Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

I can't listen to then entire 1minutes 24 sec of song in stores, can listen only 17 seconds and the song stops. pls help

Could you help me!! Since yesterday when I am in the iTunes stores for purchasing new songs, I always listen to the song. It give me about 1minutes24 seconds for listens, but since yesterday I can only listen to the song for about 17 seconds and it stops. Before this situation I was listen to a song and I got a little square window with the word URL written in and a stop, since nothing was happening I click the stop so I can eliminate this little window.
After my action I can't listen to any song in the iTunes Stores for only 17 seconds.
Could you let me know what I should do.

Follow the huge discussion here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3970684?tstart=0. There doesn't seem to be a firm solution. 17 sec? Wow! I only get 8 seconds. Apple isn't paying attention to us at all. You may have to preview and purchase songs elsewhere. Some people can't even download.

OK. I managed to fix this. That's what I did:
1. In Finder, make copy the audio files that won't synchronize.
2. Rename the files e.g. appending a "2" at the end of the name.
3. Import the files in iTunes (drag and drop from Finder into iTunes' Library)
4. Rename the album in iTunes (e.g. also append a "2" at the end of the album's name)
5. Put the new files in a Playlist and synchronize
After that I removed the original files and changed the names back so that the copy is like the original was before.
I suppose the important thing is to make iTunes "think" that those are new files. Note that I did remove the files from iTunes and add them back without renaming or copying and it did not work. I supposse that the copying and/or renaming is important.

Only 30 seconds of 1 song

I downloaded a song at the beginning of the month and made it into to a ringtone for my iphone 5c using the usual mp4 to mpr conversion method.
Now the song does not play more than 30 seconds on my phone even if i delete the tone and the song from my phone and re-download the whole song. I have also checked in the "get info section" and had the settings changed back to the original settings so there are no playback time settings.
The song plays fine on my laptop just not on my phone. does anybody know how I can resolve this?

I just downloaded a song and only got 1 min. 30 sec. It's suppose to be a 2 min. 35 sec. song. Did you find out how to get the complete song? If not, it's a waste of money and confidence in Apple. Thanks!

I had this happen to me once. You should go to Your Account and report the problem using the link you'll find in your purchases. You can also do that from the email you get whenever you purchase stuff from the iTunes Store.

Itunes is only downloading 7 seconds of each song

Only 8 of 10 songs downloaded from paid album

I paid for an entire album and only 8 of the 10 songs downloaded; the other two songs kept getting error messages. When I retunred to the store today with better access to download the last two, they are no longer there, and do not show up in the downloads. How can I retrieve the last wo songs? How do you get customer service help with the iTunes store?

Open iTunes.
Look at the menus at top. Select the Store menu and select Check for purchases.
Don't go to the iTunes store on the left side of iTunes.

Only a portion of some songs downloaded. I burnt CD's, trying to build a collection. Now listening to those CD's they are incomplete. How do I get the music that is missing. How do I re-set the number of downloads I did on the other songs so I can burn the collection I want? I know I can burn 7 of each song, but is there a way I can reset my counter so I regain the once I burnt on CD's that are incomplete. I don't want to have to continually skip past incomplete songs. I'm also irritated at the wasted CD's.

Contact the iTunes Store support people using Express Lane, they should be able to take care of the problem.
