Only "all day events" are subscribed to
When I try to subscribe to my iCloud calendar using the Outlook.com calendar from the web (NOT the Outlook calendar as such in Office 2013) -- desktop runs Win 7 Pro and Office 365, 64 bit, but the issue seems to be cloud related since it appears anywhere I access the web -- only the "all day events" transfer. The message appears that "365 out of 926 eventswere successfull updated or added to this calendar." The events not transferred are all the events with an hourly range.
MS swears this to be a known issue with the "third-party's calendar."
Any help from Apple?
Hi Julian,
Thank you for your advice The plugin was a free download, not a purchased item. So the provider is in no way beholden to provide assistance, as it was provided on a best efforts basis. However I have approached them for help also.
Next step: make my own plug-in!?

All day events are shifted one day forward (Nokia 6234)
I know that the Nokia 6234 is not officially supported for iSync, however I have found a plugin that works very well.
I am, however, perplexed by the fact that all day events are shifted to the following calendar day on my phone. If I try to move a read only event to the correct day on my phone, I get an error from iSync/iCal saying you are not allowed to edit a read only event.
I have checked the time zones for the phone and my system and the are both the same (GMT+12). I've turned time zone support on and off in iCal, with no effect.
I've tried some different values for the property "AllDayEventFormat" in the Metaclasses.plist, but they didn't seem to make any difference. Maybe because I didn't un-pair and re-pair the phone in between making changes?

Yosemite Calendar - All day events are not showing
I have been using Apple Calendar for quite some time but after I upgraded to Yosemite All day events does not show in the calendar any more. Other events in my calendar is showing.
Environment:
1: I'm on Macbook Pro Retina, running Yosemite 10.10.1
2: Calendar is version 8.0 (2026)
3: I am using Google Calendar, added as account to Calendar
Problem/Bug:
This has been working fine on Maverick until this upgrade and I think it is a bug in Calendar.
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my Google account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar.
3. When I login to my Google account calendar, the event I created just created is shown nicely there!
I then tried adding a new calendar using my iCloud account, but same thing happened:
1. I tried to add an all day event from Calendar, using my iCloud account calendar
2. Event is saved, but once saved it isn't shown in Calendar
3. I once again try, this time by logging into my iCloud account, the event I created just created is shown!
This is really weird and a major issue as all-day events are kind of important to see when you are planning and scheduling meetings.
One additional thing, I'm not sure if it is related, I have Time zone support turned on as I am working across multiple time zones.
Anyone else that have encountered this?
Thanks in advance.
// PerI have the same proble. In all views all day events don't show up. If I search for the event, there is a result but it does not appear in the calendar.

All day events are given the time 00:00 when syncing with iPod.
I recently switched from syncing with a Palm m515 to syncing my calendars and contacts with an iPod. The first time I synced, all the untimed (all day) events in my iCal became timed events, with the time set at 00:00. Is there anything I can do to remove the time from these?
A short update.
I tried going back to 7.1.1. but that didn't help at all. The only variable that changed (from the time when things were alright to the time of the trouble) was the expiration of the SRS WOW DEMO. Removing the plugin didn't help at all.
Mac OS X 10.4.9 was reinstalled and my system is back to normal now. -
Outlook all day events are one day early in ipod touch calendar...
I recently bought an ipod touch 4th generation, when I tried to sync my outlook 2007 calendar all my all-day-events came up as a whole day early on my ipod touch. I'm running iOS Version: 4.3.5 and App Version: 3.3, outlook 2007 off windows 7. I see there are a lot of unresolved older threads around the same discussion point...did anyone get anywhere?
- AnitaHi,
Same problem.
Thx -
this is something new with the new OS system
thanksMore than likely, especially since hot chocolate is a sticky solution, it has gummed up the headphone port. There is something in there that senses that the headphones are plugged in. You can try to clean it out with maybe a small round toothpick, but it might not be fixable. You may have to make an appointment with the Genius at the Apple store and see about an out of warranty replacement. User damage, including liquid damage is not covered under the warranty.

I have the problem since Maverick with my ICAL. When i start an event the time set "from" and "to" has gone...
Don't know what happened...
Thank you in advance...Hi,
Try resetting the date and time format to the one for your locality. Open System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced and set the 'Format Language' option to your local one.
Best wishes

Day view only displays 6 all-day events
Until the most recent iPhone upgrade, the day view in the calendar displayed many more untimed, all-day events. Now, it seems only to display 6. The rest of my all-day events are only visible in the list view. Is this something new Apple did on purpose, or is my iPhone acting up?
Echoing that. I thought I was the only one experiencing this. It's super annoying, and actually causing me to miss important appointments. Can anyone help? I find myself pining for the next release.

Tap Calendar

Issue: all day events arent shown in year view
Hi,
the normal behavior would indicate an event in bold in the year view. but this only happens on days where normal events (no all day events) have been set up.
i cross checked it with a 2012 client. working as expected. all day events show up in the year view.
excerpt from the manual:
Code:
Changing How All-Day Events Are Displayed
You can change the way that all day events are accepted into your calendar by using the Options menu.
1. Click Tools > Options, double-click Calendar, then click the General tab.
2. In the Accept Options area, click the drop-down menu located beneath Accept All-Day-Events I send to myself as, then choose the option you want.
3. Click OK.
sry, but i dont see how i can change the way how all day events are displayed.
is there still a need to copy the view files to the groupwise server?

The setting you quote is actually to determine how all-day events that you
create for yourself are handled (for any future event you create). By default,
all-day events have a display of "free" (as opposed to "busy" or "tentative" or
"out of office"). If your calendar is "free", then there is no bolded
indication that you have something scheduled in the year view.
If you look at an all day even in your calendar, you will see a box under
recurrence that says either "free/busy/out of office/tentative". In order for
an all day event (or any event really) to bold the calendar number, this value
cannot be "free".
There is no need to copy views to the Post Office any longer. Views are in a
fixed location on the server (/opt/novell/groupwise/agents/data) and the POA
always has access to them.

All day events showing incorrectly in iCal
I published my Exchange 2010 calendar for others to view in iCal. I can subscribe to the calendar, however all day events are not being displayed properly.
One more thing, it prints just fine in Month View. Bizarre.

All day events sync as two day events on iPhone (using MobileMe)
After starting to use MobileMe to sync calendars and contacts, I've started to have an issue with events that are marked "all day". As far as I can tell, regular timed events seem to sync correctly, but my "all day" events get put on the iPhone as two day events. I thought it might be a DST issue, but when I look at the details of the event it looks as though it's actually changing it to a two day event.
For example, someone's birthday in iCal desktop app will have the details:
all day
from: July 3
to: July 3
But on my iPhone it gets synced as:
all day
from: July 3
to: July 4
What makes this even more weird, is that when I log onto me.com, and look at the iCal web app, my "all day" events are all one day early. For the examply above, the event will appear on July 2.
This has really got me puzzled...anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
KentonSame issue with me almost exactly...but the all-day events on MobileMe and on my laptop iCal are actually on the correct day rather than the day earlier as you describe. Only the iPhone is out of whack compared to MobileMe and iCal.
I tried syncing with iTunes and when that didn't display my all-day events correctly, I sync'd over the air by turning on MobileMe Calendar push. Both ended up with many all-day events spanning 2 consecutive days. However, not all the all-day events were incorrect, but several were. I haven't been able to establish a pattern.
I am using an iPhone 8G 3G, my G4 Powerbook 12" running 10.4.11, and a MobileMe account.
I spent a hour or two on the Apple site speaking with tech support over live internet chat. I was told there were lots and lots of sync issues going on and the tech was unable to solve my issue. He mentioned casually that many of the sync problems were occurring on systems running 10.4.11.
It would be encouraging to learn if this bug that puts all-day events across two consecutive days only on the iPhone (but not on MobileMe or iCal application) is happening to others out there.
Any others out there? -
Nokia and iCal: all-day events
Whenever I use iSync to sync iCal and my E65, all-day events are sent to the phone as "meetings" that last from from 12:00am to 11:59pm instead of being synced as "notes". This is very annoying! Does anyone know of a solution? Here are my software versions:
Mac OS X: 10.4.10
iSync: 2.4
iCal: 2.0.5I researched and researched, and it looks like Mac users are out of luck on this issue. Everything seemed to go wrong when Nokia changed to SyncML to sync their calendar and address book databases. Seems like Nokia & Apple would have resolved this issue by now. From what I've heard, it's been a problem for a long time.
So, I'm giving up for now until someone has an answer. I'm only going to put calendar events on my phone and just use that as my main calendar.
If anyone's interested, there is new software for S60 called "Handy Calendar" by Epocware. It is an amazing replacement for the built-in Nokia calendar app. The one big improvement is that you can make all-day events repeat, unlike on Nokia's calendar. It uses the same database as Nokia's calendar, so you can switch between the 2 with no problems. It also has a nice, clean, good-looking interface. Unfortunately it uses Nokia's SyncML as well, so it doesn't help with iCal.
Oh, well... waiting for a fix... -

Some all-day events span 2 days
I've noticed a weird anomaly in the syncronized Calendar of my Sony Ericsson W850i.
*some* of my sync'd Birthdays and All-day events are spanning 2 days, from 23:00 the previous day and finishing 22:59 on the actual day on the event.
e.g.
Pat's Birthday on March 23 in iCal appears on the phone calendar as -All Day-
Zoe's Birthday on March 28 in iCal appears on the phone calendar as
27thMarch @ 23:00> Zoe's Birthday and finishes 28thMarch @ 22:59
if I try and ammend the phone entry, iSync spits its dummy and says
Warning • Changing all-day events on the phone is not allowed. These changes have been ignored: Zoe's Birthday, 03/28/2007
Whats strange is that its not happening to ALL my all-day events, this example is Birthdays (which is a read-only calendar) but its also doing it with other all-day events in different sync'd calendars (spanning them over 2 days and starting 23:00 finishing @ 22:59)
iSync v2.3
Feisar-W850 iSync plug-in
iCal v2.04
Address Book v4.04
Any ideas appreciated
iMac 20" MacIntel Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2GHz/512/250/SD/ATI/Airport X/BlueToothThis issue is common to all Sony Ericsson phone and is mentioned on the Support page here:
http://mobile.feisar.com/plugin_support.html#cal
Basically, its because the clocks change at the end of March, and therefore the Daylight Saving setting is incorrect in your phone for events AFTER the clocks change.

Health app: bug in daily average for sleep in year view?
