Desktop. (Do no make any other changes to the contents of the package!)
Launch iPhoto and try syncing again.

Hello Schimi. The Time Capsule is a kind of product that offer you two possibility:
- To use the TC as a router or as an external HD.
The difference between WPA and WPA 2 are:

WPA2 is compatible with WPA , but offers higher security level . In fact, it meets the high standards of many government agencies . If the router and computer support WPA2 , this should be your choice.

I have got the same behaviour after the last Safari Update to 5.1.3. It seems that Safari now handles some scripts in a new way. If you debug the Google Website, you will see, that there is some Javascript Error, that seems to prevent to write into local cache. After some searching I wasn't able to finde a solution for this problem, other then disabling Javascript while private browsing to prevent the script loading. You then are able to use Google with the old layout. The option to disable JavaScript can be found in the Menu "Developer", wich has to be enabled in Safari in the options first.
In my opinion this is a bug that is now occuring, because Apple changed something in private browsing and that has to be fixed by Google now, to run again. Or we will have to wait for 5.1.4, as you can read online Apple will change and bugfix the javascript engine in that version, perhaps this fixes the problem as well. I hope so!
If anyone is in the developer program perhaps you could test this with the beta of 5.1.4 and tell us if it works.

I used the ticker tape mode to add subtitles to a clip. When playing it in the pc, the Subtitles are fine, however, when playing it on the tv, only the top half of the words are visible. Any idea why?

I would agree with Keith Barkley, it may be the TV Safe Area. You can see what spots might be blocked out or cut off by going to iDVD and opening the original DVD project, under the View Menu > Show TV Safe Area. If your title gets cut off by the cropping rectangle displayed, that may account for the cut-off.

CalDAV Calendars are Read-Only?

When trying to add a CalDAV calendar (Google Calendar in this case), the end result is that it is a read-only calendar.
I can not add/edit/delete anything from the calendar and even the edit option for the events doesn't even show up.
Does anyone here have a Google Calendar CalDAV calendar account that is read/write? This includes both the primary calendar and shared calendars (manually added as separate accounts).
NOTE: Please do not suggest ActiveSync. That is not working for some people anymore and is no longer a viable alternative. We need to figure out this CalDAV business at some point.

Audio only comes out of the right head phone on my iPhone 4?

I've just bought an iPhone 4 16GB off a family friend and the phone was in fully working order, I've seen it and used it. It's been restored back to factory default and now audio only comes out of 1 head phone through the audio jack? I've checked inside the jack for anything in there and I've used 4-5 pairs of head phones I know are working having used them in other devices. I've used this phone in the past with the head phones so I know it does work. I've tried doing a reset, same problem still occurs. Any idea's at all?

Multiple gmail calendars not visible after iphone ugrade

I just upgraded from an iphone 3 to a 4. I had multiple google calendars syncing with the iphone 3. After upgrading, my iphone 4 does not show the calendars as before. There is one calendar visible in the list from the phone app. It has my google ID as the name of the calendar, but the events are from the first calendar from my list on the google site. When I go to the google site, everything is as it was before (on iphone from safari or from mac). If I go to the m.google site from my phone to select calendars to display and sync, all are there and are checked. They just will not show up on my iphone calendar.
I have seen many old posts regarding this topic (about 1 year old) and I have tried the proposed solutions.

How can I select the Quicktime plug-in (in Firefox) as the Helper Application, as only programs out of the web browser are shown?

I recently updated my QuickTime Plug-in (7.7.4) on Firefox 21. Prior to the update, I could open midi files in the Firefox and other browsers with a QuickTime Player. Now, I've got my Windows 7 computer asking how it should save or open the file. The QuickTime Plug-in is enabled and works with other types of files. If I open Tools, select Options, and select Applications, I do have the option of selecting "Use QuickTime Plug-in 7.7.4 (in Firefox)" for many file types. For the "Midi Sequence" type, it isn't an option, (only programs which open the midi files outside of the browser). Presently my only option is to use "Windows Media Player" as the default program, (opening midi files outside of the browser). "Mid file" allows the selection of the QuickTime Plug-in but still goes out of the Firefox browser to use the Windows Media Player, whether the file's extension is .mid or .midi
Is these someplace I can find the "Use QuickTime Plug-in 7.7.4 (in Firefox)" with the "Browse" within my computer's files, or am I now stuck using the "Windows Media Player" when a plug-in should be able to do this simple task? I can watch YouTUbe (in Firefox) but cannot play a midi file (in Firefox)!

QT 7.7.4 use "audio/mid" MIME type only and does not understand now "audio/midi" and "audio/x-midi" types commonly used on server side. Blame Apple for that.

What calendars are supported by iPhone for synching?

I have found out via another post that iPhone will not likely synch with my calendar in GroupWise. What calendar applications out there (for windows xp PC) work well and synch with the iPhone (it's just not easy or quick to enter the calendar entries only on the iPhone using the touch keypad)?

Hidden Contact Subfolders are visible on iPhone after sync with Exchange Server 2007

We have encountered an issue where synchronizing the iPhone with Contacts from an Exchange Server 2007 mailbox, causes hidden contact subfolders (from Outlook) to be visible and appear in the Groups list in the Contacts App on the iPhone. This does not occur with Exchange Server 2010 mailboxes.
We have a 3rd party application that creates hidden subfolders in the default Contacts folder on Exchange Server 2007 mailboxes. The hidden folders do not display in the Outlook client, Blackberry or on an Android phone. We did see that they were showing up in Outlook Web Access until we applied this Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 3 Rollup 2 patch unto the Exchange server:

After the patch was applied, the hidden contacts do not show up anywhere else. However, when we synced the mailbox to an iPhone and synced existing contacts, all of the hidden folders appear in the Contact Groups list. Is there a way to hide the hidden sub contact folders on the iPhone and prevent them from appearing in the Contact Group lists?
Any help provided would be most appreciated.

I have an open case with Microsoft about it. It is an issue with ActiveSync in Exchange 2007 that sends the hidden objects. Microsoft tried to resolve this in Exchange 2010 by sending a delete message after sending the hidden objects to remove them from the device. Am awaiting to see if they will approve a design change to Exchange 2007 ActiveSync to prevent the synching of hidden objects.

Calendars are nowhere to be seen

Recently noticed that when I start iCal, no events show up, and no calendars are visible. If I flip to day planner view (default at start is month view), events show up, and they are still visible even when I switch back to month view. But the calendars remain nowhere to be seen.
It also appears to be interfering with my ability to sync with my Palm TX
I saw a similar problem posted earlier, but apparently it went away when they rebooted. I've done so several times, no luck.

From what I can see, I cannot just reinstall iCal using the install disc- Looking at the custom install, there is no option ofr iCal, or even something that looks like just iCal...
Did you try the installation options outlined in Custom installs in Mac OS X 10.4?
Be sure that you follow the procedures listed in...More custom reinstallation options with Mac OS X 10.4. You must check [✓] the Applications box and click on the ▶ disclosure triangle next to Applications to choose iCal.
After you reinstall iCal, you should use the Mac OS X 10.4.11 Combo Update (PPC) to bring iCal up to the most recent version.

IPhone 4s upgraded to iOS7 and I´m able to enter a new caldav calendar but I can´t find the calendar anywhere and the schedules are not in the calendar. The caldav server have been working on the iOS 6.1.3 efore very well! Any suggestions?

I tried to enter a caldav calendar to my iPhone 4s.
The same server and the same calendar have been working well tihin iOS 6.1.7.
But now on iOS 7 the caldav server and account is confirmed but don´t appear in the calendar so the schedules are also not shown in the calendar app.
Can anyone confirm that or has some suggestions?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!
