Hey, i want to buy a iphoto book as a momento of our holiday for my girlfriend. So i clicked the button, and logged in using my apple account, to find that i can't purchase one because I need a visa, master card, american express or discovery as a payment method. I do not own any of these. Why can't they use my switch card, of which they are very happy to do so for iTunes, and even on the apple store!!! Why can't they take the money out of that account as they have done so before and continue to do when I order anything!

I suspect you are correct.
I have credit cards, so that's not a problem for me, but what is annoying is if you change your iPhoto payment option to a credit card, it automatically changes your iTunes payment option - so each time I change it in one app I have to change it back in the other app (I don't want to use my CC in iTMS).
If Apple/Kodak cannot accept Switch/Maesto cards Apple should at least enable different payment options between different applications

If you mean from session-to-session, I don't expect it to keep cookies. That's the whole point. Every time Firefox is opened, I want it to write a new cookie, and keep that cookie until it closes and no longer than that. (Perhaps I should clarify: I don't mean session in the networking sense but rather in the period of time when one starts using Firefox until Firefox closes.) The behavior I want is for it to be able to write cookies when open, but only for specific sites, and then forget about them on close.
I should also mention that your responses are worthless to me because you don't explain anything. For instance, the quote above is ''not'' obvious from your reply of "Make sure you are not clearing cookies". You need to explain this; what is obvious in a reading for you is not obvious for everyone.
Furthermore, how is "Site Preferences" related to "everything on the right-side"? (Not to mention that it's unclear what you mean by "right-side.") -
I have moved my iTunes library to a new Windows 7 PC and cannot transfer music from the new iTunes PC to my iPhone 4S. The iPhone will only accept music transfers from the original iTunes PC. I have come to understand that an iPhone can have only one "daddy" iTunes PC, but have not been able to find out how to change the "daddy". I have done a backup of the iPhone, and a "Restore to Original Settings". Then I restored the content using the new iTunes PC. My Apps and contacts, etc. are back on the iPhone, but it still won't accept music from the new iTunes PC.
What happens when you try to sync the iphone to the new computer?

PAPER TRAY SUCKS. CANNOT PRINT OUT PHOTOS, TRAY ONLY ACCEPTS PAPER FROM BOTTOM TRAY. GRRRR.
My BRAND NEW (One week from delivery) no longer prints out photos. It printed out photos several times but 3 days' ago it stopped.
The paper tray is malfunctioning. Each time I try to print out a photo (remember, it's been done several times until a few days' ago) THE TRAY WILL NOT ACCEPT PAPER FROM THE TOP TRAY!!

I want to do private browsing but only accept cookies from a few websites
I love the private browsing feature, but certain websites require me to turn on cookies. How can I only allow cookies for a limited number of websites (eg. facebook), but block cookies from the 99% of the websites I visit and still be use private browsing.
It seems as though there should be an option to "Accept cookies from only these websites" list that the user can maintain, as I can't figure out any other way to accomplish this.Cookies work the same in [[Private Browsing]] as in normal mode, only all cookies expire if you end PB mode and you do not keep any new cookies permanently. You can set exceptions to site where to keep cookies. Exceptions are kept outside PB mode, unless you remove them yourself ([[Clear Recent History]], Site Preferences).

SSLServerSocket that only accepts client connections from localhost
My end goal is to create an SSLServerSocket that will only accept client connections requested by localhost.
I've tried creating a new SocketPermission:
p1 = new SocketPermission("localhost:1024-65535", "listen,connect,accept")I am able to add it to a custom Policy's PermissionCollection, but it doesn't seem to work. I believe SecurityManager.checkAccept() only checks the host's name and not the client's...
This following code works and illustrates what I'm trying to achieve, but I'd like it to happen before the socket is actually accepted:

If the server only has SocketPermission("localhost:...", "listen,connect,accept") it should only accept connections from localhost, not from B. So I don't know why the first scenario worked.
If the server only has this SocketPermission with some other hostname, it shouldn't be able to listen at any port. So I don't know why the first scenario worked.
Unless there is no security manager installed.
You can run it with -Djava.security.debug=access,failure to see what permission checks are being executed.
BTW because connections are accepted by the TCP stack before permission checking takes place, as described above, the client won't get a ConnectionException if the permission is refused at the server: it will get most probably a SocketConnection: connection reset by peer when writing to the server. -

I have updated my iphone 3gs to ios 5 from 4.1 and it has locked back to the orginal sim card in america but as i live in ireland an american simcard wont work here is there any way i can unlock ios 5 or delete it off my iphone and go back to 4.1 so i can use my iphone ?
It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this. -
Mini 210-3080NR dont accept bluetooth + wifi card from another HP Mini !?
i am have purchased one new HP Mini 210-3080NR and this have only wifi mini pci-e and need a bluetooth on this to use with my phones,i am have another mini HP models as > 210-1076NR and 110-3130NR and this 2 models have the same mini pci-e bluetooth + wifi card,i am removed the card from mini 110-3130br and put on my 210-3080nr and appears as refused hardware or imcompatible,but if put the card from mini 210-1076nr its Ok ! HP put different firmware on the same card for different models ? and have another doubt,the mini 210-3080nr not have socket for additional mini pci-e to put for example > broadcom crystal hd decoder !!!??? i dont understand this because this model have special sound as beats audio and design exclusive for this model but HP has cutted resources > no mini pci slot to additional card and not have bluetooth + wifi.

wait for reply to have solution to conflict of cards.Does the PC still have Windows 7 installed? Did you install the driver found HERE. In the intial post, it is not stated if the netbook had a similar card installed or not. Was this a replacement or an additon?

It won't matter. You are not allowed to use the Indian iTunes Store from the UAE or anywhere else outside of India.
The Service is available to you only in India. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside this location. iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance.
Since you are in the UAE, you can only use the UAE iTunes Store. You will need either to open up a new account in the UAE iTunes Store, or change the country of your existing account to the UAE.

Downloading apps it asks for apple ID Pass then it says "verification required". Then says Security Code required. Doesn't accept code. itunes doesn't accept code from visa card either?Please Help
If it is trying to verify your payment info, I would be willing to guess that it is looking for the security code for your credit card. Did you credit card just get replaced lately or the expiration date change? When is the last time that you updated your payment information in iTunes?

Is there a way to transfer songs from Sony 16GB MP3 player to an iPod Classic? Tried dragging the songs to iTunes but it only accepted 1400 of the songs, MP3 was full. I also had compiled the songs in a specific order and iTunes changed the order.
The songs from the Sony MP3 player need to be imported into your iTunes library first before they can be synced or added to your iPod Classic.
Regarding the songs that didn't import into iTunes, what format are they in and what seems to be different from them compared with the tracks that did import?
