Only allow people in my Contact List to contact me...

In my Privacy settings, I have "Only allow people in my Contact list to contact me" checked, but I just recently, within the past week, started getting spam requests from people.
Why? I haven't touched my settings pretty much since I signed up (maybe at the beginning to get things right, but not within the past year and a half).

Uncheck the box > SAVE > Wait 2 minutes > Check the box > SAVE.

I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

I have looked at Adobe Acrobat 9.0 and found the Signing > locking feature which blocks any changes after the document is signed. I need to know whether using Acrobat SDK, one could implement a similar locking option via plugin in a way that it ONLY allows further blank signature fields to be created or sign existing ones and locks all other changes. If possible, any pointers to API functions would be appreciated.
If the above is not possible using Acrobat SDK 9.0 then can the SDK provides a list of all the set of changes made after the signing is performed (at the time of verification) in the form of some codes which can guide the plugin author about what change after signing was done e.g.
a blank signature field was signed
a blank signature field is created
watermark has been applied
form is filled
sticky notes/stamps/other annotations are added

Thanks for your response. I have just performed this:
I signed a PDF ( having no prior signature or blank signature fields ) using Adobe Acrobat 9.0 and locked it. I am now not able to create more signatures on this PDF. I believe I can't add more signatures even using the Acrobat SDK and Lock means complete lock-down of the document. This is different to what you said " it restricts modifications EXCEPT for other signings" or may be I am not understanding it clearly.
I created two blank signature fields. When I clicked on the first, there is no Lock settings at the time of signing. I believe because If it is locked then the next signature can't be signed. With only a single signature field present, the lock feature is there.
So I believe I have to resort to the option of identifying the changes in a revision and then if it the change is related to say adding stamps, sticky notes prompts the user at the time of verification.
Can some one point me to the API functions set which identify list the objects which have changed after signing.

How does one handle Stock agencies that only allow 64 characters for keyword lists

since LR4 puts the keywords in alphabetical order the keywords would be truncated and my most popular keywords would not make it to agencies search engines. Anybody know of a way to put the most powerfull keywords up the front. Or do I need to edit keywords specifically for this agency thus doubling my work.

The Enet-485 contains several levels of buffers which impact how flow control works. When you write data from the PC the data buffer is transmitted to the Enet-485 where it is stored to be transmitted out of the desired port. In addition to deep software buffers, the Enet-485 also has a deep (128 byte) hardware FIFO that lays just above the physical (RS-485) layer.
This FIFO is "RTS/CTS" sensitive and can react (ie: "turn off") very quickly in response to RTS/CTS handshaking. However the software flow control (XON/XOFF) is handled by the Enet-485 firmware. Thus if the TX FIFO has more then 5 bytes and an XOFF is received, it is not possible to turn off the serial stream until the FIFO is empty, which causes a data overrun.
The reason why wait
ing between bytes works (but is slow) is that at any time an XOFF character is received, the FIFO will contain less than 5 bytes and thus not overflow.
However, if you know the size of the receive buffer, then is it possible to send data in lagre (40k) chunks with a slight pause between to allow for the XOFF to be received and processed? You can guesstimate the timing based on the baudrate, buffer size, and network delay (typically ~100ms but can be more).

Why do my recently added contacts not show up in contacts list, but show up as contacts in a global search of my iphone?

I have an iPhone 3gs
I suspect that its not just newly created contacts that don't show up in my contacts list, but contacts I added through text message or missed calls. Again, they show up as contacts when I search my iphone for their name. I have never backed up my contacts from any of my mail accounts (people said they were having problem with exchange, and I recently deleted my exchange account). I am not using MobileMe.
When I sync with iTunes, and select Sync Address Book Contacts, I have "All Contacts" selected. The option to select "Selected Groups" is grayed out.
When I look at my groups in my Contacts list App, I am viewing under "All Contacts". There are no other group options.
This is a very annoying problem has anyone officially had it solved??

You can, but it's a bit involved and requires using an app. Probably not worth it for only 5 contacts. If you're interested in how you would do this, you would do the following:
Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (any iCloud contacts will still be in iCloud).
Download the app My Contacts Backup. (If you have more than 500 contacts to transfer you will need the “Pro” version.) Use the app to back up the remaining contacts on your phone (from the other accounts) as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Confirm that you have received the email.
Go to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section) and set this to iCloud.
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars…tap each of the other accounts you are syncing contacts with and turn off contacts syncing with these accounts (otherwise you will see duplicate contacts on your device).
Open the My Contacts Backup email and tap the attachment to import the contacts from the other accounts back to your device, and to iCloud.

How do I only allow certain users to print in color?

Operating System Installed: Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit)
I work at a K-12 school and purchased the HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225dn Printer (CE712A) for use in our computer lab. I would like to know if it is possible to have it so that only certain users can print in color (possibly put a password on it). I know the cost for color is higher, and therefore, would like it so that students have to approve through teacher if they want to print in color.
We are running it on our Print Server (networked) not through USB.

That's a very good question actually. In my corporate networks, we are talking about hundreds of laser printers and the ONLY thing we can do: only allow people access to a set of mono laser printers, not all printers. For example, the following printer is using B&W as default but can't stop users to print in colors if they could access to the resourse:

HT3529 Contacts not found in contact list after saving from new text message

When a new number texts me and I save it to my contacts, I can find that contact when texting, but contact does not show up on my phone list contacts. For Example: I received a text message from (555) 555-5555. I #1 clicked "Contact" in the top right corner of the text message screen, #2 clicked "i" button, #3 clicked "Create New Contact," #4 added first and last name, and #5 clicked "Done."
In the future, if I try and text that saved number, the contact will appear under the saved name. But if i press the phone icon and look at my contact list, the contact is not there. So if I try and text "Heather Campbell" i can find the contact by clicking new message and typing "Hea" and send her a text message with no problem. However if I go to my phone contact list and try to call her, she is not listed as a contact.

Unfortunetly, that's not the problem. I have 3 groups. 1. All iCloud 2. All Hotmail 3. All Facebook. I have the All iCloud checked, i do not want facebook friends and email addresses in this contact list. This will only give me a list of phone numbers I saved from call log. Not phone numbers I saved through text message. Thank you though!

Why don't all of my contacts show in my contact list?

when i'm writing a text i can add contacts by typing in their name in the search bar at the top, however alot of these copntacts dont show up in my contact list
my contact list only shows 68 contacs however there should be more like 150 in there! can anybody help as this is really frustrating when i need to look for a particular contact!!!!

Ahh.. I think I misunderstood your issue before... In text it timestamps the first message, then if you are going back and forth and back and forth it doesnt fill up with timestamps, but if you wait 15 minutes or more between messages, then the next one will be timestamped.... so if you dont see it timestamped, it was within 15 min of the last message.

After 10.5.7 HDMI connected 24" Monitors only allow 1080p

After 10.5.7 update my 24" LG L246WH monitors which are connected with HDMI / DVI-D cables to the NVIDIA 8800 GT only allow 1080p and the monitor list doesn't show the 1920x1200 resolution anymore.
Now I have to use the DSub connection with VGA cables and DVI adapters to get back to my normal desktop settings.
Why this ?

Having the same issue, but with a MacBook 2,1 and a HP w2408h, connected to HDMI with a HDMI-DVI cable on a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter (this display has no DVI port, the HDMI port is the only digital input it supports).
Prior to 10.5.7 I could run the native resolution of 1920x1200 just fine. Now the system insists that 1080p is the highest resolution possible.
This is definitely a global regression in the way OS X handles monitors connected using HDMI. Not driver specific.

Random People On My Buddy List

I just signed onto iChat for the first time today, and I am seeing random people on by buddylist, most of which are computers... i think.
Is there a reason for this?

Having said that, I haven't seen this problem (could it be my setting of Allow people in my Buddy List is stopping me from getting them? (This aimed at Ralph more than you)).
Are you just using iChat or are you using AOL Instant Messenger?

then seletct contact list several contacts are listed 2 times and one email address I do not want on there.

In the Mail app, select the mail that contains the address that you want. Where it says "From:" tap on their name. You will then have the options to create a new contact or add to an existing contact.

How do I restrict calls to only people in contact list?

My daughter has gotten herself into quite a bit of trouble with who she's been talking / texting to and what she's been talking /texting about. She needs to have a phone so I just can't take the iphone 4 away from her. I have already disabled texting and safari, but Is there a way to restrict incoming and outgoing calls to people only listed in her contacts list? And is there a way to lock the contacts list? I could really use some information on this... and quick.

Why is my contact list showing Facebook profiles of people whose number I don't have in my contacts? Isn't the "contact list" supposed to only identify and match facebook profiles with contact phone numbers within my iphone?

When I went into the Facebook app on my iPhone 4S, I tried finding friends through my contact list. I thought only contacts with cellphone numbers matching a Facebook profile would appear to add as a friend. What's being populated are friends of my friends. Why is this happening? A friend of a friend isn't my contact. Shouldn't a true contact have a phone number in my contact list when attempting to match contact to Facebook profile or did things change with iOS 7.0.3??

Many mail clients reject images, JavaScript and embedded CSS styles. For best results use plain text near the top to communicate your message and give a link to the actual web page on your server.
For mail clients that do have limited support for HTML, use uncomplicated tables and inline CSS rules (inside the body tag).
All that meta data description is a red flag to spam filters. You shouldn't be using meta description or keywords in e-mails.
