Few days back i installed d old sis files of 6600 since dan Whenever i connect my mobile with d PC It shows the error msg again & again " PC suite file missing from the mobile" Inspite of installing the latest PC suite my phone is not detected in the pc suite.Pls help

Have you tried the "Reinstall PC Suite support on your phone" in the "Help" menu of the PC Suite main window?

In reply to Peter2300's problem of not being able to delete Genius Playlists on the ipdad. I had this same problem on my ipad2 and my son's ipad mini. In both our cases we had a number of extra Genius Playlists and most of these had no songs in them. We couldn't delete them the normal way by just holding down on them until the little X appeared. We both solved it the same way. On my iPad when I "tap" on the Genius playlist I want to delete, it switches to the screen showing the individual songs in the Genius list (even if it's just a blank playlist), and there is a "save" button near the upper right of the screen. I pressed the Save button and then hit the button on the upper left to return to the list of Playlists. After doing this, the last Genius Playlist displayed could then be deleted the normal way by pressing on it and waiting for the X. I had to repeat this process for each extra Genius playlist I wanted to get rid of (which was all of them b/c on mine they were all blanks). I just repeated the process of viewing each playlist, saving it, going back to the list of Playlists and then deleting the one that appeared last on the screen. So far these Genious Playlists have not returned. Hope this helps.

Have updated to iOS 7.1 and now find Calendar is out of sync to months ie April only changes to May at 19 th of May same for each month

Have updated iPad to new iOS 7.1 and now find that the calendar is out of sync with the months for example today is the 8th April when in month view I move to look at or enter in May it says at April heading until I pass the 19th of May , the same applies now to all months , when I look back at Feb it's is only showing all month as January , can any one help or know the answer to this it's only happened this last week I am away in USA and updated about a week ago.

That is still showing April until the 19th passes and then it is May.
Select a date in that week (the 20-26) hold finger to add new appt, Notice the day that appears.
It changes because now may is past the center area.

Read only files when running in Nokia mode

I am using a Nokia 6085 running PC Suite in Nokia Mode. I have a problem whereby files saved on the memory card are accessible only as read-only files when opened in their appropriate application. However, in the Nokia browser and when in Data Storage mode they are normal (non-read only) files. This is somewhat annonying.
Perhaps I hould also add that when I try to save a file tothe memory from an application I am not allowed access to that folder (even though I have administrator functions on).
Can anyone help me?

I have tried to save both MS Word and Excel files.
I have noticed that when I try to "browse" to the phone (the Nokia 6085 icon not the phone browser icon) from my Gmail (using Firefox) I receive a message "browsing to this folder has been disabled" and no further explanation.

How do i turn on itunes radio? I only have genius in the music app.

Only receiving part of sms - Nokia 113

I just bought a Nokia 113, but when I am receving text messages, I only receive a part of the message. After some time, the rest do comes in, but this is not a way of working. If I receive a sms, I need to be able to receive the complete message. Thanks for helping me out. At the end of the sms, I always receive the message "part is missing"...

Why only two Genius mixes?

Just upgraded to iTunes 9.0 on two iMacs. On mine iTunes produced 9 Genius mixes. On my wife's iMac iTunes only produced two. Is it based on the number of songs in the library? I have a lot more music than she does. She does have a lot of some music types that were not included.

And, I have updated Genius and turned it on/off.

I no longer have the e-mail icons with my e-mail so that I may reply, forward, etc. How do I get them back?

Try terminating and restarting Mail:
1. Press the Home button
2. Double click the Home button to bring up the "Recent Apps" tray.
3. Touch and hold on the Mail icon in the "Recent Apps" tray until a "-" appears.
4. Touch the "-" to terminate Mail.
5. Mail Safari and see if this corrects the problem.
If this doesn't try restarting or resetting your iPhone:
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Disable download protection only. "Blocked: may contain virus or spyware"

Is there a way to do this. Many legitimate downloads are blocked by this behaviour.
Why isn't the download stopped the moment it is initiated? (spend hours downloading legitimate files and documents only to realize firefox deletes them without any user intervention) and why is there no option to recover the download?
So far the only way to fix this issue seems to be:
a) use a different browser
b) systematically lower the security settings for the browser to download a file then re-enable the options (browser.safebrowsing.enabled and browser.safebrowsing.malware.enabled)

As far as I know Firefox does not delete downloads. However it does screen them:

I would not recommend turning them off, however if you are downloading, it is possible to put them in another folder.

FIPS mode: only SunJSSE TrustManagers may be used

Hi,
I want to used a custom trust manager that accepts self-signed certificates as valid, and delegates to the SunJSSE TrustManager for other certificates. I also want to use SunJSSE's experimental FIPS mode with SunPKCS11-NSS provider.
I cannot do both, since in the FIPS mode, the SunJSSE requires that only its internal TrustManager be used. Why is this required?
Is there any alternative for this? I want to make sure the self-signed certificates are accepted.

I don't know about FIPS mode but in the ordinary case you don't need a custom TrustManager to accept a self-signed certificate. You just need it in your truststore.

I upgraded my iphone 4S to ios 6 two weeks ago and yesterday when I tried to go into my App Store the only ares that I could get was Genius, Genius Categories, and Updates..can't get Apps or search in Apps. Anyone else having this issue?

Is anyone having an issue with the App Store since upgrading to ios 5? I have iphone 4S and upgraded two weeks ago to ios 5, and yesterday I tried to access the App Store and could only get Genius and Updates....no App Store and couldn't search or go to Catagories in App Store!

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

Is there a way to set Apple Mail so that it will include only the most recent reply in a thread of an email? Without having to go in and manually delete everything that I don't want to appear every time I (and the recipient) don't need in every email? I've tried messing with the preferences, but can't seem to find a combination that will result in this.

Thank you! It isn't a big deal if I set it to not include any replies, but it is nice if (as frequently happens) I am conducting a "chat" by email, and frequently reply to the same email more than once. The person on the other end would know which reply I am referring to, without having to put up with all of the preceding type.

This is probably easy to do but I don't want to mess it up. My spreadsheet, that I created last year, only went to May of 2011. How do I continue it for another year without losing any data? Thanks for the help!

Two routes you can follow with this:
1. Add rows to the end of your current table by dragging the Row Handle down. For any columns where every cell contains the same formula, those formulas will automatically copy into the new rows.
The disadvantage of this is that you'll eventually get a very large table, and Numbers will slow (drastically). It's also more difficult to navigate as the table gets larger.
2. Duplicate the current table. Remove the current data, including dates, from the copy. Transfer the final balances on the first table to the starting row of the second, and carry on.
Can't really be any more specific without knowing the structure of the table.

ITunes shows only Genius-Suggestions

In the iTunes Store Music-Section I suddenly can only see Genius-Suggestions. In the upper Screen-Corner the three Buttons for "Genius", "TopCharts" and "Spotlight" won't appear. In all other Store-Sections like Movies, Podcasts or iTunes U everything works fine.
What can I Do? I couldn't find any Option to reset the iTunes-Store.

The same has happen to my itunes on Ipad today - no way out of genius suggestions! Does anyone know of a solution?

Club Nokia and Nokia Sweden not responding on e-ma...

I have few questions about the membership and registration in Club Nokia which the Nokia Care staff could not or didn't want to answer on. The Nokia Sweden support staff didn't even reply to my message. Not only did they not reply on my message concerning the Club Nokia membership, but they never seem to reply on anything, what ever question I ask them. Once there was some technical issue with the Web site and one of the many of my messages didn't seem to have been sent to them. But that can be excused. But what about all the other times I have sent messages to them which they didn't reply on? I have been sending messages (via the e-mail contact form) to Nokia Sweden ever since I bought my first Nokia mobile phone which was like year 2003 or something like that. And they always replied on any concerns I might have had. But during the last like two years right now I was never able to get a reply from them whatever question I brought up, including the question about what's up with them and this behaviour. I have been sending messages to them for two years time period right now, from different computers, even different operating systems, and filling out different e-mail addresses where I want the reply to be sent. But still nothing!
Maybe it will work out better and I may get the reply faster if I send them the message in a bottle?... they are such a****les! This behaviour has changed my whole picture of Nokia as a company and as a brand. It used to be easy and obvious to me before what brand I would buy when I walked out to buy a new mobile phone. But right now if I was about to buy a new mobile phone (have a N73 right now) I would be in some serious doubt whether or not to buy a Nokia phone. Mobile phones of today are not as they were three or five years ago. Today, other manufacurers have developed and improved their product lines quite radically. Simply put: Nokia is not the best brand in the bussiness anymore. A Nokia product is not the only good enough product. Besides, their handhelds are totally useless on a Linux computer. That goes totally against and is contrary to their claimed beliefes and almost heroic proclamation of open source and Symbian OS being the best solution for smartphones which several manufacturers use today in their products. So I might chose a competing brand instead. What ever brand I might chose in the near future (i'm planning to buy a new smartphone or PDA next year) I will definitly take in concern the producers relation with customers. I don't accept the way I have been treated by Nokia Sweden. I could of course have called them on the phone, but that's not an excuse for the e-mail communication to be out of function, out of order, or what ever is going on over there.
E-mail communication is becoming and already is a basis for corporation-customer communication. Many big names in the IT bussiness have solely technical support by e-mail, and nothing else. When they do have technical support by phone, a great part of the customer base choses to e-mail them instead. So e-mail communication is becoming more used then the phone even between regular people like us who spend time on this discussion board. So e-mail communication is not something that is allowed to be neglected in favor for support via the phone. If we look at the way people communicate today it would become obvious that e-mail and SMS/MMS communication play an important part.
And Nokia is supposed to be "Connecting People"! Hah! So ironic!
Note! One very important thing that must be underlined here is that this bad relation thing, and Nokia not replying on e-mails only and surely applies to Nokia Sweden. Nokia UK for instance has always replied to what ever the question I had in mind. So for every time Nokia Sweden didn't reply to me, I translated the message to English and asked Nokia UK and I always got a sattisfying answer. Many thanks to you guys! You're the best! This positive and good reception may be a reason enough for me to move to England! Seriously!
Initially I just wanted to ask the questions I have below. But I felt like this post needed to be expanded little bit to give you a short flashback or foreword and to share my experience with you. Feel free to comment if you have had any bad experience with either Nokia Sweden or other Nokia support or customer care or so called "Nokia Care" depertments.
Now to my initial questions.
1. What is Club Nokia?
2. What's the difference between Club Nokia and My Nokia? If My Nokia is just a new name for Club Nokia, then what else has changed except the name?
3. Is it true that one can get a personal Club Nokia card by mail after registering for Club Nokia?
4. What is the Club Nokia card used for?
5. Is it a condition that must be fulfilled that one registers the purchased phone and shows the Club Nokia card in order to get warranty service at an authorized Nokia service shop? If it's not a condition for warranty service to have the Club Nokia card, can it still be used for those purposes (i.e. verifying the date of purchase) instead of showing the purchase receive?
